Hello,
I am using XT-1032 for the last 20 days. Its running on Kitkat. I noticed last 3 days that the battery is draining fast. Previously after full charge I used to go to sleep and after 7 hours of sleep the battery remained 95%. But last 3 days the battery drops to 85% or 83% on idle. Is this normal or its draining too fast? please suggest. Thanks in advance.

Could be normal, could be not, it depends on your apps and wakelocks.
You can check in settings>battery if some app is using too much juice...
If you are rooted, you can install betterbatterystats to analyze your battery usage!

Have you used GPS at all. There is a bug which means 1.5% hr battery drain over and above normal after GPS is used. Intermittent problem though. Switch to battery saving location and reboot to fix it if that's your problem.
Most noticeable on airplane mode as usually hardly any drain happens until you hit this gps bug.

I am using the phone since 2.5 years. Recently I have updated to 6.0 and the screen time I am getting is hardly 2.5 hours. Earlier I used to get atleast 3.5 hours. But the doze works perfectly fine, hardly 2-3% battery drain over 6-7 hours overnight. But when I start using the phone it starts draining rapidly. Does this means the battery is fine and replacement is not required. Some app might be causing the battery drain?
If your battery is faulty then you note huge battery drain overnight and abnormal behaviours (e.g. from 80% to 20% in 10 minutes and back to 78% after a reboot).

Thanks. That means my battery seems fine only. Will try a fresh install again.
When you sleep, does your phone sleep, or does it stay up all night and crunch 1s and 0s? Rate this thread to express how you deem the speed at which the OnePlus 5's battery drains under standby conditions. A higher rating indicates that when the phone is not in use, the battery drains minimally.

I am not too pleased about idle battery drain.
Overnight, about 8h it consumes about 3%-5%. Sometimes more than 10%, if the device doesn't go in deep sleep for whatever reason..
If commute, it takes more battery (maybe sensors, switch to mobile data, etc).
About 20% in 9hours. wifi most of the time with about 1h hour on mobile data. And movement in pocket about 20-30mins.
My experience with idle drain has been good overall. Getting around 0.5% per hr
My idle drain is horrendous. I'm getting around 20% drain over night (7h sleep) with nothing enabled but WiFi. And that's with Greenify. I'm thinking of rooting and flashing the EX Kernel, but wanted to wait for an obviously outstanding major update before doing so.

Android System, Phone Services + Google Services, but only if WiFi/data is on. If they are off the battery life is perfect.

Battery was good until yesterday, 8hrs SOT circa. Suddenly battery starts draining and can I barely reach 2,30 SOT. Any idea? No apps showed in battery page, the only app I downloaded yesterday was Textra SMS (Beta), but it's very strange that it can drains so much.

For me Chrome was a big culprit for battery drain. Try to delete the cache and the storage of the app. You can as well disable and it and re enable it. That should be enough. Anyway, Chrome is a battery hog. I am thinking about switching to Opera or Firefox. Any recommendation for browsers?
I use Firefox with the add-on 'Dark Background and Light Text'. I have it set to turn the background of all pages to true black.
2% over night (7 hours) pretty pleased. But it was even better on OP3 when the drain over night was 0-1%
I'm on RR with no GAPPS and lost about 1.5% in about 8.5hrs of not being used (sleep + getting ready in the AM)
I have TASKER, and have set airplane mode to come on 8pm - 3am.
Currently getting roughly 2-3% drain in that "airplane mode" time

What the? Do you have gestures enabled (eg: double tap to wake)?
In my opinion it consumes too much.. one time i got about 3% drain in about 8-9h idle with wifi on and no commute.
That's why i hate android idle drain. A never-ending issue.
SOT only 34 mins, 1h mobile data, the rest on wifi.
I've disabled gestures, location history, no google fit, etc etc
Not bad here. About .3% per hour overnight. So about 2% overnight. That's on 4G as I rarely ever have my phone on WiFi. I also have email at to push (2 accounts) and I usually turn off the sync stuff in my Google account. Things like app data, calendar, contacts and the rest. I just sync when I make changes like adding a contract I then toggle the contacts on then off kind of thing. No need to let it sync all day and night for nothing imo.
I just have that drain when location is set to "high accuracy". When its set to "battery saving" everthing seems fine.
I don't know what's wrong with my device/apps. Several times now i had a standby drain in around 7 hours of 30%+. I didn't plug my phone in overnight because of Dash charging, when I went to bed, the battery was at 37%. The next morning I overslept massively and completely missed my shift because my battery died over night. This is with airplane mode on during 75% of the night. The highest drain in battery settings was displayed for "Android System" with around 12% or so, but that was with the last day counted in. I feel like the battery drain stats in settings are completely unreliable...
Except from that I get normal battery life during the day though, although during the first few days standby drain was higher than screen on drain...

Yeah man you need to download accubattery or something to monitor the drain. That's ridiculous. And yeah I've been kinda confused about the stock battery stats as well. It seems to tell you nothing.
I have noticed a lot more battery drain since the 911 update a few days ago. I was getting 7ish sot now I'm under 5hrs. I'll bet I'm not the only one who noticed it though. It'll be fixed don't worry.

I had AccuBattery installed at first but it didn't give me any meaningful insights so I uninstalled it a few weeks later.
I normally only get around 3 hours of SOT, but I'm not into mobile gaming or YouTube so that is normal...
I notice significant drain in idle after the 4.5.6 update last week. Android system seems to be the culprit, but not sure what's process under this is actually causing the problem.
All radios on, and 2 mail accounts syncing.
Mine seems to be topping the list of battery drain
Further update ,is this normal phone idle useage
From the day one when I bought this phone, I had Battery drain and I've been using all tips and trick. mostly tweaking setting and surprisingly yesterday night I had 0% battery drain with turning off Wifi.

Had cell signal all day
Don't get me wrong ,battery life is great so far today on 43% and had 3hrs 20 mins SOT,just strange to see phone idle at the top of the list
I'm having the same issue. Idle Phone drain definitely goes away when I turn on airplane mode but I haven't tried turning off WiFi yet. I transferred all of my settings and apps from a Pixel 2 XL that had no issues with power consumption.

Dispute this still getting great battery life with 5/6 hrs SOT
Is there any app that can help identify what is causing phone idle to drain the battery

Not impressive, I lose about 1% every 30 min without using the phone :/ (Exynos)
This is pretty disappointing it looses 10 - 15% of battery overnight doing absolutely nothing.
I am losing about 2%/hour doing absolutely nothing.
My S10e loses almost nothing if I turn things off.
Airplane overnight = less than 1 percent
with AOD it loses a bit, 4-5

Excuse me guys, but its not true that the phone does nothing. It communicates permanently with the antenna signals and the network, so its absolutely normal that it drains battery. Every phone drains battery in standby, even when they are on airplane mode (although in this mode the drainage is much much lower)
If you want yout phone to actually do nothing, you have to turn it off.

Yea... no. My two year old Oneplus 5t, with nearly 100 apps installed, only drops 3 - 6% overnight with 4g on.

I havent said anything about the draing % being too high or not. I said that it is not true that the phone does nothing while being in standby. Which is a fact.
Mine is draining around 12-15% overnight.
Very disappointed with the battery life of s10e
Any tweaks we can do?

ASCA? Is your phone with Verizon? How did you update? This battery drain is killing me too. The only positive is that it seems the battery drain is about the same while using the phone.

Mine is the international dual sim Exynos version. I just got an OTA update about 3 days ago. I was also having pretty bad standby battery drain. 15% in 8 hours. Last night it only dropped 4% in 8 hours, which is pretty amazing.

Thanks for the reply. I'm downloading it now. Hope it fixes mine. I know there are always bug when first launched. If things aren't straightened out within 6 months I'm going back to pixel once the 4 comes out.
I don't believe it helped. Still losing a good but while in standby with aod off

When it lost 4% in 8 hours, did you have AOD/wifi/data/bluetooth on?
I'm on the ASCA update, but still have terrible standby drain on my Exynos S10e (3%/h).

AOD: OFF
Wifi: OFF
Data: ON all the time
Bluetooth: sometimes on sometimes off, I don't notice significant drain when it's on.
I literally had significant better battery life from one day to the next without doing anything. However I have had most of the useless apps disabled since day one, (Facebook, Bixby, Samsung stuff, etc.) I also have wifi and bluetooth scanning off. It is ON by default

You should also follow some of these settings

New firmware ASD5 is out, maybe this will fix some draining.
I found deep sleep solution.
My s10e exynos (april firmware) was able to sleep only 10% of time.
After fix it can sleep 95+% (CPU Spy)
8 hours = 5% battery.
Open file “system/build.prop”
write “wifi.supplicant_scan_interval=200”
save
reboot
fixed

Thank you. Deep sleep has increased to 50% from 5% on my device.
Hi all,
My phone drained 14 percent battery yesterday while idle for 9 hours. The interesting thing is when i add the mAh usages that i see in battery and performance tab it only adds up to 6 percent battery usage. ( i calculated and confirmed with time that 40 mah is aproximately 1% battery)
Also this morning i am seeing an unusual drain as well while the screen is on, it drained 5% but it should have draned only 3% because it says it drained 138 mAh.
Does anyone have any idea about this problem?
This also happened 2 weeks ago and the only thing common both days were, i charged my phone slower (charged using usb on the car) instead of using fast charging.
I also leave the screen shots that shows the battery usage.

yes of course but the battery drain I explained sometimes happens I actually think its a battery indicator bug. Because it shouldn't be draining this much battery because it doesn't show any unusual drain on battery information screen contradicting the percentage lost (14% battery was drained but according to battery information screen it should be 6%)
