[Q] LG Optimus F6 - General Questions and Answers

Are there any ROM's for this phone, and if so how can I flash them?
I've been searching high and low for any, and haven't found anything.
I did read something about the boot loader being locked, and I don't really understand that very well.
Any help would be HIGHLY appreciated.
Thanks in advance

I've only found one rom for the optimus F6 (metro pcs) and have been searching for quite a while now. As far as the boot loader being locked, when I rooted the phone and installed a custom recovery I was able to flash the rom without running into any problems. I continue to look for compatible roms and am hopeful that one day in the NEAR future, rooted F6 user's can install cm11 on their devices.
The only rom I've found is the xperion rom which doesn't satisfy me.
If anyone has found any other roms for the Optimus F6, please let us know! Thanks in advance

Best custom rom for bell atrix.

Hey fellas,
I'm curious to know if there is a simple way to install a rom after rooting the device with the aroot batch file. I have the bell motorola atrix. Which is the best most stable out of all the roms available, and easiest to install. This without any worries of bricking the device. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Also, will it remove all the "bloatware" or does aroot do that?
Check this tutorial It look nice

LG Optimus Net Custom Recovery

Hi,
I've just bought this phone, givenmy LG Optimus one was stolen some months ago. Actually I'm really happy with it, but I'm seeing there is not a big community around this new phone. I actually obtained root permissions, and I'm looking for a custom recovery for it.
Actually, I think the O1 recoveries won't suit for this, so I'd be glad if someone could help me creating/contacting who can create it. It's a very important step to do in order to give this new device some bright life
Thanks,
Jst
i have a question, how were you able to root your optimus net? I'm desperate to root mine.

Where can I find just Kernels

Well, I just spent 6 hours trying to root my .629 droid global 2, I did it. I was wondering where can I get a list of kernels I can use with stock 2.3.4? OR can I even do this? Sorry I spent hours looking online for kernels and I couldn't find anything. I did own a optimus 1 and have some experience with this stuff but is it much different than going into recovery and flashing the kernel?
In fact if someone would be nice enough to convince me to get a rom, this would be much easier. but after looking into it, it seems ridiculously hard to put a rom on these things unless someone can tell me different? I'm looking for something like CM 7 because that was what I was used to on my LG O1. Unless the stock rom on this right now would get me better battery than the CM 7? Thank you in advance.
Nowhere.
There are no custom kernels.
The bootloader is locked and encrypted.
You cannot install a custom kernel.
There are custom ROMs though and they don't really need a lot of work to install.

isnt the bootloader bypassed by boostrapper/rom manager?
I was just about to install CM7 after reading your post and another member was saying it won't work because I'm on GSM and I need to flash to froyo and then to cm7?
if you need to band unlock http://forum.xda-developers.com/sho...d and Band unlock Droid 2 Global with 629 ROM
if you just need a rom that works well, with gsm
I'll add link http://rootzwiki.com/topic/8951-gsm-data-status-for-various-roms/

[Q] Root for Moto Razr V XT885

Hi all. I don't want to come off as a total noob, but I'm sorry if I do. I have a Motorola Razr V XT885 with Bell Mobility in Canada. I've searched the web for a way of rooting and unlocking the bootloader on my device and have found little to no help. I know this isn't a popular phone as it's only available in Canada and some parts of Asia, but is there a way to root and unlock the bootloader? From the sounds of things there isn't a Jellybean update coming any time soon and I would really like to flash a custom rom on this thing. Any help would be appreciated. thanks.

I figured out how to get custom recovery, you download Boot Menu Manager from the market it works perfect, I managed to boot up a XT910 ROM on it but lots of bugs as its not for our phone, just need a smart person to make us up a ROM
Worked for my XT885. Thanks

Can somebody guide me?

Hello guys.
I'm considering to buy this phone since it packs some great hardware, it looks great, it has a big battery and now has official CM support!
(I lost my Xperia T a couple of weeks ago so now I am looking for its replacement)
Given the various versions (Verizon, global, developer edition), I am wondering if somebody could show me which threads are related to rooting the European version (Razr HD), changing the recovery and installing CM?
Thanks a lot.
I have some experience installing custom software to my devices (LG Optimus One, LG Optimus 2X, HP Touchpad and Huawei Mediapad), but Motorola is not know to be very developer-friendly, so I would like to check how it works before I do buy the phone.
Thanks in advance.
This guide should help:
http://www.andromods.com/basic-how-...ootloader-motorola-unlocking-tool-online.html
Follow their link to the Motorola unlock tool and make sure you have the correct drivers. Once you have the bootloader unlocked, you can push a custom recovery in fastboot, then flash SU binaries, ROMs, and whatever else you want.
EDIT: Whoops, missed the part where you said you don't actually have the phone yet. Well, in my opinion it's still a pretty simple process if you've flashed custom software on your previous devices.
Thanks a lot.
