Asking if i can install the nexus 7 firmware on a 7" chinese/ non-brand tab (KNC MD-711)
it runs on 4.0.4 ics, Allwinner A10 1.2Ghz single core processer with 512mb of ram. screen res: 800x480
Can this be done successfully? has anybody tried installing nexus 7 firmware on a third party 7" tab?

Please search berfore opening a new thread. The answer has been stated many time already. No you cant. Each firmware is made for the device.
No, because the fact that they have the same 7 inch factor doesn't mean they have the same internal components and each firmware is made for a specific device

If i m right gtab 7" and 10" use the same kernel "espresso" so it should be possible to use this on our gtab

Many Chinese based models, or rebranded models doesn't provide their Firmwares online. The best bet would be Google and find as much as info or go to their official website and search over there, or you can e-mail to them if they've provided an e-mail id. Other than these, I don't think its pretty much possible to get the firmwares to download.

so i bought a galaxy tab 2 7.0 p3113, and in the system info its only showing it has 768mb of ram instead of the 1gb it should have. is there something wrong with the tablet? or is the other 256mb being used for the GPU, and just wont be shown in the system info

thats completely normal as the rom uses the rest back in ics we only had abt 600 to 650 so jb is better in that way

Galaxy s4 Korea made august 2013 make (must be HDC S4)
5 inch touchscreen display
Runs on Android 4.2.2 jelly bean
1 GB of RAM
2 GB of ROM
5 MP rear camera with a flash and A front camera with AIR GESTURES AND EYE GESTURES

I TRIED DIFFERENT ROMs but none of them worked .. only 2 of them successfully loaded thru SP FLASH but both of them not giving any display ..only blank screen
