This is a stripped down version of Sandvolds ICS-Beta-0.3.9 with modifications in the updater script to install a couple of apps to internal memory (you can unintall them like every market app).
And some other small modifications.
It works smooth on CM7r2 Hboot.

But he still understands there is a demand for it so will publish a user made cm7r2 version of the stock rom if one is made for him, he just doesn't go out of his way to do it...

You've already stated that you're not much use when it comes to fixing things, so why not just make a thread in the general discussion thread for support for your cm7r2 version? Instead of making a "new" ROM with just a different title. I think to have your own ROM you'd kind of giving yourself a little more credit than is deserved, if your changes were major then it's justified but being able to claim your own ROM purely due to removing a few apps is unfair on real Devs who have worked hard to be able to have their own ROM thread... I have read your OP but didn't agree still, but hey this is just my opinion and I have a low post count...

good idea but wayyy too many apps are missing by default. i can understand if some1 leaves out flash or google maps but browser and calculator? thaths a dealbreaker for me and i guess im not the only 1.....

Its a good thing you comes out with this topic, it may give Sandvold's a little less disturbance on cm7r2 request for his rom. Any further discussions for this hboot should be discuss here. Not on the primary topic that mostly to develop the rom and for stocks hboot. Don't get distracted by negative thinkers. You already stated you only trim Sandvold rom and i think he will thanked you for your effort. You can always update Sandvold on your trimmed version so he can upload it to his site and high speed mirrors. In here we can discuss to make cm7r2 version of Sandvold rom more stable. Kudos to u!

In the meantime i would recommend you to install quickpic form market.

u need adb+drivers..if u have them then copy the .apk files into the same directory as adb and type the command
adb install appname.apk
..if u just copy them they will not install!

Try restoring the stock and then install the new version (if its compatable it will install)then go to titanium backup app then search for the app n look for integrate update in options...
I'm not sure if this will work coz I don't have a device to test it!

[THEME][7.23.13] Universal Infected for Touchwiz

This is Infected for Touchwiz
This theme is based on the theme originally created by mikeman45 for his JaR project
These themes utilize the VRTheme system. At this point the themes are only replacing PNG files and may insert a couple of XML files which are designed by the ROM developers themselves. I chose to keep it simpler like this so that troubleshooting ROM issues shouldn't be simply dismissed because the user flashed one of these themes.

IMPORTANT NOTES
I'VE TRIED TO KEEP THIS AS BASIC AND UNIVERSAL AS POSSIBLE. IT SHOULD WORK ON ANY TOUCHWIZ BASED S3 ROM THAT UTILIZES LIDROID TOGGLES...15 AND 23 TOGGLE VERSIONS... PLEASE READ THE IMPORTANT NOTES IN THE THE SECOND POST AND ALWAYS MAKE A NANDROID BEFORE FLASHING JUST IN CASE
Not all ROMs will be themed the exact same since all devs build their ROMs differently...
All the apps need to be in the system/app folder to be themed. Unfortunately it's just too unreliable to try and theme data/app...
The theme is also name dependent... It will only theme the apk if it is the exact same name... Including capitalization
AOSP MESSAGING
If you are using AOSP style messaging... You must navigate to system/app folder and make sure it is named Mms.apk... if you have SecMms.apk then rename it before you flash the theme...
AOSP EMAIL
If using AOSP email please make sure it's named Email.apk...
ANDROID 4.2 KEYBOARD
If you are using Android 4.2 keyboard then you need to make sure it's named LatinIme.apk or LatinImeGoogle.apk... some rom developers install it as SamsungIME.apk such as AxisM/GalaxyMOD so it will need to be renamed...
SWIFTKEY
If you want themed Swiftkey, you must convert Swiftkey to system app via TiBU then using a root explorer you must rename to SwiftKey.apk... exactly like that before you flash theme...

Nothing Impossible but why to make it odin file.
You can flash it to stock slot by Safestrap but dont forget to backup system in case somthing wrong happen.

So I just updated my mom's S3 from stock 4.3 to 4.4.2 via OTA and (OH BOY WAS I SURPRISED) it didn't change anything. We were hoping to get the kitkat toggle tiles as well as the Google Now Launcher in the play store. However the play store still thinks the phone is 4.3 so the kit kat apps do not show up. OTA and phone info says it's 4.4.2 so I give up on Verizon.
I was wanting to know if anyone else has flashed this yet and can confirm that it works... And if everything works properly (mostly).

This is the wrong thread for that, but...give it a little bit. Try rebooting the phone and also your google play might update itself. If it still doesn't recognize it as running 4.4 in a few days then idk.

I didn't want to make a thread just to talk about Verizon issues. I just dropped a tidbit of info to express my hate for Verizon and locked bootloaders. I figured someone reading this thread would have experienced a similar problem.
And I was asking if anyone has tried this rom/recovery yet...

i havent gotten to the rom yet cause i have people over but the safestrap i do know is good for backing up and restoring kitkat, ive already borked things a few times and had to restore backups XD. only tried it with the 4.4.2 though, havent gambled on restoring a 4.3 nandroid, probably wont either since i dont feel like dealing with odin to fix things if it locks down again
update:
flashed on stock slot, smooth and quick install, account synced up, all seems to be well so far. all bloatware gone and wifi works, thats all i can confirm since i dont have service, its just my lil wifi toy.

Flashing this now... Finally finished backing up all her media to Google Drive... Took HOURS. Idk WHY it's so freaking slow... Her gs3 has always been slow...

You can install it manualy ( apk and lib) push it to system by root file manager or by flashable zip.
It works on kitkat tw.

Can someone tell me if I'm safe to flash this rom? I have a locked boot loader but am unsure what "version". I'm assuming there was only one (4.3) that hasn't been exploited yet.. but I've been wrong before.

Hoping to update and try out Google Wallet, but didn't want to take the 4.4 OTA due to further hindering my chances of a boot loader downgrade in the future.

Ok, I'm stuck either way. By the time the 4.3 or 4.4 boot loaders are unlocked I'll probably have a new phone.
Going to update to remove my old SafeStrap, install 4.4, then TowelRoot, then install busybox, then install unofficial SafeStrap, then install this ROM into a slot.

no complaints. all the crap verizon and samsung install is gone, wifi works, been running it a couple days now and it runs well. cant verify texts or calls since i dont have service. but its good in my opinion, just a bloatfree stock rom.

Only folders have the permission rwxr-xr-x
1. Yes, delete your old secmms_candy.apk (if available arm-folder)
2.Correct permission is rw-r--r-- for floating_message.sh.
3. Clear your Cache/Data of Messages before reboot,or clear in recovery.

1. Have you added all files, even others.xml and floating_message.sh?
2. set permission for files rw--r--r
3. for Folders rwxr-xr-x
4. all Odex files with arm folder deleted?
5. Dalvik-Cache cleared?
You can also try AirMessage and AirMessageProxy copy in priv-app folder or test my new Update (Includes SecSettings with Floating Message)! Download and Changelog on first Post.

SecSettings have a little bug on Settings > Lockscreen > Lockscreen-Widgets (FC). If you find more bugs, let me know...I fixed that ****:laugh:
