Hello...
It's about 3 days now that i have external sd card problems. it is not writable any more, only readable. I have the galaxy Note 10.1 N8000 with ARHD revolution 11.2 rom.Can anybody help me with this? I can't write anything on the extsdcard.
Can you write to the card if its in a PC or other device?

I just check it on my galaxy s3 and i can write and delete files. Maybe it needs format from my Note 10.1?
I forgot to say that if i put out from the Note and back in, then i can write and delete files but for a 1-2 minutes. After that, the problem still occur.

I think the problem start when i installed the revolution rom from the extsdcard and not the internal.
After 2 installs and the problem still persist i was suspicious and final i formated the extsdcard from recovery and thats it.

Is there a way to mount the external sdcard somewhere other than /mnt/extSdCard? Many programs are only referencing /sdcard, so I thought it might make sense for the external xard to be mounted somewhere under that point, maybe /sdcsrd/external?

Better write to the makers of that software to correct this bug.

And how?
I solved it by useing Directory Bind (here from XDA somewhere).
Alright, I installed Paranoid Android, flashed GAPPS.
And somehow, my SD card is never detected.
Its a Samsung 4gb SD card given to me when I bought the device.
I tried fixing permissions, reinserting, formatting, etc.
It is FAT32 and worked when I was on Gingerbread.
Also tried another SD card, was from Toshiba, no luck
Any ideas guys?
EDIT:Reflashed to stock, SD card works.
But I freaking hate Gingerbread...

Glad to hear it... I think your device didn't update properly the first time you tried it... sometimes we have to take the scenic route to get to where we need to be...

I has this problem and my solution was to pull the sdcard until phone is booting. After it shows the home screen insert your sdcard and you are done!
Sent from my GT-S7500 or laptop or PC or anything else(my toaster is bricked from an wrong kernel or custom rom so i need to buy a new one )
Can be any one of these reasons:
-when restoring setcpu using apps like titanium backup, don't restore data!
-uninstall Pimp My ROM
-Don't restore any apps with data using Titanium backup or such apps!
-If these don't work, try wiping dalvik cache in recovery n then reboot!

You should try formatting the SDcard from pc.
While formatting choose file system as FAT32 or select the default option.
thnx

If no solution is working then the problem is the sdcard itself or a hardware problem from phone. Go to Samsung Centre and they will repair it if you are on stock rom and unrooted and you have a valid warranty card.

Try reformatting your Sdcard and use a SD card adapter to access it on the PC.If your SD card can't be read on the PC,means your SD card might be dead

I'll be mush thankful if you guys tell me how to do it, because every time i make a backup for my ROM it directly goes to the internal phone storage which is can't take more than the backup files of the Rom and it stop since the internal memory stops responding...

Hi Vivek., thanks for the reply
and i found out a solution to it which to restore the phone to factory reset and made some minimal custom and it worked, but there is no option like External Storage on my recovery boot cwm... no matter, i faced another problem after i made the custom rom and when started to flash the custom rom once again it shows me error at the end of the process... i don't know why, i made everything right and accurate...
any suggestions??

The error says (copy /data file error - copy /data file error - copy /data file error).
and the process ends
Thanks for your replies
hi all,
i have a problem with my galaxy s4 mini, yesterday i copied a movie from my pc to my phone, it was 1.2 gig big and after i copied it there was no movie to be found in the folder where i put it in.
i got a message that my memory was full, so im missing 1.2 gig of my internal memory, how can i fix this?
probebly it will be solved by going back to factory setting but thats a last resort for me, im hoping sombody knows a solution whitout a hard reset.
Silly suggestion, but have you rebooted the phone? Sometimes the file indexers crash (or get disabled) and the files are there but won't show up.
Also, tried another file manager?

You can, if you format your phone
If you copied the file via MTP from your computer, it sometimes fails to refresh the media index.
Try to look at the copy destination with an app from your phone, i.e. a file explorer that does not hide hidden or temp files. It possible that the file is there and you can manually delete it.
