I would like to get my acre iconia a1-810 android 4.2.2 tablet back to the way it was when I got it. I tried root, but it doesn't quite work completely and I hear acer is gonna be releasing an android 4.4 kitkat update for this tablet and a couple other tablets and you usually can't update if you're rooted. Does anyone have the stock firmware for this tablet? I would like it as a update.zip so I can flash it to my tablet using the recovery.
the image version is Acer_AV052_A1-810_RV26RC06_PA_CUS1 and its build number is Acer_AV052_A1-810_1.116.00_PA_CUS1

Hi everyone. I have purchased a 7" chinese tablet from ebay, with android 4.0.4.
The specs: Proc Allwinner A10 1,2 GHz, 1GB RAM, Resistive 5 point tutchscreen, 8GB SDCARD and 16GB EXTSD.
Last day i have rooted it with Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry_v18 script from here. After installing busybox i have rebooted the device, then everything got stuck.and the tutch
When rebooter it startup in the factory settings, every changes i made will lost after reboot / poweroff, and i can`t install any app cuz it show me i have no free memory, but i know its about 6GB free.
After this i have installed another chinese rom, and now my tablet is stuck. I have the same problems, and the tutchscreen no`t work
Any chance to get this tablet alive? It is new :crying:
Any luck on this tab with root of app s???
i have a Ployer Momo9 which is the same as an IVIEW tablet and i had similar problems to you. i tried MANY firmwares and the best one and the one that works the best is the Cyanogenmod 10 which has some patch files depending on the tablet you have. it had the patch for ployer momo 9 and so i installed it. tablet is much faster but still freezes sometimes due to the tablet being a cheap tablet. some tablets are just too cheap and are not well designed. for example, my momo 9 has a problem with the touchscreen, it isnt grounded properly. only a new tablet can solve that manufacturing problem. the custom rom helped a lot, but its not perfect.
Hello ...
I experienced a lot issues an made some mistakes ...
But now my Acer Iconia Tab A511 runs perfectly as rooted tablet with JB
... Unfortunately that JB is for the Iconia A510 so that i can't connect via 3G ....:crying:
As the official a511 JB update tried to "invade my Tablet (this was before i returned to the 4.0.3 Stock OS)
i could store it for later installation. 6bb1bd0aa675.Acer_A511_AV041.RV35RC04_AV051.RV00RC06_EMEA_DE.zip
Now i tried to install the right update via NoThrills recovery but got some errors.
I deleted at first the line in \META-INF\com\google\android\updater-script [assert(getprop("ro.product.name") == "a511_emea_de")]
so that the installation could go on ...but...
Has anybody an idea how i can update correctly?
Hi guys,
I bought a cheap tablet, It worked fine until i got an update to lollipop, it slowed the device down horribly and it can't multitask at all anymore. Even opening a new tab in google chrome is terrible laggy and slow.
I managed to get the tablet rooted with kingroot, the programs that came with it to clean and speed up the device work great, but the tablet still not works optimal.
When i tried to install the old rom from the asus website in recovery it sayd it cant find the root destination folder or something like that. And rom manager says there is a more recent version of cwm but when i want to install it it says my tablet is not supported. So how can i go back to the kitkat version of the rom? Am i doing something wrong?
Thanks in advance for your help!
up
anyone?
no one?
I have an old Zeki TB782B FID:BN 7" tablet that I haven't used for a while. My son recently decided he wanted a cheap tablet, so I thought I'd give him this one. (Before I set the Zeki aside for a new Samsung Tab S 8.4, it was working fine, but it was just too slow for my liking.) I plugged the Zeki up to charge, and after a while, I turned it on. It displayed the ZEKI splash screen then the ANDROID screen, but after several minutes it got no further. I tried several things, but eventually, it wouldn't even get past the ZEKI splash screen. Then I tried to reset the tablet to the factory settings, but that didn't help.
I searched several places, including the xda Developers Forum, and I found several threads on flashing the tablet. So I tried to update the system (which would have now been at Android 4.0.3 if the factory reset had worked) to Android 4.0.4 using a microSD card - The 4.0.4 update seemed to work, but after resetting the tablet, it still refused to get past the ZEKI splash screen.
One of the threads in the forum on this site (How to Flash Zeki TB782B, TB1082B Rom with Livesuit) gave instructions on flashing a new ROM using Live Suite (and another one that used Phoenix Suit). I downloaded and installed both of these ROM flash programs, but I cannot find the stock (or a custom) ROM for this particular model. One xda thread contained links to ROMs for various Zeki's, including my model, but none of the links work - They say that the ROM files have been deleted.
I also looked on the Zeki web site for help, but they don't provide anything about their firmware.
I did find image files for "Allwinner A10 Stock Firmware" and for "A721 Mainboard Firmware Version 4.2.0" on another site - Each of these contain an img file that might be what I need, but I'm not sure if they would work with this tablet - The Zeki TB782B uses an Allwinner A10 chip, but I'm not sure what the actual chipset is. And I have opened the tablet and looked at the motherboard, but other than verifying the CPU chip, I'm unable to see much more. Therefore, I'm afraid I would brick the tablet if I flash it with one of those generic Allwinner ROMs.
If anyone has, or can point me to, a stock/custom ROM that will work with this tablet, I would greatly appreciate it.
