hi everyone, I own a one x and I'd like to know if its necessary to change the stock rom to a custom rom, like CM. I think with another rom it should run faster! and if it is true, what rom do you recommend to flash, thanks!:good:
Asking which ROM is best/most stable/fastest/prettiest question isn't allowed so I can't answer that, here's why. To say one ROM is better is to infer that the others are inferior in some way. This is disrespectful to the devs who spend their spare time bringing us these awesome ROMs free of charge. Each user has different tastes anyway, the best way to see which ROM suits you is to flash a few and find out for yourself.

The best ROM discussions aren't allowed on xda. Just go through development section in ur forum and chose whichever suits u the best.
life!
agree completely with above
OP, best ROM threads are really pointless because each person is going to have a different lists of things they need the ROM to do and what they expect from a ROM. The best thing to do is read through the forum for your phone Nexus S and gather all the information you can from there. There are stickies and tons of threads in Development to help you and guide you. Just pick a few ROMs that look interesting to you and flash them and see which best fits your needs.
Good Luck. Closing this one.
im new to this stuff, and last year i managed to brick my phone but luckily they let me replace it.
Since i finally managed to root my phone, can you tell the best custom rom for C2-ville?
i wanted to try cyanogenmod 10.2, but it seems like that is unofficial and the camera doesn't work? please confirm
thanks~ much appreciated
Based on stability either miui or viperc2 sense 5.

cm are good too on villec2, camera works although
Best aosp roms r avalible for ville (s4)
As Flashalot mentioned, these types of threads are not allowed on XDA.
The main reasons for this are;
* It often causes arguments/disputes between users of different ROMs.
*It seems quite disrespectful to ask which is the BEST (I'm sure that's not your intention but that's how it appears).
The best way to find out which ROM is most suitable for you is to try them for yourself. Even though doing so takes more time, it gives you a proper opportunity to find out which ROM features you most prefer and you may also discover a brilliant ROM which wasn't even suggested by others.
For the reasons mentioned above, Thread Closed

Hi,
Recently I got the AT & T HTC One X+ (Evarite UL). I searched for CyanogenMod 11 for HTC One XL+. But no luck. Is there any alternate ROM for this device. which is stable and have active development assurance. Basically I wanted to install KitKat ont his device.
Pardon me if I posted under inappropriate section.
Firstly, you're in the wrong forum, this is the HTC One XL (Evita) forum. Secondly, you seem a bit confused as to the name of your device, there is no such thing as the One XL+, you have the One X+. Thirdly, asking which ROM is best/most stable/fastest/prettiest question isn't allowed so I can't answer that, here's why. To say one ROM is better is to infer that the others are inferior in some way. This is disrespectful to the devs who spend their spare time bringing us these awesome ROMs free of charge. I got my N5 yesterday, and I guess there is a lot more one can derive out of the phone once rooted (something I havent done yet, will probably do it today). I wanted to know which would be the best custom ROM to install on my N5, one that has the least (or no) bugs. It would be awesome if you guys could suggest the most stable custom ROM for N5. There are too many cus ROMs here, it proved to be a painstaking task to go through each and every one of them and going through the threads to find out what bugs it has..

Awesome and against the rules.
Best ROM/Stable ROM/Good to go threads are against the FORUM rules.
Take some time, read search and find yourself something suitable for you.
I am new to this device and slightly overwhelmed by how many ROMs there are to choose from. I love the stock software on the phone (i believe its cm11s?) but want some of the flexibility that comes with a custom ROM. im already unlocked and rooted but just looking for the right ROM.
Yes I know I can try to flash and just backup but hoping for direction on a good place to start.
These questions don't really offer much assistance very often, you're just gonna get a bunch of different opinions. Like you said yourself, flashing is the only real way to find out what's going to be best for you. Just have a look through the ROMs, they list their features in the first post of the ROM thread, so it should be easy for you to figure out which ROM(s) has the features you're looking for.
For what it's worth though I run Nameless ROM, it's close to stock but has a killer kernel and good ROM features. Fantastic battery life too. There's no thread for it on XDA though, they have a Google+ community here:

Does that ROM have the camera with 4k and slomo?
No custom ROM does. Only CM11S has it. But you can install it manually.
