Theoretically you can use wget from the busybox tool. Practically I couldn't get it work, don't remember why. Right now if I need to upload a file to the device (and don't have the usb cable) I download it to my desktop pc, add extension .xxx and upload to my web-server. Then just download from G1 and rename. Does anybody know he easier way to do it?

I have the update for my android based head unit Sony xav-601BT. I'd like to get it open and get root access and maybe sideload some custom apks if its possible. The update is a bin file but it will not let me access it using 7Zip or mount it using Deamon tools so I'm thinking its encrypted or I'm trying to access it incorrectly. Any information at all would be greatly appreciated.
Ryan
I am facing some difficultys two with the .bin files . Altough it is in another app , still i cannot find an tool wich can open this file .
So far i tried , renaming it to other formats , obiously it did not work I tried adding an .cue file ( saw that on youtube ) and openning it true Deamen and UltraIso . Tried VoiceEditor but al that no avail . IS ther another way to crack this baby ?

purchased apps can be turned in to XAPs IF you have interop unlock, they must be paid for and installed from the marketplace
if your trying install paid for apps that you do not own then this isn't he place for you

If you installed the xap from Marketplace in proper way (like it should be installed) - you already have it extracted on your phone (see \\Applications\Install\....). If the phone is unlocked - just copy needed folder to PC and that's it. DRM and other scary JAFAs have nothing to do about it.

Hi guys . Can any of you who have received Lollipop extract the system dump for us ? It will aid developing and will make everyone happy
Thank You
There are loads of ways of getting this without anyone uploading it.
Just download it from any of the FTF's already shared, or use XperiaFirm or Flashtool to download it straight from the Sony servers yourself.

If I get a chance to upload it, but the common sense thing to do is for you to get ext2explore to work if you have already downloaded the FTF.
How are you converting the system.sin to system.ext4?

Download it using flashtool.
Look in the decrypted folder of the firmware folder, you will see a system.sin
Use flashtool to to dump it as a ext4 and then open it
That's all I did

for Repack files after edit to system.ext4 and after Then system.sin What I do?
You cannot edit and repacj into a ftf file. You need to use the prfcreator to create a prerooted flashable zip file to flash in recovery
