All of my Dev Brothers,
Who All are maintaining any ROM or cooking ROMs for any MTK Chipset Based Devices. We all know that Cyanogen MOD ROM is still very far for almost all of the Media-Tek devices.
So what I have done is, I have ported few of the well known functions of Cyanogen Mod to my MT6577 device.
And particularly me and one of my dev brother @khan_frd2002, has thought to bring this to all MTK based devices.
We need co-operation of other Dev of all MTK Device.

Not sure what you want to accomplish with this post but...
Most of those "mods" are available via xposed framework + modules.
The owner mod is well known also, and it was on the xda news some time ago, its pretty easy to do it.
Why not, pull request those mods on the gravitbox git ? (Example)

Yes very true. But that's again a different application but we need this feature to be through settings and very few devs are interested in MTK. We A110 users were lucky that we got good developers like you. And so they are not able to get this kind of setting.
Even we know that dual sim with Cyanogen is not looking possible in recent future buy through mods it is possible to get CM features through our stock ROM with dual sim functions.

There are very few developers who knows how to build from sources. Now you can understand about this that there are many devices but only 4-5 dev who are building from sources.

I get you
CM is still far to be fully useful on MTK devices, and the licensing issues doesn't help also.
The MTK Gemini (dual Sim mtk feature) is a good example, its proprietary.
I agree that the best route right now in terms of customization is to add either some xposed modules, or work our ass## to add more features to an base ROM.
Those features you mention will probably only work on mt6577/89 I know for a fact that on the new mt6582 and probably on the new octa mt6592, some of the mods will brake, since the MTK code has changed an bit.
Let's see what we can do.

Once Again brother you stole my heart and words.
Yes That's true. But don't know its only me or you also feel that you can port this ROM to MT6582 & 6592 also.
Xposed modules make the ROM laggy so I never included it in any of my ROM and tried to bring these feature to all MTK devices to enjoy all CM features.
Frankly speaking I need your support as well for improving these features. So please help in this endeavors.

Hi Guys,
Need u guys help on proximity sensor, as i port roms everything work fine except proximity sensor not working perfectly which is the range for the sensor is less than 1cm,
The question is, how can i solve this issue as i tried using engineer mode and apps to calibrate but the result is failed. How and what did i need to patch to make it work properly.
Ive tried by patched phone.apk but when boot phone error prompt phone has stop and sim manager not working..

I had ported amoi n820 (4.2.2) and legoice canvas 4(4.2.1) to our canvas music.
Both the rom has single bug left, the camera.
1.fromt cam not working
2.back working with pink tint
3.autofocus not working
I have seen to fix these bugs, canvas 2 got a custom kernel. I don't know how to compile even though i got ubuntu and source with me.

I am the only dev for mt6577 iball andi 4.5h community... however we have more than 1000 users....
We also have got JB 4,2,2 ported... and we are living with front camera bug....
So we need custom kernel too.... i have very limited knowledge on linux which i used to use in my college days...
but no the basics and commands... so i am starting 3.4 custom kernel development based on wiko king source......
I hope we can start our work together for our own own devices.... and discuss the problems and solutions....

That would be great.
I got ubuntu and the source, but i think i should also have toolchain and sdk to compile and debug.
I don't understand if the source is of mt6577 then why the compiled kernel don't work on other mt6577.
I will download toolchain and sdk in few days.

I forgot to make backup when doing data repartition of my memory. Now the phone is bricked, though recovery still works but i cant install any other ROM from it. Tried stock and lewa. Help pls.

i have confugured my PC with Ubuntu 10.04 and also the required softwares... i have downloaded the toolchain also... got the cink king source... problem is ... we need the configure the source based on my phone specs ... but there is no tut or guide on that in net... i mean i didn't find any... and without that if i start compiling... it will be made for wiko king...
if u got any tut on that... share it... and how is urs going on for a88??

I have talked to the person who had developed kernel for canvas 2 and i think he will help us.

Alright. I will help you where ever you stuck. The changes initially behave to be made to config file that is under /mediate/config/mt65xx/autoconfig/kconfig. The name of the file is 'platform' and xx has to be replaced by your SoC build.
Rest try to modify and compile first without touching anything and that should be always your initial step. After then do some necessary modifications elsewhere in kernel files.

same issue wth my phone too .. though 1000s of users for lava iris 455 but still no developers except me.. i ported the jb 4.2.2 rom ...it booted but camera ddnt work...modified the kernal and cametq files and den camera was wrking fyn...but with pink tilt issue... i too have to work for my kernals issue ...

Credits to the guy from the forum 4pda.ru .... that modified the lib.

That's available for like 3 or 4 months now, all he did was hex editing that lib, mainly the last lines concerning camera type .
Also that lib, is available on my ZTE v970 4.2.2 Rom since he release it.

i have manually hex edited this lib to replace OV8825AF with FM50AF and BU64AF.
and i had always said (in 4.2.2 dev thread), if there is no kernel possible (for canvas music) then we need to edit framework files or patch the cam libs.
adding more to this, the fix you just posted do not fix af for canvas music (do not know about other mt6577)

Your file fixed the autofocus problem, but it made the front cam on my phone get no thumbnails(the one where you take a picture, then a few seconds a greed color appears on the screen). Is there a way to fix that?

do u guys have kernel sources etc. i am no kernel dev but without sources u can do nothing. i just know the basics of kernels.
and to be clear u guys want kernel eh? or rom? someone was asking for that in some previous post.

What Kernal Sources we need? Mmx A88 is Same As mmx A110 but a little bit difference.We only want 4.2 kernal so,that 4.2 roms can work without issued like front camera.
We also Want custom kernal For Swap Support
Please contact kernal developer and help Us.

hey devs, I've been searching for available and stable custom ROM for my micromax a88 canvas music since weeks but, unfortunately didn't found enough (maybe 3-4). But y'all know that there are many many custom ROMs available for canvas 2 and that device comes with the similer hardware (except the camera and maybe lil bit more). So my question is if I can flash the ROMs of canvas two in my device ?
if I face some problems then which patches can I use ? Can I use the patch of a ROM which is working fine in my device ? (stupid question I know) but please guys help me out.
Micromax not given kitkat update to turbo but have released nearly same configuration phone nitro with 4..4.2......... Custom roms for canvas turbo on xda are not fully functional as i tested all and all lack in performance. only difference in turbo and nitro are front flash and little difference in processor speed.. So please try to port nitro rom on turbo which would be fully functional.. I will be waiting for testing Thank you.

There is no device specific forum on xda.
But you can check this thread: Any custom rom for Micromax Nitro A310 ??????.

No i dont want roms for nitro .. I want rom for canvas turbo... N due to few varying hardware specification i cannot directly flash rom of nitro.. So i requesy senior developer to modify it for canvas turbo as near about 8 friends of mine having turbo want to have completely working kitkat n i think little modification in nitro stock rom will get us fully functional kitkat for turbo.. .
