[Q] Can't add a Google account (Installing Play Store on unsupported devicee) - General Questions and Answers

Hi,
I'm trying to install Google Play on an unsupported device (Creative ZEN Touch 2). The device is rooted.
So far, I've downloaded the up-to-date APK of the Play Store, renamed it Vending.apk, and copied it in /system/app with the correct permissions. However, Play Store get an "error" after reboot - it says I need to configure a Google account first, I click yes, and the app just close (No force close. It just close).
Then I found this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R89HtH0WfuA
Seems I have to install the "GoogleServicesFramework" first, followed by "OneTimeInitializer" (What does this one does?) and "SetupWizard" (I do have a "Setup Wizard" on my device.
However, when I start the GoogleServicesFramework APK, I just get a Parse error ("There was a problem parsing the package"). The APK is not corrupted.
I notice that in my "Accounts and Sync", I don't have a Google Account, and cannot apparently add one (It's just not listed when I click "Add"). I've also installed Gmail app, and it just force close, because there's no Google account.
I tried the hard way, I've directly copied GoogleServicesFramework.apk in /system/app (Yeah, maybe I shouldn't have - but the device is unusable, a lot buggy and driver failure anyway), rebooted, but all that I have, are reccurent force close from Gmail, Dropbox and oddly ROM Manager (Dropbox and Gmail requires Sync so I would understant.. But ROM Manager? Oh well).
...So, what now? :/ Google Play could probably work, but I can't add a Google account (The device ROM was quite customized. It's not a phone, just a player)... What can I do, then?
Thanks!

I can't do this either on a Lenove p700

[SOLVED] Problem with google account after upgrade to Google Play

Hello,
My girlfriend's Desire S got the upgrade to Google Play market but it doesn't work anymore. I also tried to remove the upgrade but the issue is still present.
This is strange because I have the Desire S too, with the same ROM and configuration, but I didn't have such problem with the market that has been flawlessly upgraded.
The problem is that when I launch Google Play, or the Market 3.4.4 after the downgrade, it asks for a new Gmail account.
Something like: "To continue you have to add an account to the device. Add one now?" (Yes or No).
Of course if I say No, the Market quits.
If I answer Yes, it prompts for a new Google Account setup (note that the google account is already set up). Then I tap on Access (I already have an account and I don't want to create a new one) and once I try to login with my account it says that the account is already present on the device.
At this point I don't know what to do.
Already tried to reboot the phone and to clear data into Settings->Applications->Manage Applications->Market. But still no success.
What to do?
I've also cleaned the dalvik cache but nothing.
EDIT: Sorry, but I found out that my girlfriend made a wrong PDroid configuration, disabling all permissions to the Marked. I reinstalled the 3.4.7 Google Play version and now all works good.
I hope this could help someone else.

[Q] Problem with the Play Store HELP!!

Hello,
I have just done a factory reset to my Note 3 (SM-N9005) and signed in with a new google account, and when I went to the Play Store I couldn't see any apps under the my apps menu. It's like my pre-installed apps are not detected by the play store under my apps, yet if I went to the specific page of the app (like gmail or evernote) it shows that the app is installed and it gives me the update button. Also if I install an app from an APK file (like buzzfeed and ccleaner) they will have the same problem.
this is what I tried:-
1- I did multiple factory reset to my device.
2- I revoked my device's access to my account and signed in again
3- I revoked the access of the other account to my device.
4- I reviewed my Google account settings across all the products that I use and I couldn't find any thing (to my knowledge) that might cause this problem.
5- I tried to stop the Google Play Services and then turning it back on and tried to clean it's storage.
6- sync app data from my account
7- I created a new account and it had the same problems
To me it seems like the problem is my google account wont allow Google Play Services to sync correctly but I don't know what settings I should change in my google account to fix this. ( or maybe not, you are the experts )

Google account auto sync does not work

Hi all,
I have Huawei Honor 6 plus PE-TL10 from China (not rooted, stock recovery, ROM ends with B150).
I have installed Google Play Store from APK (just move APK to phone and install it as usual) and added my google account through dialog when you opening Google Play Store first time.
Ok. My google account was added, then I have to add GoogleContactsSync and GoogleCalendarSync to sync my contacts and calendar
In my settings I can see all of my google things to synchronization, please see attachments.
I have auto sync option turn on (corporate account is working properly).
I tried to readd google account, clear cache of Gmail application, Google Services Framework, Google Play Store and restart.
I tried clear cache partition from recovery (stock recovery).
BUT, I can't get gmail auto sync - I have to click button "Sync now" and then I get new mails and notification, etc. But it is not done automatically.
Any ideas, how to fix this?
Should I root the phone and flash Gapps throught recovery?
Is here somebody who has this working on Honor 6+ without rooting?
The weird thing is, that I am not able to install Google apps as it is on the video on youtube when you search "How to Install Google Play Store to Huaweir Honor 6 Plus" - sorry, can't add external links yet, when I try to search for "google" in Huawei AppCenter I can't see for example "Google Play Services" in the result list.
Thanks,
Jakub

autosync under shortcuts (slide down status bar)
Enabled from the beginning of time Thanks for the advice, but this is not solution. As I wrote e.g. company mail works fine in the default email application with auto sync.
I would root and flash gapps via recocery
Install 2 app:
h**p://chomikuj.pl/intseed/Android/Huawei+Honor+6/Tapatalk+powiadomienia,4699767435.zip(archive)
** = tt
as in my first post ... installed Thanks for your reply, but also without success.
I will have to flash it via recovery ... I am just waiting for the code to unlock my bootloader http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=60155167&postcount=187
I solved it by doing factory reset and install GoogleCalendarSync.apk and GoogleContactsSync.apk before installing Gmail app, now all auto sync options works fine.

Outdated google play installed with accounts manager

Hi,
So i was searching for methods to atleast help me login to some apps including taking a backup of my whatsapp chats to google drive.
I came across this :
Run snapchat without google services and without rooting
(1) Download and install snapchat from www.mediafire.com/download/00hbnrp11bmq6jk/Snapchat_9.7.2.0.apk (can download latest version from other places too but i have tested on this version)
(2)download google framework from https://sourceforge.net/projects/se...2.A.0.42/GoogleServicesFramework.apk/download
(3)download google Account Manager from www.mediafire.com/download/lho1jmw49k1gpqq/Google+Account+Manager_4.4.2-940549.apk
(4) download google play services from www.mediafire.com/download/ounh79r7av7da71/Google+Play+services_7.3.29+(1866531-036).apk
(5) Now install first google firmware than google manager and in the end google play service
(6) Restart your mobile (note your mobile may give error that google play service stopped ignore that and click cancel)
(7) now download and install google play store from www.mediafire.com/download/n2z2smxttttt7m7/Google+Play+Store_5.4.12.apk
(8) open playstore and login your account than close play store
(7) Now open snapchat and login your account you would be loged in but app will stop working
(8) After that go to application manager in your mobile and delete google play service, google playstore and google firmware
(9) Run snapchat and you are done
(10) Update your snapchat from any market you use after that if you want
Tested on Nokia X X2 and XL.
After following all this with exactly the same apk's i could manage to login to a gmail ID on the phone via the google accounts manager but every time i open an app that needs services, it would ask me to update the google play services.
So experimentally i updated the play store and services apk's and snapchat still refused to let me login but a different error this time(I feel it comes under their "against tweak" parameters.
Also whatsapp detects the google account but goes on forever authenticating the account, so im sure there is an issue communicating with google serves here.
Let me know if this thread makes any sense, or else it can be deleted. Thanks.
I tried it too. It didn't with for me. Would you mind adding the exact link to where u say it?

here, but i doubt as much as we try, it wont work, because theres something related to tencent thats blocking google play services from communicating or even running because it keeps crashing.

Google contacts sync broken

Hi, all. I've been having problems getting my Google contacts to sync on my Mix 3 running stock China rom. As you know, Google framework comes preinstalled and I've got pretty much every other Google service (mail, keep, play store) installed and working. I wasn't able to use the ubiquitous "Google installer apk" that most people point to because it first tries to install the framework but fails as it is already installed, and refuses to move on to the next steps. However, even though every other service works, my contacts refuse to sync. There are lots of guides to solve this very common problem with miui, but none of them worked for me. I've tried changing permissions for the contacts app, battery settings, installing a Google contacts sync adapter app, reinstalling the contacts app, and nothing's worked. Whenever I attempt to refresh the Google contacts app I get the message: "can't finish sync. Some contacts may not show up on all of your devices". Has anybody faced this problem?
I faced this problem too, after following the guide on Miui. I tried different permission settings and couldn't get it to sync.
Eventually the contacts app was updated though the Google play store, and it started syncing correctly. Make sure you have the latest contacts apk installed.

Thanks for your reply. I'll report back after an update occurs.
I think this is related to how Google Play Services is on the phone, I created a lite Google package for the Nubia Z17 and people had similar complaints about contacts sync not working... it was fixed by flashing the stock opengapps but we can't do that without TWRP here.
Download this Google Contacts Sync 9 (Android 6.0+) - https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/googl.../google-contacts-sync-9-android-apk-download/
Install and grant it permissions. Reboot phone and google contacts will start syncing without issues.
Thanks JJay666, it works for my mix3 china stock rom.
