Well did you try ? The worst thing that can happen is that bootloader stays locked so TRY IT and see what happens.

i haven't tried for i am afraid it will brick my phone, this is a 2 day old phone so i dont want to risk it..if someone can confimr me that it is possible then i will do it.

Hey mizukage, where's the kazekage? (dunno if I spelt that right lol)
Just check the status mate, its not gonna brick your phone. You just dial in a certain code, and it'll tell you if your phone is allowed to be unlocked or not.
Edit: Go to dialer
> Type *#*#7378423#*#*
> Service info > Configuration
> Rooting status :
"Bootloader unlock allowed" - You can unlock your bootloader
"Bootloader unlock not allowed" - You cannot unlock your bootloader

Missing after unlocked

if so, don't force to unlock your phone, because it will end up hard brick!
If it says no, it's no. Nobody but Sony can change that. Fact.

Unlocking bootloader imposible

Well, hello to everyone. I bought Sony Xperia Z3 and bought code to unlock it for all sim cards and it works. When i visited Sony's site for unlocking bootloader i came across this post:
In your device, open the dialler and enter *#*#7378423#*#* to access the service menu.
Tap Service info > Configuration > Rooting Status. If Bootloader unlock allowed says Yes, then you can continue with the next step. If it says No, or if the status is missing, your device cannot be unlocked.
Well, my device cannot be unlocked because it says No..
so what can i do to unlock it?

What? Do you know what you are taking about..
Anyway, if the service menu says you cannot do it then it is impossible to unlock it.

For your device it is not allowed, so you can't unlock the bootloader.
/I've read some threads about trying to unlock the bl although service says "no" on other Devices like z Ultra:
It's not impossible to unlock the bl with official method if you know your device earlier had status allowed "yes".

its necessity if you want an aosp rom .....
Stock basted Roms on most Sony devices are pretty fast and solid in my opinion no need to really unlock unless your desperate for cm
So that's it? If the bootloader can't be unlocked officially, I'm stuck on Sony roms forever?
Wouldn't bother me so much but my Z3 has a horrible bug where it doesn't work with the bluetooth in my car without rebooting first every time. Was hoping to install CM12.
Could be a hardware fault the Bluetooth

It's not that I have any major issues with Sony roms, I'd just like to be able to flash other stuff in the future, should I want to.
I'm still going to keep the Z3, such a nice phone, nothing else really comes close to it for me yet. Maybe the M9, but I just got the Z3 for £260 from o2 and had it network unlocked, probably have been looking at least double that for the HTC.
You can still root the device and customize it. Tools like the XPosed framework are great at modifying specific parts of the ROM.
But to confirm: you're stuck. You can't unlock Sony's unlockable bootloader. I've heard of people trying to unlock it, I've never heard of a successful case.
Enjoy the phone, it's among the best available right now (imho).

Hi,
-First you can't change it to yes
-Second You can't root your device for the time being cause you need an unlocked bootloader
-Third there's no way to unlock a bootloader unless you have "Unlocked allow yes"
-Fourth be polite next time and say at minimum "Hello" please

I don't think so, we're talking about bootloader so it can f*cked up anytime I think it would be better to don't play with it if we're not sure.
This is just an advice, do what you want to do after that, I'm just giving my thought no need to follow it if you don't want to
What is the logic behind this?
I mean some devices are unlockable and some are not!
What this actually mean?
Well! Can i install custom recovery on locked bootloader?

Nope, you need to unlock the bootloader in order to flash anything.
So it simply means i can't flash any recovery, rom or root my device
That pretty much mean you can't do anything right now sorry bro
It means I've to sale out my device
And buy other brand like LG or HTC
Or exchange it against another unlockable one ?
I don't know, do as you like, sorry for you, just bad luck
http://bootloaderunlock.com/
I've found a video tutorial on YouTube with a link to download software to unlock the bootloader of devices those shows the status "Bootloader unlock allow:No"
Here is the video link
Beware a lot of fake videos are running through the Internet, I warn you, but as I said before do as you like.
If I were you I would not play with bootloader, either I change phone, or I wait for a locked bootloader tuto.

Okay now i decided to not to play with my z5 and change my device

Thanks but this is definitely my last device from sony
This ain't Sony who's responsible, this is your provider.
I'm French I have a Z5 (no prenium no compact)
From Bouygues Télécom, and it ain't locked I'm actually rooted running a custom Rom everything is fine.
This is between you and your luck, you and your provider

Can't unlock bootloader Xperia Z3

I want to install a custom ROM and recovery on my Z3 but I can't find a way to unlock the bootloader. Even with the FlashTool it doesn't seems to work. I tried downgrading to an earlier version but everytime my phone gets bricked unless I use the last version available.
Thanks
Go to dialer. Type *#*#7378423#*#*
In service menu navigate to service info, configuration, and you will see a line that says "bootloader unlock available: yes" or "no"
If it says no then you will not be able to unlock the bootloader as it is factory locked to this state.
If it says yes then follow the Sony guide to bootloader unlocking Z3. They will email you the unlock code and details of how to proceed.

Can't Unlock Bootloader

I tried using OEM unlock with my passcode (received from official Huawei website) using fastboot, but it responds failed everytime. Just recently, I realized that OEM unlock isn't actually there under Developer Options, so could that be causing it? My model number is LON-AL00, so I'm not sure if the bootloader is unlockable.

If you have AL00, so you should have Chinese ROM, cause it's stock. Chinese stock ROMs do not have option "oem unlock".
In this case you should do factory reset before unlock (something messed up and prevent unlock)
But if you have international ROM (rebranded by someone), you should turn option "oem unlock" on.

Thanks for the help. since Chinese stock ROMs don't have "OEM Unlock" option, how would a facotry reset help in this case? I.e. wouldn't the facotry reset still keep it as a Chinese stock ROM?

It does keep it as a Chinese stock rom, but it removes your Google account and that's probably what triggers FRP lock. You might even have to remove pin/fingerprint as well.

Mines 15 digits too. But it's not imei you use, you use imei to request the unlock code.

You won't see that option, it doesn't exist in the chinese ROM. What I mean is that FRP prevents you from unlocking bootloader. If you've added a Google account / pin / fingerprint you need to factory reset from recovery before trying to to unlock bootloader.

Then I'm stumped. Try contacting Huawei? You might receive an answer. Probably best to just call them. I've tried with emails 3 times, though it was for the kernel source so it might be why they never replied.

Thanks, I'll try that. The last time I contacted Huawei about why OEM unlock was missing, they told me they won't assist me in any bootloader-unlocking process. Hopefully I can get the correct code this time.

I struggled for a few days until someone suggested this solution to me. I worked instantly. Don't ask me why.
I suppose you can enable Find my Phone after unlock but I didn't do that.
Anyways, a little update: I've managed to unlock the bootloader. The actual code I used wasn't from the Huawei, but DC Unlocker instead. The strange part of this is that the DC code was 16 numerical digits, whereas the code Huawei provided me had a mixture of both numbers and alphebets. Hope this helps anyone who encounters this issue in the future!
