Here is a nice, cheap screen protector I just found on eBay that ships from TX, USA:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/1x-LG-Nexus...782827?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item337dbba9eb
Looks pretty decent...
I am worried about the curved edges. My photon 4G had this issue with dry application screen protectors. Can you post a review when you get it installed so we all know if this is going to be an issue?
For the first time I think I am going to go naked. I have faith in Gorilla Glass 2. I will just stay away from sand.
sent from my perfect 32GB Nexus 7
EDIT: Didn't see that they charged another $3 for shipping on Amazon. Good deal OP!
3 pack for $2.95

Yeah, I'm really not sure about that. I don't know if I'll just wait for the Xtreme Guard screen protector, which is very high quality and cheap; its very similar to extreme guard. And this one is a wet application. So I hope it will be released soon.
why the heck aren't vendors selling the back too???!?!?!?!?!!
I hate wet-applied one...
but I also concern about the curved-edge screen...
Now has 10% off the $2.92 price! So now its only $2.62. This is the cheapest screen protector as of now!
Just ordered one thanks button hit

Just to point out, the OP link is 1x screen protector, the Amazon link is 3x screen protector.
So if you're getting the 3-pack, that's cheaper total cost per screen protector, at under $2 per protector.
why not use liquid armor?
put 3-4 coats of it and you're set(ive been using it on my gs2 for a while) does not get as oily as plastic screen protectors..nor does it scratch

Yeah, good point, but i don't think everyone wants to order 3 of them...Just finding a cheap one screen protector.
Alright, so, dumb question now: Why would I need a screen protector when the glass is Gorilla 2 and not supposed to get scratches and stuff like that?
Thanks

Gorilla glass is not scratches proof
Why take a risk if a SP is not so $

i dont think this is a wet application one...how can you tell? theres no liquid or solution to be put on in order for it to work, unless im getting my definition of wet application totally wrong
edit: i misread it. sorry about it. disregard this post
So you would get micro scratches, right?
For me personally that's a bad trade off when you might see that screen protector on the sides then.

Tempered glass screen covers seem like the best but are the even going to be any for this phone because of the curved screen?
This is what I want too. I want protection but I still want the slickness of glass. I don't see why the curves would prevent it. Perhaps it may not fit if the curves are slightly off.

Someone will make it eventually, but to me tempered glass covers for phones and tablets are a waste of money because a replacement screen is still cheaper, not to mention the fact that you are still putting another layer of glass on your phone.

Because of the way the screen is designed, you wouldn't be putting as much glass on as you would with any other phone, another layer of glass would make this phone feel like any other phone in terms of touch responsiveness.

Unfortunately because the nexus 4 digitizer is attached to the LCD panel I don't believe it will be replaceable that cheaply. As ifixit notes "The glass is fused to both the display and the display frame. So don't crack the glass unless you're good with a heat gun, or you're fond of replacing the glass, display, and frame together ($$$)"
my gf's SGII screen has a crack and they quote 218 bucks for the replacement screen... and that's on a old SGII!
now we have these new kind of screens so replacing a 200+ bucks on a screen? might as well just buy a new N4 while you're at it!
Not quite available yet, but Nexus 4 Ultra Shield Tempered Glas - Black
Can't wait for one of these to be released , I'll finally feel like my n4 is completely protected

For anyone looking at comparing the prices between a new screen and the glass protector, a new screen assembly cost $100 brand new. Id rather put a $30 investment on a screen protector than spend 3 times that because i was stupid.

Would love to see a Glas.t get released for these as my note has had one ever since they were released. Worth the money I felt for the protection.,

I agree man when I had my note (with the sgp glass) I got it jammed in my trunk, it was squished in between my car frame and the trunk door, when I finally got it out the only thing that was damaged was the tempered glass Haha it spider webbed and when I pealed it off no other damage

That looks nice alright, But my god... Clear screen protectors are sending most proximity sensors wild, I can't imagine the hell dark tint is going to rain upon it.

They've been making the same protector for the Galaxy Nexus, I think it is safe to say they've got it under control haha.

Just pre-ordered three, like I did for my GNex. One for the phone I have now, one for the phone I have on order as a spare (after selling the GNex), and a spare protector. ABSOLUTELY LOVED the Fantom on my GNex and had no problems whatsoever.
Very interesting concept. But what kind of protection can the phone gain from this protector?
The glass front is already scratch resistant. And if the phone drop, it's likely that both of the glasses will crack as it appears that the protective glass doesn't have the adhesive layer to hold the front glass together.
looks like a promising solution. btw any suggestion for liquid contamination? anything fantom-4/xgear can do for that?
Does the glass wrap around the slightly curved glass edges?
hope they make that clear spot for the notification LED a bit larger in the final product.
How do those things adhere to the screen underneath? It's reusable so probably not glue or sticky material
anyone know if its compatible with the bumper?!

I too would like to know this. I'm unable to tell from the description and photos. However, the photos make it appear to go over the glass where it curves down and I think it'd be terrible for it to leave a gap in there!

It actually is some sort of adhesive/glue. I had one for the Galaxy S III. I'm not sure what the adhesive is but if you got it a bit dirty, you could rinse it under water and let it dry and it would be sticky again. I removed mine and reapplied it just fine. The adhesive is under the black/white parts but not in the clear areas (i.e. on the actual screen itself).

It should definitely be compatible with the bumper. I have a bumper and the bumper in no way covers the glass screen, so you should be good here.

The idea is the same as a plastic screen protector (think Zagg, etc.) but you keep the glass feel. Some people (myself included) absolutely HATE wet-apply screen protectors and most of these modern phones with curved glass can't have full-screen dry-apply screen protectors, so this is the only way to have a screen protector cover the full screen without having the tackiness/stickiness that wet-apply screen protects result in. Ultimately, if you get a big ol' scratch across your screen, you'd much rather it be on this $30 protector than your phones actual screen. So a combination of scratch-protection + the "glass feel" is why you would buy this. Or if you want to have a white Nexus 4.
If, on the other hand, you like wet-apply screen protectors, then this probably isn't worth it for you.

Any of the threads should have more plenty of information about it, but I just installed the full body set from BestSkinsEver last night. The front skin does have cut outs for the proximity sensor AND front camera, and the rear skin has cutouts for the camera, camera light AND speaker port.

I highly recommend ZAGG. Cutouts fit perfect and the sides aren't so short that any case or bumper you put on the phone will eat into it and ruin the screen protector.
use none, live on the high road naked screen ftw

Here's my review thread.

I dislike wet-type screen protectors (well only used Zagg) and didnt like it at all.
Felt really plastic and left orange peel affect on the screen.
Spigen i have never went wrong with, but quite expensive for what it is.
Chinese generic stuff seems to be ok. I just use them and replace it every 1-2months since its so cheap
Although I know I might get some hate for this, I'm using the Invisible Shield from Zagg and I quite like it. Been using this protector for my past two phones.

I bought a Nillkin glass screen protector from taobao. It is smooth and easy to stick on screen. But it is not very well in anti-fingerprints.
Wow
Sweet, I didn't even know glass screen protectors exist.
I've discovered that pressing down on the center of the screen on my LG G Pro 2 will create pressure distortions on the screen itself so I'll definitely be getting one of these.
gooddddddddddddddddd

just search on ebay, many and cheap as USD2 for 3x
