GimmeABreak is a Rom I thought up originally for the DHD a while ago, but 5 months and 1 DHD later I've brung it back for another run, the correct path this time! So enjoy!

WHAT YOU NEED:
HTC Desire HD
Custom recovery
A brain
KNOWN ISSUES:
- None as of now.
HOW TO FLASH:
Download the latest version and place it on your SD card
Boot your phone into recovery mode
Do a Full Wipe (recommended)
Browse to the location of the ROM
Flash ROM
Remember to reflash boot.img via fastboot if you are HTCDev unlocked.
Reboot and enjoy!

nothing, it was a line from fly-on to set the permissions for a conf...which doesn't exist Some of the mods I added were kinda sorta last minute.....and or resort:laugh:

for now, this rom is just stock cm(theme and tweaked), I will add small functions/mods here and there, but I'm working on the whole "daily use" experience - its the big picture
EDIT: But remember, GMAB has always been a team effort, so suggestions are how I update

Welcome to ExileRom! The rom is based on the latest Samsung OTA and includes a bunch of mods and will eventually also include themes. This rom is split into two, ExileROM & ExileAddons. Why have we done this ? While one whole zip will make installation slightly simpler, a simple update will require to upload the whole ROM again. This way, when apps need to be updated, only the Addon Pack will need to be downloaded which saves the hassle of downloading the whole ROM again. This makes the updates easier for both the developer and the end user.

Instructions :
Put both ExileROM and ExileROM Addons on your internal/external SDCard
Reboot into recovery (CWM or TWRP)
Recommended : Wipe Data/Factory reset
Install ExileROM
Install ExileROM Addons and choose which files and kernel you want to install from the Aroma installer
Reboot System (First boot will take longer than usual, please be patient)

It's enough to have a little bit of patience...Leaving the link of the page opened...after 5-10 minutes it starts...Pratically leaving opened link you go in a sort of queue....

Regarding the kernels, personally I find Note2Core to be faster but drains more battery so if you want performance go for Note2Core and if you want more battery life go for Perseus.
Regarding the old apps I'm using the apps from the original Samsung Rom so I'm guessing they've been updated since then however I will keep them that way as it is impossible to keep up with all the updates and all it takes is a simple update from the play store. I will update them as soon as Samsung releases a new OTA update though
On another note, I'll upload the rom to Mediafire(to avoid the queues from the current hosting) tonight and post the new links tomorrow

- ADB Not Working
Toggle USB Debugging in Settings > Development Settings. Change to OFF and then ON. Then reconnect USB cable. It will prompt for secure adb access. Check remember this choice. DONE!
-Google Now opens unexpectedly on HTC Menu button
Go to Settings > Button & Kyes > Long Press Menu Key > Change to "None"
-Other fixes

Yea its possible.
Its UCCW with an addon that it has on the Play Store. And this is possible on all phones and all ROMs...

fix found in OP.. and i use it for logs.. just delete the apk /system/app/Smith.apk.. and its a major improvement from other sense 6 roms... But juat wait for IC tomorrow.
EDIT - With ModPak installed youll see a wonnkey battery charge animation, but thats a bug even our team hasnt fixed.
auto rotation is not working... this is too bad (fixed)

Do i need 2.22 for this? (and all the other things - s-off and supercid??)

yes, you need H.Boot 2.22 with New Partition Layout.. check this hboot http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2759131.. hope is helping you..

Steps
Make sure your device is unlocked or have s-off
Download ROM and put it on internal sdcard
Put device in bootloader mode (Power + Volume Down)
Enter Recovery and do wipe first

Yes, u r rite. Im waiting for vzn apps can be removed without killing carrier apps that are good to have. As i cant flash this rom, didn't touch them.. Will soon

FC's from gapps and media. Some of the tweaks don't work (Harmon Kardon, Xposed, GravityBox, Xblast). I did a clean flash, as always.
I'm having the same issues with gapps. Xposed did not install. One theme from the international thread work, ghost, the other caused system.ui fc. Tried multiple clean installs. Also couldn't get custom boot animation to work through flash. Guessing this Rom pulls the animation from a different folder than my zip installs to.

Yeah, HK for Verizon is a 2 step process. The 2 zips are on here somewhere. Everything else is a work in progress. The SD guys did this for me as a favor. It will take guys like you reporting stuff for it to get fixed cause they don't have the vzw phone so are working blind off my nandroid so expect some bumps.

I have HK enabled. I use it with all my other roms. As for the gapps fc, no, I am not installing another gapps package. It is still a great Rom, and will only get better. I am just reporting the issues I have personally run into so far.
