[SOLVED] MTK6589 GT-I9500 dead after failed flashing attempt. - Android General

screen remains completely blank, but i can access recovery.
doesn't have CWM recovery, only stock recovery -
Android system recovery <3e>
i know the rom is good because i have flashed this phone with it before.
however this time the flashing failed.
SP Flash Tool v3.1316.0.150
BROM ERROR : S_FT_DOWNLOAD_FAIL (4008)

so i managed to get CWM recovery onto the phone.
will try to unbrick it now.
Edit:
reflashed the stock recovery back,
and restored a backup i had from before,
then reflashed in sp flash tools, all done.

[Q] Lenovo s820 stuck in boot loop! Please help asap!

I'm using a lenovo s820, rooted, running stock rom and jb 4.2.1
I couldn't find any recovery like cwm or twrp for my phone and I ended up downloading a recovery that said it was a version of cwm for my phone from this app called mobileuncle mtk tools
The app flashed the recovery onto my phone and rebooted into recovery except that it didn't boot into recovery
Now it is stuck in a boot loop where it only shows the lenovo logo but does not boot
I've tried booting into recovery by holding "vol up+vol down+power" but it does the same thing
I tried booting into factory mode but it is in chinese and I cannot understand anything in it
I have a backup of my rom before flashing the recovery but it is stuck in the boot loop even after restoring the backup
I've also searched a lot and can't find a solution to my problem!
I've seen some solutions saying I should flash stock rom using flash tools but there's a big problem here. Flash Tools refuses to flash the stock rom onto my phone. I tried to do it while keeping the phone in meta mode but it wasn't happening.
I've attached the image of the factory mode menu
Please help asap! I can't use my phone at all and I'm panicking and I don't know what to do!!! :crying: :crying: :crying:
Update: I managed to restore clockworkmod recovery on my phone and I tried to restore the stock os from it but it says installation aborted and refuses to install the os :/

[Q] Stock OR Compatible ROM for chinese smartphone

Hello,
I have a chines smartphone named Alps AW880. It uses an MT6577 chipset. I was trying to instal CWM on it which failed because of the signature verification. I used SP flash tool and that worked fine but everytime the phone tries to boot into recovery, it turns black and restart. I tried this tens of times got frustrated and formatted whole flash I don't have my stock ROM or recovery and have no idea which custom recovery will work. The phone is still detected on SP flash tool and I'm able to flash recovery.img but it doesn't work. Now the phone is not turning on at all.
I need help please can this be unbricked?

sp flash BROM ERROR : S_FT_ENABLE_DRAM_FAIL (0xFC0) SP Flash Tool mtk6572

Hi there guys @ xda.
I need help with my mtk6572 phone which i bricked in a noob way.
I need help flashing it with SP Flash Tool which gives an error as described in title.
Here is how i bricked it.
Today i decided that i want to flash a custom recovery on my phone, so i did and it worked.
I experienced a bug on the recovery and decided i wanted to put the stoc recovery back.
I flashed it back and the recovery booted fine, wiped chache and did factory reset.
After i did that my phone got stuck on boot animation.
I then decided that it was a good idea to flash to complete stock rom back to my phone,
but chose the forma all + download option, so that the changes the custom recovery made
were deleted. Well, so i thought...
Right after the format i got an error that said that my firmware is not for my phone and failed.
Now if i try to format or download the stock rom (which i backed up from my device before flashing)
i get the error code in the title.
I tried uninstalling all the mtk drivers from my pc. When i connect my device it is picked up in device manager
as "unknown device", i then updated the drivers with mediatek preloader driver (and tried all the mtk drivers out there)
but the flash tool still gives the same error.
After i press the download button, and connect my phone, the bar at the bottom goes to 100%(red colour) then stays like that for 41 seconds.
Then it gives the error code and fails to flash.
I tried everything, from removing the battery, pressing vol+, vol-, power and all the combos in between, nothing.
If someone could help me unbrick my phone, i would be very greatfull.
P.S I have the stock rom backed up from my device .

Odin flash succeeds without error but device is not changed.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S Duos GT-S7562 which stopped working with no warning a few months ago. The device has stock Samsung firmware and has never been rooted.
On power-up the device hangs on the Samsung logo.
When a charger is attached the battery charge animation is frozen.
Both stock recovery and download mode are working.
Attempted a factory reset and clear cache through recovery mode. Both showed as successful. Still hangs at Samsung logo.
Attempted to flash official Samsung stock firmware through Odin3. Flash succeeds with no error but restart still hangs at Samsung logo.
Attempted to flash TWRP recovery through Odin3. Flash succeeds with no error but recovery mode still comes up as stock rather than custom.
Why would Odin3 report a successful TWRP recovery flash but the device still boots the stock recovery? I have another identical S7562 that I successfully flashed the same TWRP recovery and Samsung stock firmware using the same setup, Odin3, PC and USB cable. Both are unlocked devices. Disabling auto-restart in Odin3 and attempting to boot straight to recovery after flashing doesn't help.
I suspect that a JTAG recovery may be my only option but from what I've read it should only be attempted if stock recovery and download mode are *not* working. In my case both appear to be working. Would a JTAG recovery help in this case?
Could there be some sort of NAND memory failure that does not result in any error messages during an Odin3 flash?
Thank you for any help!
I guess JTAG is the only way. Sorry.

[Mediatek]SPFLASHTOOL bricked Tablet

Hello, i try to rescue my soft/hardbricked? Tablet. Its a Chuwi HiPad X with Android 10 (Mediatek 6771).
I got the original ROM from Chuwi.
I flashed the whole Phone with flashtool(also i´ve try to flash a patched magisk boot.img - after that i have bootloops, thats why ive tryd to Flash all to Stock). After the complet flash its black and does nothing. "Download OK" was showing up on flashtool.
Now i try since yesterday to flash it again but everytime i got the HASH mismatch error(the first Flash starts fine without . On WEB i found nothing to fix. ive try several methods etc :/....
Any Idea how the rescue the Tablet?
Reflash Stock ROM to get rid off of all modifications you applied so far.
That the Stock rom i flashe first. After sucessfull Flash all is Black. Flashtool recognize the phone but when i now want the Flash it the hash_mismatch error pops up everytime
(After flashed the patched magisk boot.img the phone not boot up...Still loop. Then i've tryd only Flash boot.img with sptool the same.. With fastboot Flash boot xxx.img still bootloop (original+patched both bootloops) and yeah, after Flash the whole original Software via spfladhtool the Tablet is no only Blackscreen and Shows nothing :/
