The screenshot shows settings which I'm able to encrypt my device. I was thinking of encrypting both the phone and SD card. But !
Can anyone tell me if there's any negative consequences of doing so? I've heard it is not reversible. And supposedly can slow the device. I highly appreciate any help. Thanks.

You can't revert it thats right, and if android ever stops working there is no way te recover your personal data.

If you have to ask, then don't encrypt.
Just asking for trouble, sooner or later, and there are ALWAYS security holes anyway.

it's the penalty you get for liking the 49ers....................j/k
do you have any custom roms installed? do you have any custom themes installed? is the wallpaper a live wallpaper?
if you've added anything to the phone i'd remove it piece by piece and reformat to factory, you might have corrupted a file. if you are already at factory and still encountering it, i'd take it to the verizon store and make them give you something that isn't faulty.

I made a backup with TWRP and checked system only, do I need to have data and boot checked also for the backup to work?
Um..
I really don't mean to be rude here. I really and truly don't.
But the reality is that you probably shouldn't be doing any of this without learning more about how Android works.
That's going to take some time, and patience, and will require that you do a significant amount of reading.
For your specific question, I'd suggest starting here.
I'd also have a look over here.
Thanks, I read both links, may practice with an old phone so I dont brick this one. I did accomplish the mission of getting root on it so I can bypass verizons damn hotspot block so mom can watch amazon video now and have wifi for her home.

could anyone start development for this device?

??
Might be you!

If there is something you need, you sound like the perfect guy for it.
I actually need to root this device ? so does anyone know how to?
Unlock bootloader get recovery you'll probably need to build that yourself would be a start.....
Nothing can be done without base software...
Unfortunately
The device is not bootloader unlocked in any way. Of course, it can be opened by dangerous or expensive ways such as boxes and test points. That's why we couldn't start improvements.

Bootloader can be unlocked from developer options.

Storage issues - Tablet

Hello, I have a question that I want to consult to see if anyone has any ideas or solutions. My cousin has one of the tablets that institutions give to public schools. It has 128Gb of memory, but its apps are only installed in a space apart from 3Gb, that is, limited. Does anyone know how to fix that?

You're closing yourself off to help if you don't tell us the exact name of the device model.
