HELP!! I'm confused on what to buy :/

I'm really thinking what case to buy for my boy....friend (not bf) hahaha since it's his b-day next month, I really need your suggestions guys. I was searching on Amazon yesterday, looking for a black/dark case for his S4. hmmm. I found these 2:

These two are really nice and both suits my friend's taste when it comes to cases and choice of color. But I can't afford if I but both "lol" The 1st link is nice, It's not pure black but what I like is the rubber which will really protect the sides of the phone and they offer free screen protector, the best part is that the case is only for $4.95 woooo!! The other case is lovely as well, it's pure black and the design is simple but clean. But my friend likes rubber ones like bumper, and the case is expensive $9.99. I'm sooo confused what to buy. Go with the 1st option then, two gifts in one! A bumper and a screen protector.
I like the Spigen one, but that's cause most of my cases has been from them, ranging from iPhone, Samsung, Sony, so I'm a tad biased.
Which ever you choose, I'm sure he'll appreciate it.

get the spigen slim armor its much nicer than the other two.
also that $9.99 isnt an original spigen. if you check their website its not listed there.
the spigen slim armor is less bulky and has better protection than the one you posted. he will be much happier with it. plus it comes with a free screen protector

If your boyfriend likes a bumper case, I advise you to choose the UAG case. It looks more stylish and cooler than these two examples you mentioned. but if only one of it to choose, then I suggest to grab spigen.

I bought the spigen slim armor case in gun metal and it is the absolute best case i have ever had
i did find a leather spigen case
i havent had any problems at all and to add i did buy their aluminum home bottons and i would say it is a well spent investment
i am not allowed to post links but google spigen and go to the s4 page and be shocked

I have this one and it's awesome. I would suggest doing what I did and taking fine sandpaper to the shiny black plastic. Makes it an awesome matte black instead

Look on Amazon. I did get one, but I wasn't happy with the finish, compared to the version shown in the thread (which I also have).

I would also love to see a replica Note 3 cover for the S4. I've looked on eBay, Amazon, and various other threads but haven't seen one that I really like. I have a blue leather pattern one on my S4 now, but to be honeset, it's rather ugly...:crying:

No way. Samsung will probably keep this design for the S5 or F series. However, I'm sure that somebody will launch a cover like Note 3's one day.

you can get a leather one from here, mine arrived today and although its quite expensive its a lot better than the one that amazon sells.

alot of cases you get out there can very cheap quality and not last long. id rather spend $20 on a good case then $10 on a case that will last a month

so anyone got any from ebay that is of good quality and is same as Note 3 ? There are alot of people selling now but don't know which one is worth buying. also that glossy sides turns me off.

Why waterproof you phone twice?
Happy with Spigen Slim Armor case

I didn't know the Galaxy S5 was Waterproof :silly:

The S5 is water resistant, i know many people like the Lifeproof case. I have a Defender now and like it but i wouldnt mine getting a Lifeproof to try it out. Im waiting until Amazon and BestBuy has them instock to order or go get.

Got in my replacement Recon CF from Element today and it is much better then the first one. :good:
Also ordered the Elite, must have lost my mind :silly:
Wonder if the Lifeproof will fit with the Zagg glass.

on lifeproof fb page they say they have no plans for s5 nuud. seems odd since nuud is available on every other device that fre is on. its also what differentiates them from otterbox and the like.

Isn't lifeproof a subsidiary company of otterbox. I heard they were just like how koodo mobile is the sister company of telus.

I think they are, which makes it even more strange because there isn't a huge difference between Otterbox preserver and lifeproof fre

If anyone gets this in please post pictures and a review. I would like to know and possibly see how well the screen protector works and also if it gives the oil slick effect. Thanks in advance.

Yeah I had this same exact case for my note 4 before I sold it and got the edge. Already pre-ordered mine for the edge. This case isn't too bulky or anything. Comes with a screen protector as well. Gonna try it with the back off, that looks wicked.

I just asked Santa for one as an early Christmas gift.

A lot of people who haven't gotten as UAG case look at the pictures and think that they are bulky, but they aren't.
I might get one for mine as well. That pic with the back off is interesting.. But I suspect it would allow just a little more dust into the phone or water if exposed than keeping the back in place.

No, pre-ordered the Maverick Case for my Note Edge. I don't like the wallet style cases.

Ugh I just got my metal frame one and I hate it. Its so tight it feels like your gonna break the phone every time you put it in or take it it. Its awful. It also affects signal slightly.

Well any metal frame one will have SOME signal loss but I didn't find anything noticeable. I will agree with the tight fit but the last thing you would want would be a loose case., How do your buttons feel? Mine are difficult to press with the case on. I LOVE the case otherwise.

The buttons are practically useless, there is no feel. I agree about the tightness but it is wayyy too tight. I really thought I was going to break my phone taking it out.

It's a really good case, the kind you can permanently keep on... But the buttons are crap.. You almost have to dig your nail into it for a press.
The case was almost impossible to remove. I needed pliers to pull the tpu out from under the bumper to free one of the corners, so the rest can come off.
