Perfect Android is a redistribution of the Android Open Source Project and Google software code that I have lightly modified to make as a daily driver for myself that I'm sharing with the community. This project doesn't have and won't focus on adding a ton of features and mods but instead focus on stability, and reliability so yes basically this is a stock like rom but not just stock my only efforts will be to make it run better, and be more polished, and complete.

If you have an error or something pops up I ask that before you post about it please make sure that you are running the ROM as provided. I cannot troubleshoot anything that is related to using other kernels, mods, or themes.
This ROM is basically like a stock rom of jelly bean so there is not a need for screen shots ........
Always remember that XDA started out as a great place and will remain a great place as long as we are great to each other anything used in this ROM is available upon request and feel free to use this as a base rom for any other project my ROM is un-branded just give me some mention .......
WANT TO CUSTOMIZE THIS ROM READ THIS:

Google - I used their apps
AOSP - of course
Probably gonna add a changelog here
AOSP 4.2 ROM so quickly? That will be interesting
Can you have some screenshots?
yep its uploaded
it looks just like stock I built it to be at least as good as what you get from google if everything is working correctly that is when I will begin modifying but for now it looks like the stock ROM so I didn't think screenshots would be needed
first of all you have to give us changelog, then i'll flash it, because now i don't know exactly what are the differences between Your rom and stock, so is it worth flash it?

Its solely up to you guys if you want to flash it as this is an expensive hobby for me I'm just sharing what I do with the community so is it worth it, for me yeah, for you I really don't care, I hope I'm not coming off as an ass but I have to draw a line somewhere. I not making any claims with this ROM I just sharing it if you use it fine if not fine, I don't get into the whole screenshots large claims huge changelog thing I just post and share I also maintain this ROM for the Sprint Galaxy Nexus which it has done just fine so if you want you can do a search here and see what and where I come from .......
I'm very happy when see any new rom in N7 development, because nexus need fresh look from developers, so i was thinking that You could push some new tweaks into ours devices. Almost all roms here are just "cleaned" or "minimalistic" or "performanced" in real these rom are almost stock with the same user experience. So do not get angry when I want to know if there will be something more here...
Does it work with twrp?
After flash with twrp, I see the information is Android 4.2 JOP40C. I dont know whether it is flashed or not?
I will happily try your rom to see how it compares to CleanRom, give my feedback tomorrow

I'm not getting angry with you in fact I agree however, regardless of how you feel about those roms someone still put that effort into them. Honestly for me the N7 is a new device and before I go making claims that my ROM can start your car and end world hunger I want to make sure that it at least meets stock standards. AOSP has done a lot of work to somewhat remove google entries in their code so it has taken me a few days to re-build AOSP code to work correctly with G-APPS and other Google code I do NOT claim to be an over the top developer I just do this as a pastime I have certain things that I do not like and thats why I have started making my own ROMs so that I always get what I want. Now I can tell you this and I know this as a fact THIS IS NOT A WINZIP KITCHEN ROM IT IS BUILT FROM SOURCE it took hella work to get it up to a win zip ROM and thats where we're at so far lol. When I learn all the changes to the 4.2 coding I will start to add small feature to my ROM.

Can we start a list of sorts with Roms that work with the new bootloader?? so far i read that Dhacker29 has a few test builds of cm11 . i have one installed right now and it has some bugs but works and is faster than my hd has ever been . i can run this game i like and before it couldnt play without lagging now it runs crazy fast . anyway thank you Dhacker29 for the recovery and rom. i was reading another site and someone mentioned another dev that had a test build out for the new recovery but i cant for the life of me find or remember who it was. also how can i tell if a rom will work without trying to install it. i read that the kernel had to be 3.5 and newer or some shshhsh. anyway thanks in advance to anyone that responds
I second this. Was actually thinking of suggesting the same thing. Might help keep people from flashing the JB kernel Roms and asking what they did wrong. Least maybe a bit more.

Any stable builds? Maybe some that use stock and then tweak it out.
i think you can install the stock files and then root and use a root app manager to remove all the bloatware from your phone. there is even a thread that tells you all the apps you can get rid of without jacking anything up. here you can check it out

after root you can download xposed installer and then download one of the customizing modules and you can then change your icons in the status bar. nav bar, even alter the way your toast messages come in . anything you can think change the color of your wifi and 4g icons or change them to something entirely diff . here check that out too . you probably already know all this already but just in case.

This is what I did. I was already running stock KK before rooting/unlocking. Still running it now but I removed a lot of crap. I'm looking forward to at least a few stable ROMs to try out on this phone, but I'm cool with this for now.

PAC-man Alpha 1: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2683962&page=3 I read mention that this works but I've not tested it myself

Gummy rom tested on my xt925. Stuck at unlocked bootloader sign. I don't think xt925 is supported yet.
Yeah I don't know if any have xt925 support or not. Hopefully they will include them eventually.
Gummy Rom
I recently tried Gummy Rom for 3.4 kernel. It was pretty good, but had trouble with bluetooth freezing the phone and wifi dropout at times. It has great progress, and appreciate those who are working on it. :good:
I have installed dhacker's 4.4 cm build from 24/6. Happy to report that it boots - and so far, at least - works great. This is on an xt925! It's the first 4.4 bootloader rom other than moto that I have got to actually boot up on this phone.
I installed gummy and have been using the auto updater running nightlies right now I'm running 6-24 build . it seems like the the previous ver. had fixed the screen dimming issue but it seemed to come back on this ver. but rarely happens I haven't tied Bluetooth yet and the popping/static sound issue is still there but other than that I like the rom . thanks for

In droidrzr forums there is an Unofficial Omni Rom for kitkat bootloader..
btw, for xt925, dhacker says that we only need the new bootloader (maybe installing the leaked soak test from France we can use the newest roms)
Could multirom be ported to OPO users?
Would be so awesome for 64gb version !
Cheers
You must ask Tassadar, multirom creator, who will confirm (or not) if hardware is compatible
IF it is, we will have to wait for a compatible kernel
Also interested in seeing a Multirom port.
Would be interested as well. So @Tasssadar, can you help here?
EDIT: Just did a quick read on the wiki... Looks like we should be able to port it ourselves. Maybe I'll look into it when I find some time. But everyone is invited to do so as well!
EDIT2: See here: https://github.com/Tasssadar/multirom/wiki/Porting-MultiROM
As in FAQ:
Will you port MultiROM to device X?
No, probably. I won't port MultiROM to any device I don't own, because it is very difficult to provide the level of support I want to provide if I can't test things myself, as proven by the Nexus 4 port. I'll probably keep buying Nexus devices and keep porting MultiROM to those myself, but I can't buy every single device - I'm still a student, all my existing devices were bought using some kind of money grant or donations from users.
But, you can port it yourself, the wiki should give you at least some idea how to do that: https://github.com/Tasssadar/multirom/wiki/Porting-MultiROMtl;dr: get me the device or port and maintain it yourself.
I won't know how "hard" (what does that even mean?) it is to port MultiROM to X until I have the device in my hands, but it should be possible. I see you've already found the wiki, there's a bit of info about porting there. Kexec-hardboot patch will be the "hardest", since you need to know a bit about how linux boots on ARM devices. Or just blind guessing, that seems to work for some people too.

Thanks, luckily I know some things about this already. So shouldn't be that hard for me. Hardest thing will be to find time to actually do it. As this device don't have an sdcard, that part is already covered. I do however have to take a look at the ramdisk for that patch...

lol, I was just about to post about this. From what I remember the Devs for each of the other kernels just have to add in the multirom code in to their kernel for multirom support. Pretty easy from what I heard. Otherwise I reached out to the dev for multirom today to see if this will be coming to OPO.

Ok, so MultiROM works, TWRP works, kexec works BUT the boot menu is not visible (it's working but it shows completely black) still framebuffer problems. I can set the main ROM from TWRP and it gets booted correctly. So the last thing to fix is just the boot menu. It's completely usuable anyway from the recovery
sorry for the noob questions, i am not "inside" the multirom project...
will the installed roms share the same data partition...so you can switch between roms keeping everything else is installed on device?
No, this is not possible atm (if it's the same as for N5)
But the main advantage of multirom is for me: testing ROMs without loosing your daily driver. If you like the new rom, install your stuff and swap it to primary

I confirm the data partition cannot be shared
@KINGbabasula :
You should already tell the kernel dev to include the k-exec boot patch, so we won't have to wait ages to have a compatible Kernel

Sure. I tested mahdi and slim rom and they work perfectly sharing my kexec'd kernel. PA sadly still doesn't because they use cm11s kernel so I can't set shared kernel (in short it's impossible to use it until they merge kexec patch). Anyone who wants to merge it in their kernel it's here: https://github.com/KINGbabasula/and...mmit/3e93ccd23a37cc5fa3140fc935a43362a678de37 and to enable it add this in defconfig:

I will always use root however I understand some people's need for it to be rootless and well, let's be honest, it ain't hard to flash supersu right after flashing the rom. lol.
OTA is a nice lazy option for the USER but I've gathered from past posts in other threads that it's not always so easy for the dev since the OTA app is maintained/owned by another dev and sometimes has issues. Again, we're talking about a community here who is flashing custom roms on their devices. Manually downloading and flashing shouldn't be a major issue.
Having said all that, if i were to vote I'd say:
Built-in root: No
OTA: Yes (if it's not a headache)

hmmm.. well I managed to get booted by installing temasek's last build (12.9 i think, the one from jan) along with his kernel. It booted fine and made it into setup. I then rebooted to recovery and dirty flashed you 19.1. Got bootlooped and said fk it and re-flashed the kernel and got into 19.1! Now that is great and all, but super weird/inconsistent. Also, once I got everything set up I could not turn on wifi or bluetooth; is this a known issue with a fix? Also, are there recommended installation instructions or is there a recommended kernel for you build? Thanks in advance for your help and patience with my noobness! Again I am on htlespr!

Either change weather provider to another or customize your location. Sometimes yahoo weather isn't working well.
As for WiFi, check your dev options.

Just in case - have updated your Modem and Bootloader to the latest? All wireless related problems might be connected to it.

Hmm, still no luck eh? I tried helping ya last night in the other thread. I'm also a hltespr user. I'm still running OH1 baseband however OK2 is the latest. Also, as I told you last night, I'm using an older version of TWRP recovery (ver. 2.8.7) however the latest is 3.0.0.
What baseband are YOU running? Go to settings, "About phone", and look for "Baseband version" and let us know. =)

Sorry, I have different phone..
Might be the latest here

But I am far away from sure
Ahoi,
the guys from f(x)tec said they would send out some devices to developers of custom roms including lineage to help development of the rom. Did this already happen? Do lineage devs have the phone and did they start porting? Just curious if that happens at all. I'm hoping to put lineage on mine asap.
There are few developers who are making Lineage OS and Sailfish OS for Pro1. Chen showed some alpha build on Twitter previously. Also, devs has the source code since last month.

What I can confirm is that there are 2 senior developers has been working on Lineage OS since a while ago. And they've made some great progress. (All the credit goes to them)
They are awaiting for the official release and can move the porting project into the next stage I believe.
That's as far as I know, and again, it's a great work of Lineage community.
PS: When I tried to flash SFOS initial release onto Pro1 I need to flash a custom TWRP, which is I believe also from Lineage OS devs.

With the email today confirming those who are in the first batch, we're getting close! What I think would be really nice would be working TWRP so can make stock backup on day zero. And of course for root, los, or sfos...

As a member of the proto guys, I can assure you that the fastboot images will get released quickly. We have the shipping firmware, maybe there'll be simply a website for that. A working TWRP exists, but keep in mind system-as-root limitations.

Does backup work now? I'd heard the earliest port worked for flash but not backup.
Any chance you can share? I expect my phone any day now...

Backups require decryption support, but since it's a stock msm8998 platform you can expect that rather quickly. Sharing is what I'll leave to the original creators, we're informed about the shipment progress.

Don't suppose you have a link that could explain this to people who have no idea what you mean?
I think this has something to do with the fact that even as root in Android if you modify stuff in /system it doesn't stick after reboot. But I'm really only guessing and haven't bothered to read up on it yet.

System-as-root means that /system is mounted as /, but it also means that recovery is a part of boot image, so flashing it as the whole boot partition won't let you boot the system. There'll be a need for TWRP installer script.

Thanks for posting this. I've been unable to find any impressions as to the stability of these ROMs. Yes, they are testing roms, but IME there are testing roms and then there are testing roms.
Are these the former (unsupported but mostly stable) or the latter (you don't want any of your real data on it, will crash at random times and missing core functionality)?

It's been stable for some time now. I'll be posting a thread here in the next day or two and making lineage official in the next week or two.

Great to hear it TDM.
Cannot give you enough kudos after lurking in the lineageOS test forum thread and seeing all the work you have been doing.
I may even give AOKP a try once you've had a chance to look at it. Lineage is great but it's been years since the Halcyon days of having _multiple_ viable on-stock Androids!
