I have:
HTC One S (S4)
Hboot 2.15
Radio 1.15
Unlocked bootloader
S-ON
Viper 3.1.2 ROM
TWRP Recovery
And I have no ADB connection when phone is connected to my Windows 7 computer.
I have HTC Drivers installed (From installing HTC Sync - HTC Sync I removed again).
I have fastboot connection working just perfect.
But for some reason I get no devices connected when issuing
Code:
adb devices
USB debugging is enabled on the device and fastboot is disabled from the power menu..
Anyone got any suggestions?
same issue, does anyone know sth about that?

ruu says
trying to reboot in bootloader .............
but no luck
ever tried with htcdev bootunlock method to S-Off
gots this
fastboot oem get_identifier_token
C:\sdk>fastboot oem get_identifier_token
Program too big to fit in memory
Try to go fast-boot and run ruu should work.
If not take out the battery and hold volume down and swith on,run recovery or fast-boot and then run ruu.
yes i have done that too
in fastboot ruu runs and read info of my set (which show that its conected with pc)
but when ruu tried to reboot in bootloader
it takes almost 30 minutes then error comes of usb conectivity
problem is that bootloader are locked
it shows when pluged in fastboot mode
"Locked"
It will do, that's completely normal
i think still a driver problem with your laptop.
download the official one from HTC, just following the installation and STOP the installation when it wants you in install HTC SYNC!!

This is common, and as @rzr86 suggested, try:
Try all USB ports (especially 2.0)
Uninstall HTC Sync
Install Google USB Drivers
Install HTC USb Drivers
Ensure it says FASTBOOT USB
Run fastboot devices
Hi there,
I am rooted but wanted to install SuperCID so that I could s-off. It has been awhile since I have rooted and installed TWRP recovery but now after trying to install SuperCID I seem to have trouble executing fastboot commands, in bootloader I see 'Fastboot USB" after connecting to my primary USB ports (heck, I tried all 4 from my motherboard) but the commands do not seem to sync with my device (other commands seem to work such as me checking my CID [currently Rogers001]) so I do not know what happened...
Sorry for the potential lack of xda-vocabulary... I don't do this often.
TIA

Your computer need htcsync and ADB installed to run fastboot
Did you download and install both of this software to ur computer?
And you need to lead to the folder where you store fastboot and adb, running CMD in this folder.
You are using Roger HTC 1x as same as me, so i can help you a lot hahaha

Yes, I have the drivers (ADB/Fastboot) in a folder on C:\ and have pointed to that folder in cmd prompt (I should mention I have successfully leveraged the commands in the past).
However, I do not have HTC Sync installed so let me give that a shot...
Edit - after installing HTC Sync and connecting the phone (after unlocking the PIN, of course) - it could not connect to my device. Any advice/suggestions? This is probably going to tie into the same reason why I cannot connect via fastboot to my device.
Side note is that I am running CleanROM 6.5 if it makes any difference (stock kernel or whatever the roms come with).

Still having no luck.

Only thread I found in my quick search that was well, my problem.
After accidentally hitting Factory Reset, I managed to lose all USB connectivity functionality.
I CAN boot into bootloader.
I CAN boot into recovery.
ADB - no response.
Fastboot - no response.
Connecting my computer USB cable to my phone in the bootloader screen doesn't even change to "Fastboot USB" anymore.
I have Windows 8 on my desktop and I just tried connecting it to my buddys laptop to see if that would change, and no luck.
Fastboot pulls zero devices in command prompt, and adb (obviously) doesn't either.
Mounting SD/USB in Recovery does nothing and isn't detected by either pc's.
Any ideas?
Windows 8 64-bit
TWRP Recovery - 2.6.3.0
HTC BMP USB Driver 1.0.5375
HTC Driver Installer 4.5.0.001
Android Debug Bridge 1.0.31
SuperCID

hi, I know there are lots of threads like this on forums, but they made no sense for me.
adb does recognize my sensation but fastboot doesn't.
when I enter the adb devices command it shows up but when I enter the fastboot devices, even in fastboot mode, it doesn't show up.
how can I fix this? I have htc sync, latest htc drivers, and android sdk installed.
viperS rom.
