Hi,
I have upgraded by Samsung Mini GT-S5570 with the KitkatUI V2.0 Android version 4.2.2 from this forum [http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2622069].
After installing everything seems to be fine except an issue with the WiFi Tether. When I click on the "Portable Wi-Fi hotspot" option it says "Turning On..." then the checkbox gets ticked but neither do I see any icon in the notification bar nor I find the set SSID broadcasting in other WiFi enabled devices. Is there a fix for the issue?
Please advice

Hi all,
I need to share my Internet connection from my HTC TyTn II with WM6.1 running WMWiFiRouter (which support the creation of adhoc wifi networks only, AFAIK) to my tablet iMiTo AM801 8" running Android Gingerbread 2.3.1.
I tried to substitute the wpa_supplicat file as indicated in several threads in this forum (thanks to exist!) after rooting my device, but none of them seems to work for me, and all of them break the connection also to non-adhoc wifi network, so I reverted to the original.
In fact, when turning WiFi ON the device becomes unresponsive and after some seconds a message appears saying "Sorry!, Application Settings (in process com.android.settings) is not responding", which I force to close.
Is there anyone that has been able to enable adhoc wifi on Android 2.3.1?
I hope so!
Thanks in advance for your help.
Any one?
Please!
I've tried searching around, but haven't been able to find any info on my current issue which is that haven't been able to bluetooth tether my TF101 to my phone properly.
Phone: Galaxy Nexus CM10.1 nightly
-Bluetooth tethering enabled and confirms "Sharing this phone's Internet connection to 1 device"
-Also tried a stock Galaxy Note; same result.
Tablet: Transformer TF101 CM10 nightly (20121105)
-Use for internet access checked.
-Devices paired and connected successfully but it says "No Internet Connection"
I was able to connect using Fox-fi and PDAnet combo, which works for Chrome, but not Facebook or Gmail and more. Notification drawer still says "No Internet Connection"
Anyone have any insight for me? Something obvious I missed somewhere?
Thanks in advance.
Fir tethering with bluetooth i use BlueVPN app, FB and GMAIL work, but i can't download app in market store.
Other big problem is that often the connection block and i have to restart app in my tablet.
Anyone have any luck tethering a Droid razr maxx hd?
I keep getting "Connected to Wi-Fi network (wifiname)" message,
It connects, after some random time, then again shows "Connected to Wi-Fi network (wifiname)".
Not using any battery saver program of any sort,
have set keep Wi-Fi on during sleep to Always.
Power saving mode is set to ON.
Wifi router is in the very same room.
It wasnt a problem when i had ICS, since i upgraded to JB this kept happening.
attached is the snapshot:
& Device is rooted.
All other devices @home do not have any such problem.
Any solution to this auto random on again off again Wi-Fi network problem??
I installed Nook HD+ emmc 05/12 edition and found the bluetooth tether option in bluetooth menu in settings.
I tried to set my samsung i605 as a bluetooth hotspot and let nook connects to it. samsung shows the connection is successful. and the bluetooth logo in android tray turns from gray to blue.
but I still cannot surf the net with my nook. the "no connection" error is shown in every app.

Mine seems to be working fine. Bluetooth on, WiFi off off phone and both turned on Nook. Speed test any same for each device. Galaxy S3 phone.
Yeah I am also unable to get Bluetooth tethering to work with my nook HD+ (with the 05/27 release of the emmc cm 10.1) and my Nexus 4( also running CM 10.1). Both connect to each other but the nook still thinks it has no internet connection.

You should not be starting threads in the development forum that are just bug reports. They should either be posted on the original developers thread or in the Q&A/Troubleshooting forum.
Sent from my Nook HD+ running CM10.1 on emmc.
I bought two Xperia C devices, with the original firmware there was no "Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot Settings" under "Tethering & Portable Hotspots" menu. I updated one of them to the last firmware 16.0.B.2.6 but still there's no "Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot Settings".
As you know if you dont access to the Wi-Fi hotsport setting you cannot change the define the Wi-Fi key and the wi-fi hotspot is totally unworkable.
Meanwhile the wi-fi hotspot is working well, when the data is on, you can turn it on and it's also been found by other devices like laptops or mobiles but as you dont have a wi-fi key you cannot use it.
