Setting xposed modules can make your device NOT BOOTING. You can easily deavtivate the full xposed by flashing a zip via custom recovery. So you don't need a backup in most cases BUT you should only use the xposed framework in CASE you have a working custom recovery like CWM

I use xposed have not had any issues yet but that by no means means it don't happen. This game we play moding are devices comes with risk in every aspect and at almost every turn you could change the usability of your device in one moment. Be careful read all you can about your device your working with and when ready roll the dice. But remember there is no sure way to never run into trouble
Alright i installed it haha no problems. Still so oils like to be able to have a custom recovery.... Darn..... But really liking it. Best thing I've done to my phone since rooting!!!

Hello all,
I have already rooted my mobile. Can anyone please guide me as to how to remove the preinstalled apps from my mobile.
And no I don't want to install a custom Rom
Thanks for reading.
You can use Root Uninstaller or SystemApp Remover. But I recommend you to install custom ROM, our little device can do better than stock ROM. You haven't risk, you will always can get back to stock ROM(am I right?). Good luck .
You can use link2sd app for uninstalling system apps.

Yes you will be able to install any fonts.
For installing fonts you just had to be rooted, there isn't any limitation of which android version you are using, I myself able to install fonts from gingerbread to JB 4.2.2

Before messing up with something, go into recovery and choose backup, after backup is done, start messing up, if by chance you go into bootloop, then go into recovery again, and do a restore. Done!
thanks man
It's been successfully rooted with POOT.
It has also been rooted via CWM by Area51 Here for CWM and then Here for Root! I did find some ROM development going on at Area51 as well here. Area51's CWM does not appear to play nice with any phone rooted with Poot however so it's best to install CWM from Area51 first and then use their root method.

The root method used at A51 is out-of-date, and can't be updated. Therefore, you'll continuously receive an update notification and won't be able to stop it.

Not True! All you have to do is just not install the update when it boots you into CWM. This will be fixed when they complete the ROM they're working on. I don't get update reminders after accepting the first one and just not installing it once in recovery mode at the install screen!

You might want to wait for Area51 to complete their first ROM for the phone. Currently it has an annoying update that keeps trying to install over the rooted stock OS that will break root if you install it. Of course you can just keep clicking on accept and then selecting NO when you get to the install update screen in CWM like I do, but it's an annoyance.

Did you rename the backup? If it has spaces, it will cause that error.

copy it to your phone using the USB cable or download it to your phone. If you don't have access to your OS, push it to your phone with ADB. It's like any other file you would transfer to your phone.. And run it from TWRP or CWM recovery.

I personally haven't tried out 4.3 yet, but I'm not impressed by reports so far, that and it seems to be in it's early stages, like when 4.2 first came out it was full of bugs for a lot of phones.
Personally Magio R3 JB 4.22 and JMZ kernel have worked pretty much flawlessly for me. With a few extra tweaks and mods it does everything i could want it to and I do a lot with my phone. 4.3 is still buggy with a lot of apps, although app devs are updating quickly. And with all that said 4.4 may be around the corner.

Titanium Backup is your best bet for backup and restore of USER apps, restoring a "missing" system app to a new ROM is NOT a good idea, especially if the backup is from an odexed stock rom.
Your contacts are synced to your GMAIL account, so no need to backup, but if you want to have a copy, export to vcf format from contacts settings, manage contacts menu.
For SMS, i'd recommend either Super Backup : SMS & Contacts, or SMS Backup & Restore - both are available free from Play Store....
4.3 isn't that bad, better than 4.2.2, but poor in comparrison to kitkat 4.4.2 - sooo sweet!
Oh, I'd advise downloading deodexed ROMs

No, there is no 4.4 source available for the mini..... I run it on my Nexus 7 2013
The one mini should start receiving 4.4.2 sometime during February, but dates will vary by network..... As soon as someone gets the update and provides a system dump, we can start building ROM's.....

Try Xposed Framwork
Hi, to modify only icons you can install another launcher (nova, google launcher...).
If you want to modify also some parts of rom (icons, status bar, dialer, sms interface etc.) you have many possibility: costum rom (cyano or other), xposed framework, modifications via recovery etc. For all of them (except the first) you need root and a costum recovery.
I try to install twrp recovery and my phone always bricks and i end up spending a whole night rebooting flashing the stock usb drivers and **** cause the phone just doesnt even stay on a screen just goes black. Ive wanted the cynageon mod but i heard its not compatible with the D803(canada version) so it leaves me using like G2 exposed app which needs xposed framework but even then it doesnt wanna install the framework. Have you heard of this issue ?

Probably you bricked the device because the TWRP was not compatible with your model (i.e. it was for international version or other).
Recovery, kernel etc. are .img files that are specific for your phone model, if you overwrite one of them with a different/non correct version during flash you brick your phone. For LG, if you can enter in download mode, you can easily restore everything using LG Flash tool 2014 (you need also LG drivers for windows).
To obtain TWRP recovery you can see here (for 4.4.2):
droidviews.com/install-twrp-recovery-on-lg-g2-running-android-4-4-2-kitkat/
you have to download the correct version for your model...
Ive tried to install from the link but it honestly keeps saying "loki cant find something, cant let you flash" do you know how to resolve this issue? Any help would be helpful pls and thanks
