As far as i kno

But gave me no help
So just give me the backup
Sony signed it's firmware so even if we extract the system-signed.sin and convert it to raw or ext4 we can't still extract the system dump. Sony doesn't want to let his firmware to be leaked. since Mediatek devices can easily port roms from each other when they have the xperia firmware.
I myself is an owner of different mediatek device with the same chipset with xperia C(mt6589).
I already made a Z2 rom based from 16.0.B.2.6 but I can't update it yet because I can't extract the 16.0.B.2.13 firmware because it is signed.
the only thing that can help us and you Xperia C users is to extract your ROM via MTKDroidTools. Have a system dump and upload it here for us rom modder, tweaker and devs.

I recommend absolutely a specific tool to flash the ROM that you want in your Xperia L: FLASHTOOL (downloaded from here)
It's very useful and easy to work with.

Boot.img: most of the kernels that I have used, don't wor properly with wifi, so I use the boot from AOSPA to, downloaded from the link above

Flash the stock ftf of jb in flash tool, install the firmware updates and then flash the boot img in this rom(beta 4) install it .The wifi will work fine!

There Are Some Awesome Lollipops till now but Nougat or Marshmallow is impossible till source codes or Official Marshmallow update which have no signs so far

Now i flashed the custom recovery it seems the fastboot drivers were not properly installed. Also can you port the lineage OS custom ROM from LYF water 8 to LYF water 1? because except the RAM increase everything is actually same so that i can actually get a chance to make this device faster than the stock ROM which is horribly slow for this hardware . I cant do backup now cause i have switched to india variant..
So i made that backup before flashing..
But if you want to switch..
Just restore that oem in twrp.. reboot phone..it will say Serious damagw caused to data partition-format data.. touch on format.. after format it will reboot to erecovery..from there connect to wifi then it will download formware according to oem data and will flash for you.. boom phone gone to cn ..

*Make sure you make backup of current rom and save backup to pc in case..
