sorry, I don't know. I'm using the 4.0 stock rom and it runs well with that kernel.
battery dies a little faster than the CM 11 rom.

Instead of requesting things, you could get them done.
You have kernel compiling tutorials.
You (I assume), have a machine capable of running Linux.
You have an internet connection (evidently), so, you have access to kernel sources.
You have the commits for S2W here: https://github.com/cybojenix/android_kernel_htc_pico/commits/master
Then, why don't you make yourself a stock kernel with S2W, if you really want it?
Note: You here, refers to all those who want a stock kernel with S2W, but randomly turn up on this thread hoping someone else will do it. The fact is, no one will. You have to help yourselves.
Respects and regards,
<the person who doesn't care>.
P.S. Now that I've typed all this crap (which will (hopefully) guide you in the right direction), lemme give you some more info.
the himax8526a was never updated (i don't see a reason for it to be), except for once, by derefas to fix touch screen in sense 4.0, here: https://github.com/cybojenix/android_kernel_htc_pico/commit/45392ad98882a4c6f492dd17dc2579689d8053c4
so, s2w in stock kernel should be as easy as applying patches and building.
If you are too "lazy" to do that, the problem is with you. Not the community.

If you don't mind me asking, how is it that the 'UXCLF5' Kernel works with the AT&T 'Skyrocket' variant phones? I thought the Rogers & AT&T phones were slightly different, just as the international version's hardware is different. Correct me if I'm wrong!
This is all new to me as I'm just beginning to understand what's going on here, and I'm very interested in delving into custom ROM development.
Thank you sir

I don't think we'll see a changelog for this. I'm flashing it and will look for diffs, e.g., whether or not touch key lights stay on - obeying the phone's always on setting. Right now, only Mohan's kernel offers a fix for this.

In noob terms, It's a kernel that's insecure
Thank you for the kernel, sean, Nice work!

The I727UCLF5 kernels (both flavors) do not fix the touch keys always on issue.
Back to Mohan's Cymbaline 1.3.
Can someone conform that bootanimation are working. I can't make them work. I make ton of them and have knowlage how to but on unsecure or stock no go on bootanimation.
Sean, how difficult would it be to put certain working files from Kernels like CymBaline (or the source it was built from) and inject them into a kernel like the one in this thread? Basically fixing the issues that still exist in the skyrocket kernels. Would having the source code from the Cymbaline build, but not from the syrocket build be an opstical? I am just wondering if it could be done. TIA.
Yes and no. But It wouldnt be from ice source. Ics nor ics source Has been released, yet. Or well ..its complicated..
But soon ican assure you

BLN

Hi!
Is there a generalist way to get bln on any kernel? My question goes because not everyone and every developer likes to add it. For instance. I have 4.1.1 is there any zip I could always flash over any jb rom?
Thanks.

It depends on the rom. If it has BLN mod or not.
I think BLN must be inplemented in the kernel.
I don´t know any mod for flashing over a ROM that gives you BLN.

Either the rom has to have the BLN feature, or the kernel. If you're on STOCK 4.1.1 then you will need to flash either a kernel or a new rom with the feature. You will need to download the 'NS Tools' app and choose the settings to your liking.
Hope this helps!

A good kernel for CM10

So I just installed (unofficial) CyanogenMod 10, I'm wondering what's a good kernel to install along with this CFW.
Is sakindia123's Cranium Kernel good enough?
This is gb kernel it won't work with cm10, if you wait day or two, there will be released cm10 with kernel 3 which is something that shouldn't be missed, anyway, there are no cm10 kernels to choose from, so stick with what you have at the moment.

Well, I have no idea what kernel meant but I know that kernel control everything inside our phone, from brightness to phone call. Let just say that if our phone doesn't have kernel, probably its dead right now.
The difference of kernel 3.0.X, We don't know yet from the users side, but from the kernel it self, it will fix the most bug our phone has.
For the 3rd, same like above, we don't know yet but I'm sure it work on every CM9/10 ROMs. If you expect kernel 3.0 will work perfectly, nope it still has random crash and battery drain.

1. Kernel is the core of the OS, which mean it let the OS to control the Phone
2. Yes, due to JB rom base on android 4.1 and android 4.1 need kernel 3.x to work full function
So, we need the JB rom work good, we need kernel 3.x, i have a Galaxy W with kernel 3 CM9, it is hell alot faster.
edit, by the way, kernel 3 is not mean to fix the bugs. it is to let the new fuction functioning.

Kernel is actually the software which acts as an intermediate communicator b/w the phone's 'OS n Hardware'.. So possibly we might get from 3.0
full h/w acceleration
Speed imprvmnt
Finally since ics n later version's r based on kernel 3 there might be some performance improvements..
P.s: frm some linux form I came to know that, there is not much diff b/w kernel 2.6.* & 3.0.*... Linux jst change the no. system. From 2.6 they directly jumped to 3.0.. More info google

Yeah , and it even says so on the first line of the OP.
I think rohan made kernel that will work, just search and you will find

Correct. In Rohan's kernel thread a few pages back from the last page there is a test kernel that is compatible with CM10.1
Vanja's linaro kernel is also compatible.
Both can be found in the Original Android Development section.
