Google Maps 5.2 Hits Android Market with Excellent New Features

Google has released a new version of its popular map application Google Maps for Android. The updated version 5.2 brings feature tweet all of your Hotpot pals and your friends using Google apps, sending out your review and recommendation of a location.
Latest features:
- Post your reviews of places to Twitter.
- Check in at places with Google Latitude to earn status and share with friends.
- Ping Latitude friends to ask them to check in. Friends will get a check-in request notification from you.
- Search for a place to check in from Latitude if it’s not in the suggested list of places

please advise how to download it, i'm using galaxy s no root and can not found google maps in Market. using v5.0 installed from SD

Join the g+ community: http://bit.ly/1nEZt0V , then you can download the beta app, the download link is posted & pinned on top in the community. This is how the google play store beta works, you have to join the community and only then you will have access to download the app, if you click the link posted there it will give you an error until you join in..

is it possible to run this on a Android Headunit with USB Camera support ?

with the increase of Android Head Units 4GB 32GB 9 cores this application would be a great add.
The view itself could be strip or hidden and based on events send warnings to the screen.

Hi! I've been working on an online trivia game for Android for the past few months and I wanted to get some input before officially launching it. It's fully functional, except for push notifications and inviting your Facebook friends to play, but you can always play with a random player
I'm using Google Play's beta-tester program, so you'll have to joing the Google+ group. If you don't want that, I've also uploaded the APK to Dropbox. Here are the links:

Since many of you are developers, and it's always interesting to see what's behind an app, here's a few technologies/libraries I used:
Android app: Retrofit, Otto, Dagger, Picasso, Okhttp, Butterknife, MPAndroidChart, Crashlytics
Server-Side: Spark to develop the Rest API, MongoDB for data storage, hosted in a very cheap VPN for now
Anyways, I'd love any type of comments, suggestions, bug reports, etc.

at the moment its only a Beta available only for Android. Most users nowadays use a app more than a classic website. We just want to concentrate on one platform at the beginning. If this app turns out to be useful for people and they want to use it, then we will implement other platforms as well.
