Hello! Everyone.
I'm looking for Telstra stock rom for HTC Inspire 4G. I hard brick my phone previously while rooting and had no backup(s) via JTAK although my phone is alive again but I don't see network signal anymore. The last thing I remember I purchase this phone with Telstra rom
U fix it?

I have, they have a eur version which i loaded and still no change, even tried the asian version as some people were having problems with their phones losing their wi-fi and still no change. thats why i was looking for a copy of a US boot. all i did was update the boot loader and then use superoneclick it works fine and i have root and all just i get a error with my wifi and just tryin to fix it
Today I bought this AT&T HTC Inspire 4G phone, it was working fine & it was unlocked with gingerbird OS installed. Now its on the loop of android screen at the startup when i restarted my phone after doing the factory reset.
I tried few things which I found here like recovery boot but nothing worked.
need desperate help...
Never do a factory reset on a rooted device. If you have a card reader follow this guide to return to stock.
genes tool

Thanks alot for your response, now the fone is working fine but there is only one problem. When i make calls the phone internal speaker doesnot works & I have to turn external speakers in order to talk n listen. Phone speaker is completely dead!! any idea what to do??
Are you using a tmobile sim card?
Sent from my Inspire 4G using xda premium
No I have O2 sim card... sim is working fine as i am getting a recognised sim and can make or recieve calls but only problem is with the internal speakers...
If this can help u in tracing the problem!!
I am now getting :
Android vr. 2.3.3
HTC sense vr. 2.1
Baseband vr. 12.56.60.25U_26.10.04.03_M
Kernal vr. 2.6.35.10-gd2564fb.....
build nr. 2.47.502.7 CL93396 release-keys
Software nr. 2.47.502.7
People have had this issue with using sim cards other than att, specifically tmobile. That's why I asked. I would suggest now that you are s on to download the ruu for gingerbread from HTC for the inspire and run it to completely return the phone to factory condition. Its called the gingerbread rom update but it will wipe everything on the phone and restore every partition with what was on the phone out of the box. This will ensure that everything needed for the inspire to work properly is installed.

Ok but will I be then able to use any sim on my phone? or will it be sim locked?
& from this link:
http://www.htc.com/us/support/inspire-att/downloads/
1)HTC SYNC 3.0.5579 FOR HTC INSPIREā¢ 4G (AT&T) | 09.27.2011
2)HTC Inspireā¢ 4G for AT&T Gingerbread ROM Update | 08.08.2011
which file should I need to download? or download & install both files??
You shouldn't be sim unlocked now if you ran genes s on tool. That is probably your issue actually. If you want the sim unlock then I would suggest using advanced ace hack kit to root phone. Then you can install different custom roms. Just don't do anything to the phone like factory reset or wipe data outside of the custom recovery that you will have after rooting.

Ok. From there you could try rooting phone and using a custom rom to see if problem persists.

Hey guys, I'm a newbie on android phones. I just got an HTC Inspire 4G from AT&T and I want to unbrand it. I've been reading the forum and I have noticed that the Inspire 4G is the same phone as the Desire HD. Is it possible to switch the stock ROM from my Inspire 4G to the Desire HD stock rom? Will this unbrand my phone too?
My Phone:
HTC INSPIRE 4G AT&T
Andriod 2.3.3
HTC Sense V2.1
Base band 12.56.60.25u_26.10.04.03-m
Kernel 2.6.3.5.10-gd2564fv
build 2.47.502.7
software 2.47.502
Just get an inspire based stock ROM with bloat ware removed. what branding are you taking about? The att logo stuff is removed from pretty much every ROM here

The only way to unbrand the cell is to rooted and remove the bloatware or install a custom rom. Don't try to install a Rom that is not for your cell unless it is specified it will work, otherwise you will get stuck...

as far as i know if you S-OFF your device and supercid then you can install whatever rom you like
thanks for the reply.
i saw a thread before, though i cannot find it now, and based on that thread, there is a different way to flash roms to at&t sensation phones.
i am physically located in the philippines and i havent tried international phones ever since, i always use the local ones.

Hi there, I am T-Mobile sensation 4g. I can confirm that yes as long as you are S-off you can flash any Rom to your sensation you like. Just make sure you have the correct firmware for the Rom you are wanting to run. Rule of thumb is ICS roms run on android 3.32 or 3.33. Firmware. Very important. 3.33 is the newest firmware but most ics roms run on both . As long as your soff and have the correct firmware your good to go. I highly recommend you using 4ext recovery also. It's a easy to use recovery that most of us use . Some roms actually are not booting unless 4 ext is installed. It's extremely easy to use and you will love it. It makes flashing a breeze. Remember before you flash to always do a nandroid backup . This is for your protection. If you have an issue you can easily restore your backup. Hope this information has helped you some. Don't worry about T-Mobile. I enjoy any Rom I want whenever I want to flash without any issues. Best wishes !
sent from HTC sensation, soff, 3.33 firmware, viper Rom, sense 4.1, mugen battery. please press thanks if I helped in anyway.
thanks for that information.
if ever this would be my first htc unit. what are the things that i need to consider to prevent softbrick/hardbrick? or loosing imei? i appreciate using ext4 was already mentioned. i have a friend with galaxy s, he wiped ext4 and it cause him a bootloop and its very dificult to fix. as we tried to use odin and got no luck.

edit:
now i got my sensation,
its already using a custom rom and custom kernel. im checking if there is clockwork recovery app or not, it appears that there is none,
how can i check if it's s-off already, unlocked bootloader, with supercid?
hello please i am having 3G network problem on my htc one s..when i turn 3G on the signal goes off...please i really need help because i just the phone new...i cant get 3G service on my phone...thanks. It's the Telstra Htc One s
Yep same thing here. I am on T-Mobile but no 4g. More or less happened when I upgraded to the new Hboot 2.15. I have since downgraded with a RUU file. And installed newest venom Rom. But I can't connect faster than EDGE. I have read on the T-Mobile forums that people had this problem when upgrading to jellybean. It is a known problem, butan I wish there was a fix. It sucks.
So ?

Maybe I am missing something but the fix for "stuck on Edge" and not getting 4G is not there at the link you posted above.
to the OP of this thread - yes, this seems to be a known problem. I too lost my 4G when I upgraded from Stock (on my TMO HTC ONE S) to custom roms (4.1.2) - no matter what I did, I was never able to get 4g working. .. wish there was a fix for this but there isn't.....
Now.. I know that a different radio (not the one on my phone) gives you 4G - the trick is to find a flash for this particular radio and also (someone corrects me if i am wrong) but you gotta be S-OFF if you want to flash radio - I am not S-OFF so even if I find this radio (version : RADIO-1.11t.50.02.22) I won't be able to flash it... sucks...
Anyone knows / can post a link to where we can get this radio : RADIO-1.11t.50.02.22 ...
