I have T-R42 V2.0 device and I have slow download speed over Wifi.
At start up WiFi download speed is about 7MBps, but after 1-2 minutes latter download speed drops to 0,5-06MBps and stays at his speed or lower. Upload speed is OK!!!
I have:
- excellent WiFi signal
- Wasser 1.2.5 Rom and 1080Kernel (same problem was on original ROM)
- Linksys router
- 15MB/15MB home connection
- tried to connect device on few different routers and connections and I get same result - slow DL speed
- more people have this problem.
One guy solved this problem on V1.0 device with "bin" - I'm not exactly sure what this means! Maybe driver modification????
Can you please help me solve my problem because at this point my device is useless.

Hi, when I download something with my PC/Nexus 5 I usually get download speeds of about 11mbits, but when I try to download files from the Play Store/the Browser on my OPO I have download speeds of ~2mbits... If I download for example 4 files at the same time with the browser it goes to 8mbit... It cant be the fault of the download server, because it gives me full download speed on my other devices...
Anyone who has encountered the same problems/who knows a fix?
Thanks, Tom.
same... Speed test on my one is just slow... I just got it today compared to other wifi or just data transfer seems slow
Change the TCP Congestion Algorithm on your phone, search on how to do it. My wifi speeds are perfectly fine, getting 80Mb/s+ on my wireless n router.
thought it was just me...
I had the same issue. You have to go to settings, WiFi and then click on advanced WiFi and uncheck WiFi Optimization.
Turned WiFi optimization off and back in business.
Now to figure out proper network settings. I find the phone not on 4g when it should be

Hi, I know the thread is old but my download speeds are slow with my OPO. And just with my OPO. (Iphone, Ipad, Former HTC One M8 works fine)
I realised it with the Facebook App and in the Google Play Store.
When I open the Store and go e.g. to games section, it shows me the games apps but not their pictures. If I turn off WiFi it works well.
Same in Facebook, I can read the comments but can't see the pictures. Again, turning off WiFi and using my mobile connection works fine.
I turned off the optimization, but it didn't help.
It increased the download speed (Speedtest App from Ookla) to 25 Mbits (from 12 with optimization) but the surfing problem remained the same..no pictures in Google Play Store e.g.
Im getting 40 Mbits with my Ipad 3 (without losing any) and 60 mbits with my Notebook.
I restartet the phone (shut down, wait 10 sec, turn on), turn off and on the wifi optimization, checked my WiFi-Channel with "WiFi Analyzer".
When i turned on the flightmode and then turned on only WifI, I got 55 Mbit download! My connection worked fine for a few minutes and went back to 12 Mbit (with optimization) and 25 Mbit (without optimization)
How can I fix this issue? Surfin with WiFi at home is not possible like that, even when I'm getting 25 Mbit as downloadspeed, which would be more then fine to surf on the phone..
Edit:
Im running the newest: 11.0-XNPH38R
Hey folks!
It's worth checking, take a look into Settings -> Performance -> per-app profiles. Make sure it's unticked.
With that option enabled I had maximum download/upload speed up to 5Mbps and it was driving me crazy, I was thinking of selling 1+. Anyway, disabling per-app profiles saved the day and download speed was as on N5.
Hope it helps.
Pavel
Hi
i have installed Slimkat 4.4 rom and i'm very satisfyied with it.

What would be you re advices to :
- help for a better diagnosis
- improve my wifi perf
thx for your help

I didn't see this issue with my 5113. It was rock steady wifi-wise. Are you sure it is related to the ROM and not some stray software conflict?

Hello all!
I have very slow apps entering on WIFI instead of 3g/4g/H or even Edge connection - here is all OK!!!
For example app "speedtest.net". It searching for the server about 1-2 minutes, but if i pull off the WIFI and 3g start working the app find the server very quickly!
The same situation is on another apps - "avito.ru", "4pda", "sberbank online" and many others and just on WIFI. The connection to the apps is very long.
OS:
MI4C 5.1.1 LMY47V 3/32
MIUI7 Global 6.3.7 Developers (the trouble is also on Stable 5.1.1 - 7.0.16)
modem: 2.6.c1-1120_1636_bc7d61d / core: 3.10.49
Router: ZTE F660. Standart config without any modifications.
From browser on PC and Phone everithing is OK! Downloading speed is correct from both devices.
Screenshots:
WAN: ttp://prntscr.com/aeq761
WLAN: ttp://prntscr.com/aeq7cu ttp://prntscr.com/aeq7vl ttp://prntscr.com/aeq834
No firewalls, no other modifications! All setting on AUTO and nothing changes. On IOS all works perfect.
My opinion: WIFI (router) works correct , Phone works correct on the mobile internet, but something is on WIFI, maybe I need patch for core or something other!
i tryed to change the channel of WIFI and many other manipulations, but no result.
Again, i have the same situation on the naked stock Official 7.0.16 without any apps on board! Only 2 app i have download and allmost 2min of connection!
Waiting for your replyes.
UPDATE:
Interesting thing: on Mi2s all is OK! And on MI4C can't find internal IP! Only external. Maybe this is the answer for question, experts?
MI2S:

The trouble only in MI4C!

** Need Help **
I'm using Phoenix OS for playing PUBG Mobile. But sometimes while playing the WIFI connection of phoenix os automatically gets disconnected. Then I have to reconnect it again. It's really disturbing -_- .
My router is fully okay. Cause I don't face this issue on my other OS. I don't know if this problem has any relation with my L speed installation.

You can try without LNET tweaks, maybe something make a problem.

My wifi is restarting after 3 seconds connected to a network. It started to happen today. I installed the "L Speed" app from Magisk yesterday. Any idea of how to solve this? I don't want to format everything because of my WearOS.

Well after all, run your OS for a while and let it disconnect 5-10times. Get the logcat then and attach here.

Hey there, i know this is a bit off but im here for almost the same problem. So i am using oneplus 3 android pie and i have only installed l speed recently. So before i installed this app my connection was stable but after i install this app i noticed instability in my connection. The following situation are some example :
1.When viewing whatsapp status it used to only take a few minutes before im able to see the status but after install it i need to wait for a long time. this shows that my phones connection are not focusing on whatsapp because when i try to download anything, the download will take a few seconds then the download will start downloading with a bit faster speed than usual so i know that my wifi is not the problem but its a problem with my phone.
2.Pubg mobile connection became really unstable because when i open the game to main screen it constantly says that server is not responding or rewuest timed out but at the same time when i download resources in the game it download as usual( i can see at my status bar on my phone the internet speed)this leads me to conclude that the L speed does make my phone download speed a bit better but in the cost of stabilty its making my phone connection not stable. I think that the tweak made my phone focus the internet on downloading the resources for the pubg but it made my phone not giving any internet or maybe if it give, only a little internet to the app itself to load the main screen.
For your jnformation, after i realised this problem, i reverted all the setting in the app then uninstalled the app and reboot but the connection instability still occurs so i think maybe there are some adjusment made by the app but not reverted back in my system. Oh and one more, i tried looking for the init.d folder incase i need to delete scripts but i can only see init folder and the init.d folder is no where to be found. And onemore for your info, when i installed the L speed i used the balance profile and in the LNET section, i only turned on the RIL tweak, tcp and also net speed+ and for the net buffer i occasionally change it between small, big and default.I hope somebody can help me resolve this problem. My only hope is that my internet connection on my OP3 returns tu its original state.
Hey Guys.
I got my pixel yesterday and it was already running the latest Android 11. I installed the October patch too.
The issue I am facing is, the wifi download speeds are poor.
For example speeds I see on speedtest dot net app :
On a 2.4ghz network
Download : ~20Mbps
Upload : ~60Mbps
On a 5ghz network
Download : ~25Mbps
Upload : ~100Mbps
I can confirm this is not an issue with my wifi because no other phones at home ( iphone SE and a samsung S10) face this issue. I get download speeds of 70 and 180Mbps on a 2.4ghz and 5ghz respectively
Rebooted router.
Rebooted pixel.
Restored pixel to factory defaults.
Tried with/without phone case.
I still have poor download speeds on pixel 4a.
Any suggestions or if anyone else facing the same issue?
The issue was with speedtest app. Downloaded other apps that show speeds correctly.

i typed speedtest dot net app into google and got the ookla one. i waded past pages of requests for location sharing and the like and eventually found the speed test page. I got 43.1/19.7 down/up on 2.4ghz, and 45.9/19.8 for 5ghz. no idea how you're getting such a fast upload speed! i guess that depends on your internet connection though. i'm on infinity 2 fibre in the uk which is 67Mbps max (up/down) if i remember correctly.

Interesting. Which app are you happy with? I'd like to try that to compare!
Yes, the speed wasn't reporting correctly on ookla's speed test app.
I tried another app called speedtest master lite.
This shows me same speeds as other devices.
I'm glad it was an issue with the app itself.
I use a 200Mbps fiber broadband.

Well....I'm glad you're happy but that app gives me repeated 15mbps download times; a third of what I'm seeing with the other app. And no way of choosing which server to use. I'm never sure how much to trust these apps. The only proper test would be to download something from a fast server; well seeded torrent site etc.
My choice is fast.com (Netflix property). Click through for additional details after the initial read. Useful and widely available.
This assumes you are using a reputable browser that itself is not a bottleneck or otherwise compromised.
I eschew speed test apps (including Ookla variants as most are advertising cesspools. Why mess with another app. ugh.
I'm not having speed issues.
No problems here . . please check the screen shot.
