Just came back from picking up mine. Fast as heck. Loving it so far. Hope we can get S-Off on this one. I tried HTC Dev Unlock in case Verizon ha d not covered that yet but it looks like they did
Thinking of dumping my S4 and getting this since they can't seem to unlock the Bootloader...

Yea I hated sprint man. With all the new changes I jumped ship and got a the nexus. Love it.

probably at the next ice age you'll see a release on CDMA
More likely to see a S2 1st, rather than a S on Sprint ...
Looks like there will be one.

CDMA is primitive...I don't know how it exists with GSM available
There is one now.

This one might as well have been called the S2 - I don't believe the S had any support for 4G like the S 4G does, no?

Hey everyone, I recently traded my Galaxy Nexus for the GS3 and normally, I get right down to the rooting/unlocking/flashing process, however one thing has been holding me back. The gentleman that I traded my device with worked directly for Samsung and said that the GSIII that he was giving to me, was in fact a development testing device only given out to employees. I was wondering if there is a way to verify this as I know that this could be a potential gateway to future discoveries if this is in fact the case. If any of you have thoughts on this then please share. I've been itching to scratch this flashing bug of mine -_-
Could you post a screen shot of your device "about section"

This is what a test phone from HTC looks like.
If this person's claims are true, you should go to the IRC and chat with the devs there.
They could possibly find useful information before you get to using your device as normal- again, assuming this is true.
Yeah I think I'll do that. Will keep you guys posted if anything interesting comes from this

Not to my knowledge. I have been using it on my SR and my Nexus 7 from the day it was released, with no issues. What worked for me was to manually unsubscribe from all threads that were subscribed to from the old app, clear app data and cache, and then re-add all subs. Not a single issue since then.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I actually hate how much it lags. Also, if I remember it correctly, there's no way to view your posts. And when you visit a thread you'd visited before, it takes you to the first page again, which is very annoying. Not sure if this was even tested in the first place.
To view your posts, back up to the left menu, and choose "particiapted". As for the way it opens a previously viewed thread, you can go to settings and choose whether you want it to open at the beginning, go to the first unread post, or to the newest post.

It's just stupid that, instead of simply updating the current version, they release it as an entirely different app and make you pay for it again. I'm sticking with Tapatalk 2 until it dies.

There aren't even any phones out now or upcoming that excite me as much as the maxx... And it came out last August...
Though once the stock Moto X features get odexed into CyanogenMod I would very seriously consider flashing it on my droid maxx to get rid of all of the Verizon bloat... I had most of it frozen with titanium backup but still apps like Amazon still run in the background... And I learned a long time ago not to uninstall odexed apps
And I like how close to stock cm11 is with supersu and theming integrated with the ROM
Never going back to a smaller battery'd smartphone.

Just ordered S5 today. Coming from S4, before that the S3.
Im coming from my nexus s 4g. My family bought it since it was only $30 at the time. It was a great first phone and had that pure android experience. I ended up despising it for its awful specs. At the end of our contract I knew inwas gonna get a fast phone. I wanted amasung again, so I was tied between the note 3 and gs5. I ended going with the gs5 since it was cheaper and newer.
