Hello. I am new to the forums but am in no way new to Androids or technology in general. I am looking for someone to help me develop a new launcher for android tablets that I will possibly use in an upcoming game console. I am looking for someone who is willing to do this for no pay. However, if the release goes well, then you will be given some profit for your work. If anyone is interested let me know below or via private message.

Have anybody but me thought about having muliple user logons on an Android device?
I'm thinking with the Galaxy Tab and many similar devices to come it would be natural to share the device within the household. Naturally you wouldn't want others to log on to your facebook/msn/email etc.
Are there any projects aiming to do this? Would it be possible?
hey, I'm loosing it trying to find out the same for weeks now. Been trying to start a little project that would involve multiple users on a same device, somethink like the xp's guest user would be awesome...
can sameone at least tell me it's absolutely not possible, couse then I'd finish my search and try for something different, thx!
We just got a transformer tablet at work and we had to tie it to a public gmail account dedicated to this device but multiple users will need to use it and have it tied to their google apps account. This is a problem for us and the apps that 'divide' the tablet just cost too much for what they do. We have at least 4-5 people who would use it. This isn't a situation where we should just have a tablet for each employee. The scientific work we do requires so much equipment that it has to be shared and scheduled. The tablet is just another thing we have to pack up in the morning when we have field work on our project. Multi user android support is needed!
Hello guys
I'm fairly new to WP7 and recently bought an Omnia 7.
One thing pisses me off though - not being able to buy apps outside a supported country or credit card.
My suggestion is therefore, wouldnt it be possible to develop something like cydia app store for (pardon) iPhone?
Im currently on my phone and waiting for a flight at the airport, so havnt searched around too much, so incase i've failed to spot a similar thread please direct me to it instead of giving me a "use search you mofo"
Thanks in advance guys. =)
WP7 is fairly new, new countries will be supported as it grows larger.
As for a Cydia like application, I'm sure it will come along some time, but I don't think there is one right now.
I am currently working on a desktop application to bring a Cydia-like market to WP7. My main aims are:
- Provide homebrew developers with a place to host their applications/profit from them
- Provide a simple all-in-one dekstop solution for users to download, update and install apps to their phone
- "Trial Mode" will not exist, rather developers can post two versions of the same application with different functionality
- Market will be free from Marketplace restrictions. This includes UI/Metro restrictions. It's up to the user to decide whether they want to use a non-metro application.
My main issue at the moment is just getting the infrastructure in place and making sure everything is secure. I've only really got the barebones together, so it will take some time to get the project finished off.
Anybody who has any suggestions, feel free to post them here or PM me them
Cheers Blade0rz
Im happy to this is already in development.
I will let you know if any ideas happen to pop up. Will be following your progression
Hi everyone,
I am new to this forum and this is my first post
I have a Huawei Ascend Y320 (Android 4.2 Jellybean, dual-core processor etc), and I have heard that it is possible to run iOS on an Android device.
I have seen a similar thread discussing this topic... but the 'how-to' link in the thread does not load the desired page
I have also found this through a Google search 'iosonandroid' However the page forces one to make purchases for products and services that I don't want and don't furthermore trust.
So, that brings me back to my question, can one run iOS on Android...?
Please don't knock me for this, as though I quite like Android OS, I need to access iOS apps, such as 'iMovie', and other similar video editing/movie making software.
Android has many apps for such purposes, however, most are merely clones of Androids' stock Movie Maker, which has limited abilities, and can be quite buggy. I have managed to find a couple of great video editing/movie making apps on Google Play, but I would still be keen to be able install iOS apps to broaden my capabilities.
Any constructive help would be much appreciated
Cheers,
Harry
I'm going to answer your question quickly before someone thinks it'll be funny to troll you.
Sadly I will have to say, you cannot run iOS on Android, some developers have found a way to run iOS apps on Android but they haven't released much info on that.
The sites that say, you can run it. They're all bullcrap and just want you to register and fill out surveys. If there was iOS for Android, I'm sure it'd be on YouTube, and here on xda.
So again, you can't run iOS on Android.

Thanks for that Glad I got a 'straight to the point' answer from you, I really appreciate that.
I have seen evidence of heavy trolling on other threads... which makes it extremely difficult for people like myself trying to work out a solution to a query or problem.
And yes, I did wonder about the survey/register blah blah spam on the 'iOS on Android' website. I am glad I did not go through with the process, as it seems especially dodgy considering there is no way of contacting the dev....
Exactly, and the thing is, there is no specification for the device. It just has pictures of samsung and htc phones with the iOS screenshot and then the requirements on the page is based on Android OS versions... And it supports eclair. Lol.
Maybe sometime in future some smart developer will figure out how to run iOS on Android.

You Cannot frun IOS on any android device!! the most you can do is use a launcher or try few apps that (i guess) emulate ios apps
Hi Guys, I had a bit of a genius idea for an App. Anyways I have got a quote from someone who can create it for me, what I am wondering is though, how difficult do Google make it to get an app uploaded. Do I need a developer license or upfront payment etc. I don't plan on releasing anymore (not anytime soon), what sort of difficulties/costs are involved? Also how does device compatibility work, do I need to list all compatibly devices or its it just based on O/S version?
Hello,
I have some questions, but I'm really not in this field, so it's possible to say some stupid things. Please forgive me.
Also please forgive me for posting this here, but I'm thinking that here I can find some specialists that can tell me in what direction I must look to find solutions.
I want to develop a product, for a group of older people. It's composed from a tablet + the software for it. The tablets I plan to order from a Chinese manufacturer, but for the moment I want to buy a couple of tablets from a local store just to see if it works. The OS should be Android. The main purpose of this product will be an app (with some widgets) that will be pre-installed on it. I don't want the app to be available on Playstore. The app will be very basic in this stage. So, until now seems simple. I hire someone on Fiverr to develop the app knowing the main specifications of the tablets, then I buy the tablets, manually install the app and setting it's widgets to display as I want.
BUT, I want also to customize the opening animation of the device. And very important, to be able to update the app and it's widgets, and also the way the widgets appear on the screens. And maybe install some new apps for added functionality. It must be very simple to use for these people, they don't know how to install apps from Playstore, and to setup widgets and stuff. It must be a product ready to use and possible to update in the future.
Is this possible?
I need a customized version of Android? This can be updated on the devices, and set up all things, apps and how the widgets display?
Or I can make all these with only an Android app?
Any advice is welcome, thank you
