Wake up command is not working - Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Anybody know why I can not get the wake up command to work?
I tried Google voice commands, work fine 100% of the time, but on the lock screen try the wake up command.... and nothing happens.
The mic should be working see it on the top right?

Think it may have something to do with S-Voice? but I can find no S-Voice settings or App.

Try double tapping the HOME button, then going into the menu and then settings.

Was going to say, done a few Google searches before I found S-Voice turns on when you double click the home button
Then I found the the reason the voice command did not work is the command is "Hi Galaxy", really this is not as stupid as it sounds the lock screen says swipe to up lock or say "Wake-Up" command..... so I am shouting at the stupid thing "WAKE UP", the command is "Hi Galaxy" like I should know.

wake up on new call

Hello,
Is there an option to disable something like "wake up on new call". Because everytime I get a call my pocket pushes the aswer/ignore button, so I need somthing like a regkey to edit, that the call does come in, but the screen stays off until I hit the "on" button on top of the device.
Thanks!
It's a known issue but this will fix it:

id try either holding down the END Key and selecting Lock and see if that then turns it on with just a single tap on end key to lock. or go to settings, today, and on the items tab tick in the HTC Lock.

Make home button launch S Voice?

Is there a way to change the function of long pressing the Home button from launching Google Now to launching S Voice? I already tried All in One Gestures, but that didn't do the trick.
After installing Tasker and then long pressing the home button I was asked whether to use Google Now Launcher or Tasker to complete the action. You may be able to have Tasker then launch S-Voice or whatever app you'd like.
I was thinking of doing the same but instead executing the "OK Google" equivalent.
Great idea! Thank you
tasker walk througj on s6

Start google voice recognition with button press when screen locked - Android M

I want to start google voice recognition if I press a hardware button when the phone is connected to bluetooth and the phone is in my pocket. The button on my car directly calls the contact and I don't want that. I wanted it to start google voice recognition which then listens from the car bluetooth mic, but I couldn't find a way to change this default behaviour of the bluetooth key.
Anyway, then I tried to start google voice recognition after pressing the power button of the phone and after the display is on with tasker, but it also doesn't work if I don't completely pass the lock screen even if the device is unlocked (lock is disabled because of secure bluetooth connection). I tried everything I found including disabling the keyguard, different google now intents but I couldn't find any solution. Ok Google command works even if the screen is off, but I couldn't find a way to start the voice recognition manually even when the display is on and not locked (but on lock screen). How can I do that from the lock screen with the device unlocked, or if I can't, how can I pass the lock screen and go to the home screen? By unlocked I mean that the phone does not require any password/pin to unlock it, just sliding on the lock screen is enough.
So, no way to start google now voice recognition when on the lock screen?

Google Assistant/Ok Google while Screen Off, always need to activate twice?

So I swear when I first received the phone and I said 'Ok Google' while the screen was off I could continue on asking any question I wanted.
But now with 'Ok Google' with screen off, it will bring up the assistant page, but instead of the wavy dots a mic will pop up and I either have to press it or repeat 'Ok Google'
If my screen is already on 'Ok Google' has no issues.
Does anyone have any insight on this issue?
Also with pin lockscreen do I ALWAYS have to press enter/ok after typing in my pin...?
thanks!
I can wake and unlock device with "Ok Google." I can see the wavy dots. I can still ask a question soon after phone wakes. I can only ask one question then have to say "Ok Google" again to ask a second question.
Is your setup stock? Remember when it changed?

My phone is stock (no root, locked bootloader) and I have the same issue.
If the phone has been left unused for a while it will take two "OK Google" to wake it and start assistant. If it's just been used and I pop it into standby it will usually start the first time (but sometimes takes two attempts). Screen on works straight away.

Well I figured it out in my case. I have an app that affects the screen off thing and I confirmed it.
This app, Fingerprint Gestures, https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.superthomaslab.fingerprintgestures
is the culprit for me!
So with Fingerprint Gestures (FG) enabled and screen off
'Ok Google' screen comes on to assistant page, no wavy dots, but a mic shows up
'OK Google' 2nd time, wavy dots
FG off and screen off
'Ok Google' screen comes on to assitant page WITH wavy dots and i can do voice commands
So now i need to decide if I really want that screen off with FG haha
Good intel. Thanks.

Well, it's early days so far, but I had my voice language set to UK (as I am British), changing it back to the default (US) seems to have made it a ton more responsive.
Now it will pick up an OK google and unlock the phone consistently and from much further away than when set to UK. This is how I remember the phone being when I first booted it. Will report back once I've had longer to test with the language set to US.
