Rumors say that the official rom should be out by the end of March/start of April. But we should see pre-release versions little sooner

Since Samsung never released any 4.4 update to Tab 2, that would be hard. Unless someone ported the Galaxy Tab 4 ROM to Galaxy Tab 2, but that would be a real challenge.
Do you only want it for the new look or would you like to run the new 4.4 TouchWiz-based apks?

Just use Samsung Kies to update to update to 4.2.2 if you use TouchWiz and when it's updated then just google for root and you're done.
