Hi.
I'm working on my girlfriends One S, which recently had:
Viper Rom 3.1
HBoot 2.15
Unlocked BL
Radio 1.15
After constantly getting random reboots, up to 20 times a day, I tried to S-OFF her device - without success - to update radio and kernel.
As far as I as know you need to be S-OFF to update kernel and radio, is it so?
Well I tried to restore her device from a NAND backup (which was using TrickDroid 9.0, or something), but now it is constantly rebooting while "system isn't responding", and it isn't asking for the PIN-code and not connecting to the mobile network. Basically it is stuck when fully booted. I can't go to settings to enable USB debugging or anything...
I am able to go to recovery and the bootloader and that is it..
Please help.. what do I need to do?

Hi! Yesterday I've decided to flash custom ROM with sense 4.0. Downgraded HBOOT to 0.98.0000, then performed S-OFF via Revolutionary, then ROOT, FULL WIPE and installed Fallout v.4.4.0, stock kernel 3.0.16. Device reboots itself very often when trying to use it, for example, it reboots while downloading apps in market. Also a problem is that switchers of WiFi and Mobile data are often become unavaliable when I try to switch it ON or OFF, only restart can help.
Also I tried this kernel http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=30507159
Device with it seems to be much faster and smoother, but it's not the way to fix reboots and data transfer togglers issues.
After all of this I installed one more ROM - Nik Project X, but the same problems annoying me!
I can't find reports about such problems on forume. Seems like there is problem with device, but I had never such reboots on stock Android 2.3.5.
Can anyone help me? Should I flash another radio, maybe, or what?
solved
Flashing new radio solved all my problems!
Hi!
First of all, this is my first Android phone and my first time flashing a custom ROM. However I used Hasoon2000's eminent
AIO toolkit, so everything went as expected.
The only issue is that I can't connect to wifi. It says it turns on, but it doesn't find any wireless networks.
I have tried to wipe and reflash several times, and I also redownloaded the ROM again to be sure. It just don't
find any networks. 3G is fine. After restore to Nandroid it works fine.
I must be missing something, since I haven't seen anyone else with this problem.
Unbranded S4
HBOOT: 2.15.0000
RADIO: 1.11.50.05.28
S-ON
TWRP 2.5.0.0
Any of you gurus have a clue?
flash boot.img
Hi
I was on Maximus, S-off, Unlocked, cid 1111111 and hboot 2.16
Then I flash with the new ruu 4.05.401.1
Before flashing I relocked and flash the stock recovery
The RUU process goes with no problem but after completion the bootloop begins, while sometimes a blackscreen with only a notification bar appears and sometimes a lock screen, but it reboots shortly after that.
I did try with RUU with both relock and unlock, no change.
Any suggestion ??
Same exact issue
Have you gotten anywhere with this? I have the same issue. I unlocked, got s-off with cid '11111111' , and tried a few different custom ROMs. I had problems with signal (voice and/or data) dropping. Tried various radio codes, but problem just got worse. I just want to go back to stock rom, where life is happy (I feel like Dozer in The Matrix. . . Just plug me back in and I don't care if the steak is not real. .. I don't *want* to know)!
Tried relocking and running RUU today, but having exact same issues as OP. I've tried 4 differnt RUUs I've found, all seem to complete successfully, then almost act like they will work, but then boot loop.
ANY SUGGESTIONS?
Thanks in advance!!!
Okay here's the deal, few days ago i bought a One S C2 version stucked in qhsusb_dload mode
after a sheer luck trying everything i could find on the web about this issue, i manage to get it out of that mode and even got lucky successfully unlocking the bootloader and installed twrp(still s-on though).
But after installing ViperC2 5.2.1, all apps will crash randomly on startup, for example ,blinkfeed,playstore,com.google.main.process etc2. sometimes it would even bootloop for a few times.
i dont know what happened, and i tried flashing the rom again, full wipe, fix permission..different kernels(Liberty V6 and V4,stock kernel with_wp disabled).
NOTE THAT THIS ALSO HAPPEN WHEN IT WAS ON STOCK ROM,after the phone first got out of qhsusb_dload mode, it booted into stock rom, and aps started crashing over and over again everytime.thats why i decided to unlock the bootloader and install a custom rom.
my hboot version is 3.01.000
unlocked s-on
One S C2 WWE ASIAN Version
Please help me anyone..thanks in advance guys..btw, i got another one s c2 fully working running the same ViperC2 5.2.1 perfectly, in case if i need to dump anything.
Hello, recently I got my HOX (AT&T version). Obviously, the first thing I did was rooting it (And yes, I'm pretty sure that I did it correctly, I rooted it, unlocked the bootloader, rooted it again, S-OFF it and updated the HBOOT to 2.14 in order to install CM 11). The first rom I installed was the official CM11 and the wifi issue started, I thought that it might have been a bug because it was a nightly (despite the fact that it was the latest nightly). I tried to fix it by installing another rom (PAC rom), and the issue was still there.
After searching for solutions, I tried everything I could: I did a factory reset (both in the ROM and in the recovery mode), I formatted the internal memory, I installed the latest nightly, the official release, I flashed the boot.img using fastboot, I erased the files in /data/wifi folder. But none of this solutions worked.
Here's exactly what happens: I flash the rom and the gapps, then I reboot the phone. Once it boots, I choose the language and I get the google account screen (The one that asks if you want to use an existing account or if you want to create a new account). Before it allows me to choose anything, it goes to another screen that says "To see available networks, turn your wifi on" for about 2 seconds, then it says "Turning wifi on" and nothing ever happens, no matter how many hours I wait, no matter how many times I reboot the phone, it always says the same thing.
I went back to JellyBean for a while and everything worked fine, now that I saw a thread in which an user posted a CM12 build. I did everything again and flashed the ROM, and I still got the same problem.
Please help.
PS: Sorry if I made a lot of grammar mistakes, English is not my main language.
Have you tried running an RUU?

I solved it, I was searching how to update the RUU and I read that some ROMs have mobile data/wifi issues if your Hboot wasn't at least 2.15, and I had 2.14.
Anyways, thanks for the help.
