Hello to all Pipo Max M9 users and generaly Rockchip RK3188 processor users.
I tried so hard to find a way to root my Pipo Max M9 after the last upgrade firmware, from original Pipo support site, that was not rooted. Until now (even with the stock firmware) in every android device I had, I was making the root with "Unlock Root" software for windows with one click. At this time It was not possible to do the root via this software.
After a hard try I found the right and easy way to make my tablet be rooted without install other firmwares or custom roms as other solutions needed.
I post it at xda developers cause I trust it very much and it is the first place that I look to find solutions on my problems. I think that many users do the same.
The easiest and "clean" way is describing at:
blog .geekbuying . com / index.php/2013/03/14/how-to-root-rockchip-rk3188-quad-core-device-like-cube-u30gt-2-pipo-m9/#.Us_XzdJdUYs
(Delete the spaces. I done it that way cause I have not already post 10 posts to be accepted to present links)
Happy Rooting! :victory:
This work is not mine.
I re-posted here from Geek Gadgets Blog and from the post of Eric
All thanks to him that helped me too!
Hi there.
I want to port a kitkat based rom to my device. My device is a Genesis Gt-1440, A31 Allwinner board. I have the original rom with jelly bean and a similar one from device Colorfly e708 Q1 (kitkat).
This similar rom can boot my device, I flashed it using PhoenixSuit but the screen is screwed (different resolution and touchscreen doesn't work).
I tried to use the kitchen method to make a port, but it gives me an error. I found out that this error its because of the A31 board and the IMG file. So I've been looking for the Alwinner A31 kitchen tool made by Xlab, but every link is down... This tool was hosted on Github but not anymore. Can anybody help me? Thanks in advance.
Hello. A quick search came up with the links below. Best of luck.

I already tried those methods! None of them can extract the .IMG file of the base or the port ROM. They give me the same error as that kitchen method. They are not appropriate for the A31 allwinner roms... That's why I've been searching for the Alwinner kitchen. Without this I can't extract the .IMG and acess all necessary files. I really apreciate your help, but let's hope anybody else just had this problem before.
You can check the link below.

Dear Developers. I have q Bitel 8403 and it has the androd 2.3.6 version. I wolud like to update it to android 4.4 o 4.2 if that is possible. Please could somebody help me. No custom ROM/kernel support for Chinese devices you know (It's from Chinese OEM with crappy MTK chipset that stuck on JB or something like that without any Open source support)...However you can install recovery for it....Head to MTK thread on XDA....

Well, I can't help you with that. You have an incompatible kernel. You may however be able to flash TWRP.
There is a program that automagicly creates TWRP for your phone.
TWRP is basicly the same as cwm but TWRP has more features.
Here is the download: http://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=8089&task=get
And the official thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2798257
Tell me how it went!
Hi,
I have a phone called Celkon Millenia Q54+. [gsmarena : http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=7287&idPhone2=7301]
When I purchased the device company said it will be upgradable to Lollipop. but that update never came. Its been 5 months passed and no news. I have tried to find a suitable custom rom for this device.
Found few but those are meant for the chipset SC7731 and not sure how safe will be to install them.
So, if anybody can guide me it would be helpful.

Hello
This Forum is for new Members in finding their way on XDA in regards to development. It isn't for requesting roms.
