I have a big problem. My new HAM only update to B107. Output state was only B105.
Then i flashed the B221 from Huawei page with dload from SD card. After this i cant move symbols on the homescreens and many suboption are not aktive.
If i look at Huawei page there is a current FW B107 only for Vodafone, but my mobile isn't with Vodafone branding. Why does my Ham not update higher to B221 or so?
anyone an idea?
How can anyone help to me if I can write a special problem only in "general thread"? Who came up with that?
Can somebody move this to the right subforum, PLZ!!!

I just bought a new Huawei P8 GRA-UL00 from China and currently the device has GRA-UL00C00B153 build EMUI 3.1.
I live in Europe and even I have chosen the English language settings, the device still has many Chinese specific notifiers, apps, and some other stuff and as you know, there are restrictions on google services, play store, etc..
I searched over the forum and also some other resources to learn whether it is possible to modify the phone as to be purchased in Europe. After I read many discussions, I am now highly confused.
Do I need to unblock and root the device for removing the Chinese stuff or is it also possible to do it by finding and installing a European firmware (if exists) from the manufacturer?
I will be pleased if you guys can help me in this issue.

Hello,
I live in France and I have the same problem on my P8 GRA-UL10 with a B183 China ROM version.
I can easily upgrade to an other B173 China ROM version but I can't upgrade to B143 General ROM version.
How to install a B141 General ROM version ? Do I have to unlock the bootloader ?

Your best option is to select the ROM produced for Europe.
After preparation ROM root the phone and then unlocking the bootloader downgrade supplier.
Most likely your problem will be solved.

It was a hard task but I unclocked the bootloader of my GRA-UL10 (I also root it) but I can not upgrade my offical B173 China ROM to a official B143 General ROM, I see this message hpics.li/4d8b21f

I bought a Huawei P8 mystic champagne in Italy via amazon and when it starts up or shut down, there is an horrible sound with picture corresponding to the operator Wind Italy. I would like to change that. I think that I could change that by upgrading the phone but I am a newbie and I have absolutely no idea that how I can do that. My version is GRA-L09V100R001C432B140. I suppose that this version is an official version.
Should I need to be root to upgrade with a non official version?
Is there somewhere a tutorial to upgrade the phone?

Actually, the change that I was looking for is called: "Clean debranding P8 (GRA-L09)"

I'm totally new with modifying phone software... So please me gentle with me and give detail instructions. Probably all information is already here in forum, but really do not know which bit I should do/read.
I have got MT7-TL00 and would like to get it upgraded to 5.1 or something.
And most importantly can version be changed to european? Its partly in English, but lots of Chinese.
So is TL00 Chinese and TL10 and like other region version? Is hardware identical, so I could somehow get version changed?
I read few posts and it mentioned rooting flashing etc. so really do not know how to start...

Forcible Upgrade

Anyone got info on the varsioning/naming scheme used? I guess 8.1.0.108 corresponds with AOSP versioning, and Cxxx is Huaweis build? How does Huawei number their builds? What about the first code "CLT-L29"?
