Different LED notification for Missed Call & Voicemail? - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Like the title says, does anybody know if it is possible to have different LED notifications for Missed Calls & Voicmail Messages? I was looking into Lightflow before, but was planning to donate to the Gravitybox dev anyway and noticed he has added light control to Gravitybox in donation package, so I went ahead and donated. The feature appears to be very nice and easy to configure.
I currenly have:
Facebook Notifications: Blue LED
SMS/WhatsApp Notifications (via Disa): White LED
I was wanting to have:
Missed Call: Green LED
Voicemail: Red LED
However, this is set per application. I have set green LED color for the Android phone app. However, I believe Voicemail must be part of that app as well. Anybody know if this is the case? Thanks for any insight.

You might need a custom ROM. I don't know if Xposed can do it.

I use Lightflow for this and it works very well. Its extremely customizable.

You can also do this on the Dirty Unicron's ROM

XenonHD rom has those customizations built in

If you use a 3rd party messaging app like goSMS, then yes. I'm not sure about facebook, but there are other apps like liteflow that can help with LED notifications.
Just as an FYI though, nothing seems to be able to control the GS3 LED properly yet. Colors seemed to be reversed, no blinking, ect... I have changed mine though, using goSMS I have a red notification for new txt messages, using k9 I have a green notification for mail, ect... You may just have to mess with the colors to get the one you really want.
i tried using lightflow but when their was a black screen their would be a green led on all the time.

[Q] Red Notification Light?

hi all, im currently using the cm10.1 rom for my one x. at the settings, when i test out the notification light (which is green), there was no problem. however when i receive a whatsapp message, my notification light is flashing red. on certain occasions (im not sure when) though, it may appear to be green. does anyone else have the same problem or a resolve?
*edit*
sorry it's actually orange light. but my settings are green!
It never seems to really work for me. I think the custom colors are for specific phones. I use yahoo mail and it is red, but SMS and other things are green. However missed calls are red. I think you can make all notifications green.

[Q] N5 Notification light colours

Hi all,
Noticed a white pulsing light on my n5 earlier.... Then I received a message via Skype and I swear it pulsed blue....
Can anyone confirm we have different colours and/or how to customise them.
Cheers!!

I think it'll be white by default. Some apps will have LED notification support built in with the ability to choose their own colour. The Lightflow app will give you more control over it.

[Q] At what all purposes does the LED notification light up by default.?

I tried out light flow but didnt like it.!!

What.!!
I meant that when does the led light up by default??

Basically he wants to know what notifications the led lights up for, by default? As in before any customizing, etc. What does the led notification light up for on stock?
I am curious about this as well. I've watched and watched for the light and it didn't come on for anything until I installed light flow, lol. So I am curious

The light comes on so long as you have it enabled in settings.
It also lights up in the color reflective to the app, usually..
For Hangouts, it's white.
Facebook, blue. Facebook messenger, green. Snapchat, Yellow. Etc.

Ticking 'Notification light' under 'Settings -> Display' is the requisite for your LED to work at all. As soon as you disable this no app should be able to trigger the LED signal again.
I suppose that the notification itself is not handled by the system because it doesn't appear for every notification. It's more like every app can take advantage of it. I don't know every app which is capable of using the LED - just some of them; but they have already been mentioned in this thread. Some apps don't support the LED notification light, some do and even let you customize its color.
If you want an all-in-one solution to customize colours for different apps I can recommend "Light Flow". I bought the paid version and I'm totally satisfied. Just be sure that those two options are activated, else the app can't control the notification light.
-> Settings -> Security -> Notification access -> Light Flow activated
-> Settings -> Accessibility -> Light Flow -> On
I didn't like Facebook messenger to be green. I turned it blue. WhatsApp is green, SnapChat is yellow and so on... Works like a charm for me :3
Use LEDBlinker, I think it works better..

They both got lite versions so you can easily try and choose which one you like best. Would be great if there'd be an official solution from Google. A system app that is able to control the LED for every app But again: At this moment in time there are only apps in Play Store which can do this.

LED notifications

Anybody tried LightFlow or any other apps to control the notification LED?

They work if that's what you're asking. Light Flow and Light Manager are the two I tested. Definitely prefer LF of the two.
Light manager seems to work for sms but not email. Always on also does not show email notifications. Arg!

LightFlow is not working for me. Did you enable the LED in the display settings and did you enable or disable the workaround for Samsung?
I have been emailing the dev for light manager. in order to get it to work, you need to turn on the 5.1 workaround in the apps settings and you have to let it wake the screen for notifications. then the led colors work correctly. one thing that does break is you can not longer expand the gmail notifications in the notification pull down shade. he said he doesn't have an S7 yet to test on but is getting one.
LED Blinker Work correctly
I didn't install light manager yet. I'm just using signal for SMS and changing color of LED in its settings. inbox is blue and I guess missed calls would be the same blue default. Works for now. Also charging is red by default and green I think when charged...
LED Blinker Work
my g930f led notification does not work properly. i have no white its kinda pink ish and yellow is a orange with green??? does anyone else have this problem? i have tested it with Light Flow, Light Manager, Blinker and Led Tester

Yes LED Blinker works. I have tested under S7. And many customers told me, too.
Just enable workaround 5.1.1 in app settings (its needed for Android 6, too sadly).

Same here. (With Light Manager) So it seems to be a hardware/model related issue.

Needed screen on for me too (for Gmail at least, some apps worked okay - Handcent/Whatsapp). Which I didn't really want to use but it's better than nothing at this stage.
Ah, sorry, it's Light Manager I used - I was trying a few and got confused!
Ok then what now? Do we return it to samsung and ask for a good one or just live with it??

LED Blinker works, but has the same problem that all of the other LED notification programs have....The Gmail notification icon in the status bar will not auto clear after reading email. It must be cleared manually. Light Manager does the same thing, and according to the developer, it is an issue with Android 6.0

you have to disable the light/led in all apps you use, gmail doesnt have such option, use google inbox instead.

Thanks, but I use Google Apps, with multiple email accounts, so Google Inbox really doesn't work well for my use.
