I found it weird that the phone shipped without Facebook installed. But after downloading and installing it, I was prompted to authorize HTC Sense. I did that, but I still cannot add it to BlinkFeed. If I check the box, it holds for a few seconds before unchecking itself.
Anyone else have the issue? I am running the semi-nightly betas from the Play Store.

I did.
However I did succeed in adding Facebook about an hour or so after this post. I had to uninstall Facebook completely, and then select the option to download it through BlinkFeed. It redirects to the Play Store and after installing again it worked as expected.
I know it sounds strange but had the same issue added out through the tv app and got it to work.

Like the title says: I have a T-mobile HTC One S and Tune-In Radio came installed on the device, but it's nowhere to be found. It's not in the app draw or in the Music app so I don't know how to turn the app on. Does anyone else see Tune-In in there app draw?? I'm puzzled.

Does it show up in the Car Panel? It should, but then again mine also shows up in App draw & Music app..
Yes it does show up in car mode. The only way I can open Tune-In is if I open it in the Market. Weird.
Same here. You can also add the widget, but seriously WTF?
Just download it and save yourself the worry, its free

You can't download it or uninstall it, you can only upgrade it in the market.

Only the Tmobile version seems to have this problem.
T-Mo made almost every single app a system app, so no uninstall for you non-rooted folk. On the other hand, if you're feeling lucky, go ahead and root that sucker and delete/freeze apps to your heart's content. Like, for example, the 10 or so T-Mobile apps. It's absurd how much crap they put on it.

Can all of the t-mobile apps be placed in to a folder and stashed away in to the 7th screen so that it wouldn't become bothersome?

You can disable the app by going to the manage apps menu. Once disabled it is hidden from the drawer too

This issue still exists after the OTA update. Are there any fixes short of installing Anycut and manually making a link?
It's located in the Music app, the one named Music not the google Play Music app... If you can't find Soundhound, it's in there too
Anyone know how to solve this problem? Obviously i cant reinstall all the roms and disable the extension that way.
Theyre all the same phone.
Have you tried going to your Google Play account (on a computer), looking at your devices, and removing the ones you no longer use? I know I had problems similar but not exactly like that, and removing unused devices helped. Along with renaming my actual one. Sorry if this didn't help, but it's my only guess

If you go to the Play Store website on a computer or in the browser of your device and log in. You just scroll down to bottom of the home page and lick on "My Orders & Devices".Then click on the Devices tap at the top of the page, unchecked the visibility, this will allow you to remove those un used devices.

Is there a way to make it that the HOX opens links to market apps or YouTube videos in those apps rather then the browser. Every time some sends me a YouTube video or link to an app it goes to the browser rather then the app.

Settings . Manage apps. Click on app that is default for handling YouTube links and click clear default.

That is HTCs way around the Apple patents. Flash a custom ROM and it will work the way it's supposed to.

Delete HTCLinkifyDispatcher with Titanium Backup. Then go into Manage Apps and clear the data on whatever browser you are using. Next time you click on a Play Store or YouTube link it will show the pop up asking how you want to open it.

That breaks other links, like text messaging and email.
Now that I think of it, there's actually a build.prop edit that solves this. I'll find it and post it when I get to my computer after work, unless someone else can dig it up before then.

Thank you. Ive been holding off on rooting my phone cause I had no need to, but if it allows me to edit the build.prop and allow for app linking then I will root right away.

Happened to me on my HD2 running ICS.......it was strange for me but the trick is......deinstall that fb completly.....reboot.....install newest from Google play.....then open up the app log in...if you still got that issue reboot again......or if that dont to the trick run the app and go inside the applications and kill it ( no deinstall just stop it)
I fixed it so on my device

Okay guys, so yesterday I started receiving a notification telling me that facebook has downloaded a new update and I should install it.
Only problem is that it's not updating inside of Google play, which I'm not sure but just kinda caught me off guard, and threw up some red flags in my head. I haven't actually accepted the update yet, but it literally shows right back up in my notifications if i clear it.
I have uploaded some screen shots as. I go threw each of the steps, which all looks normal for side loading apps. The very last picture is where I usually press cancel.
Anyone else getting this update? And is it safe, am I just being parionoid? Lol.
Thanks for any help.

I haven't gotten that one yet, but I did get an update for the People application a few days ago.
That definitely looks odd. I haven't gotten any notification yet. Apps shouldn't update that way.
I got that update notification also.
Weird beacuse never seen that kind of update.
It installed fine, but i really dont see any diff/
Is there a Facebook beta? That's the only time I've seen an app update like that, when it downloads new beta versions inside itself. But I've never seen FB do that.
I have no clue, but at least other are puzzled by it as well. I just trying to make sure it isn't malware or something along those lines. But that notification is getting mighty annoying lol

Uninstall the app, then install the official one from the Play store. That way you can be sure the app is legit.
you are not the only one getting this, as this has also been reported on here
It looks like something facebook is stating to do, but it might take a bit for everyone to start seeing it

This. It just feels more malicious. I wonder why they decided not using the Play Store was a good idea..

Because of this I uninstalled the Facebook app. It just started downloading the update without me initiating anything.
Totally not cool.
