In the last few days Tapatalk has started acting up - it kicks me out of my XDA login after a while of me not using the app. It never used to do this. Anyone else having the same issue, or know a way of fixing it? I'm using Tapatalk 4.4.12

Hi guys, well as the title says I'm having issues with both tapatalk pro and xda premium apps, both are latest update just update them from market today, also I'm using braimaster's ICS rom , matrix kernal 13.0 and my phone is a 9020a...
Well the issue is the following using tapatalk pro I'm able to open the app, and browse through all the sections but if I open a thread and then I try to go back, it take me to home page (where you see all sections) instead of the specific section I am.
From other side using XDA premium, I'm able to browse through forums as well, but again if I open a thread and try to go back it actually close the app and it take me back to either launcher or drawer..
No FC...
What can I do?? Is it a known issue??
P.S: I tried to uninstall the apps and then reinstalled them back, clear data, reinstall from from scratch but I always have same issue with both apps
Any help will be really appreciate it

I get that occasionally but it seems to go away on its own. No problems here on transparent blue Tapatalk or XDA Premium right now though. Did you try a reboot? If so, did toy try a cache and dalvik wipe and reboot?

I was getting some force close when trying to read a pm in tapatalk..so I uninstalled tapatalk & xda..then there was an update for titanium,,at that point the phone seemed to hang, so I rebooted the phone and then it would give me multiple force close of just about every app..keyboard force close etc...& some icons at the top of the screen that I have never seen before..ie a circular battery icon..
I was able to boot into rom manager..but not sure what to do next? Don't want to make it any worse..lol
What ROM?

Everything was force closing.. No keyboard.... Really strange!
So at the moment it's fine... But WEIRD!

Thanks.. Just don't understand why.... I don't know if this started with talkapk, it was force closing when I was trying to open a pm.. or if it was titanium or supersu?
kind of freaked me out though...!
A great reason for backups

Yeah, maybe... It seemed fine at first... Now just updating some 200+ apps Fortunately I had a CWM backup from a couple weeks ago....
But nothing worked on the phone... Thankfully I could get into recovery... Phew

Fixing force close issues
The best thing to do for force closes is to go into ROM Manager, scroll down to where you see "Fix Permissions" and run them. It fixes force close problems all the time for me

Thanks, but the phone was at the point where it was unusable... The only functionality was with the volume & power buttons... Lesson learned... Along with Titanium do a CWM backup weekly... It's amazing how much you can change on your phone, without realising it!

Sense the last verizon update I can no longer install any ap or content from the internet. Not even from XDA. I can download the files, but when I try to install nothing happens. I never had this issue before. Im not looking forward to the verizon version of the ICS update as im sure more things will be screwed up. I downloaded the amazon ap store, cant install, and the play store update from XDA today, no luck to install it either. All settings are set to alow outside installs. If there is an ap stopping out of market installs it had to come from verizons last update. As I have been following XDA now through the dink 1 and the TB and never had this issue before. Im not tech savey enough to root my phone, even though it sounds easy enough with all the instructions from XDAs fine people. I have a motorola zoom 4.0 wifi only and it downloads and installs everything just fine. Thats why I keep thinking its from verizons update. Any suggestions?

Try clearing the data for the market app under settings/applications

What happens when you try to install apk's? Also I assume you know this but the all in one root tool is about the easiest thing to do... If you can't root with it then I dunno.

^^ This.
Odd though it may sound, this fixed it for me WAAAY back when bjust before I rooted. Brute force perhaps (as it may have only been the .android_secure folder that was toast), but it worked.
Hello guys I'm new, but have been looking at the forums for over a year. My problem is when I flash the newest liquid ics mr3, my stock camera always force closes, and sometimes it will work but the front camera will take pics upside down, also when I try to use camera zoom fx the picture will have distorted color lines at the top of the picture. Is there any fix to this. I'm tired of 2.3.7 lol. Thanks in advance!

Sounds like you didn't actually get the update downloaded.
The updated one can be found here:
http://www.mediafire.com/?tc4qkf7ut3z2bn6
Make sure before you install, you do a full wipe. Wipe data 3x, cache, and then dalvik.
Flash and enjoy.
And if the problem persists, run a fix permissions.
And if that still doesn't work out, let us know.

Well it's actually the rom, they haven't worked out video or the front camera. Mine force closes too.

Thanks bud, didn't know it was a known issue ^_^ I'm sure it will be fixed soon, liquid rocks! Oh, I've always wondered what smartassv under the cpu setting, is it a power saving mode or? I put it on demand. And are there any other kernels that work with this awesome rom? I've tried tiamats, simply didn't work, phone wouldn't boot up.

The issues we have with the camera are kernel related and probably won't be fixed until we get official source.

Verizon is the hold up and has been for a little while. It's not HTC's fault. They've done what they needed to.

More than likely to sell more phones though I won't say HTC is completely innocent. This OTA should have been out about a year ago.
As for the formatting part.. yes. format cache, data, and dalvik but they forgot to mention it never hurts to format system. A Factory reset does not touch the system partition as that's where the OS resides. If you don't format that as well then you're just flashing one rom over another leaving extra files that could either conflict with the rom or flat out cause Force Closes.
Doesn't matter which link I click on, XDA app will open my browser to the same tapatalk thread and won't connect. I don't even have tapatalk on my phone. Thought it may be a browser problem but they all go to this same link that won't open. Blew out XDA and reinstalled but didn't help. Any idea why its doing this?

Did you ever have Tapatalk installed? I did but uninstalled it but this just started happening. I was running BoneStock 3.4 which I really liked but nandroided back to 4.1.1 and now the links go where they're supposed to. I think it has to do with .api settings in the app but wouldn't know how or where to go to change them. I know this version is minus a couple of upgrades. I'll reflash Bones later and maybe it won't do it in the reflash.
