I'm going to upgrade my smartphone to Cianogenmod 9.2.3 because now I'm using stock rom (2.2.1, 20b), I don't know about what kernel...
I read about Sweet, Hepappy but I'd like your suggestions...
Thanks
I've used all the roms for this phone, but i would recommend you using bigsupersquid's kitkat rom or if you prefer performance find a cm7 rom that has a preferable theme. Like the cm7 touchwiz rom for optimus v

Hahahahahahah.
Forget kitkat, stick with CM9. I can discuss this issue all day long and CM9 will still prevail as daily driver.
Cm7 may be faster but lacks android compatibility as apps these days require 4.0+ which is the reason why is he/she upgrading firmware.
I've tried Djnoxd's candledice and sweetnsour's 13 CFS. Use Djnoxd's, it's better in stability and smoother. The only badside is that zRam isn't included.

The same way you flashed CM, download, put on the root of your sd card, and flash them. I believe these are the latest: http://cmw.22aaf3.com/gapps/gapps-gb-20110828-signed.zip
Thank you so much it works great thank you again

So you obviously know way more then I do about this what is the best rom in your opinion? And does that app pack work on all roms or just cyanogen mod?
Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA App
It works on all ROMs except the CM9 alpha that was released. Until you're less new you might want to hold off on that until there is a stable release.
Thanks the cyanogen nightly that I installed is slower then the stock one .just wondering what roms are best

Google Euroskank and go to the first one that pops up, hit the P999 tab and grab the latest and grab any of the custom kernels that strike your fancy or do what I started to do and try one for a week or two and see how I like it.
I thought those were only for the O2x not g2x
Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA App
Nope, just make sure you choose P999 from their page. The official CM got was down and I liked their nightlies and had no problems I didn't have on the stable release.

So what would be the best in your opinion to use
Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA App
Kernel?
It depends: If you want battery life get Trinity ELP (I that's the one, the one which only allows to OC to 1.1GHz) if you want pure power go for Faux, if you want a balance (don't know if it has Voodoo sound though) go for Dragon for CM7 (not OTA).
So I take it that you can use different kernals with different roms and you flash them the same as the roms?

Most, if not all of the newer custom roms are debloted, meaning the bloat has been removed in OTA based roms. If its AOSP or CM based, it's built without bloat.
it would be nice if the nice developer build a oc kernel for stock rom.
device : samsung galaxy tab 2 10.1 (P-5100)

Hm.
GB all the way!
well i have tried both CM9 and 10 for my phone, and they stil sucks. Either the camera + root is not working, or everything is realy laggy.
So CM 7.2 on gingerbread is the only option for galaxy ace at the time.
P.S.
btw if someone know any working cm9/10 rom for ace let me know
Galaxy ace running apocalypse final ROM
Rooted ICS 4.0.4.. with many build.prop edits...Fast n smooth even without custom rom
Gingerbread, because I don't have a choice.

On my SGS3 I've got CyanogenMod10exp! On my previouros "old" phone, ( i keep it for my father, it's SGS1, and he must learn much about the android ), and he want a stable and quick soft on it! So, it's got CyanogenMod7! I think the soft depends about the phone, the hardver, the support, and first of all... who use it!

ICS since CM9 for my phone is fantastic as everything works with little bugs that don't really bother how I use my phone since its mostly used for gaming.
JB/CM10... on ICS kernel.
Don't ask.. locked bootloader.
Gb here... ICS still has issues on Desire, since there was no official update and i need a responsive & working phone.

Jelly Time has become pretty nice for my DHD. Before I was using CM 7.2.
GB. Because you need a factory unlocked/dev device to flash ICS

For my device :
Gingerbread = n/a
ICS = more stable and fast (cm 9 Credit Christian Troy)
Other choice
JB : cool, many feature, fast, and stable (cm 10 Credit Christian Troy)

Previously a GB User but now with Desire C have to say ICS is not that working flawless with the Sense 4.0(A)
I'm using ICS right now, but waiting (hopefully) for JB to kick in.
Hi guys I'm just wondering what rom and kernal you are using right now that's smooth and doesn't freeze as often. Right now I'm currently on stock and I still have hope in a fully working jellybean

I vote CM7 or PA CM10 Build 9. Each with Mazouts kernel.
After 1 year of use I found this perfect setup: Official Cm 7.2 + trinity kernel (the only one with no BSOD) + wolfscript (help for battery life and fluidity).

Do you prefare stock or custom Rom and why?
I hope the answer include battery , interface and performance issues .
Thanks for all participants .

My first phone was an epic and stock was OK but you get stuck on whatever version they.. Namely Samsung ..leaves you at. I have a galaxy s relay now and stock sucked because of bloat ware. Way better rooted and with 4.2.2
Sent from my SGH-T699 using xda premium
It really depends, I like custom ROMs because it sometimes really helps the device performance wise and visually, but stock roms are sometimes more stable then custom roms, for battery I think custom ROM drains it much quicker
