So I was trying to get some help in the Sensation forums, but after doing quite a bit of research, it seems this error is not limited to just the HTC Sensation.
I updated to the newest CM10/Jellybean ROM, everything seems to be working FLAWLESSLY, except one thing: Google Now
The app opens up fine, but when I click the microphone to do a voice search, it says "Speak now" and acts like it's listening, but it never shows any soundwaves on the screen, and eventually changes to say "Tap mic to start speaking". I have flashed multiple gapps, multiple builds of the ROM, changed a file(called audio.msm6680.so or something), still no luck. I can live without the camera for now, but I NEED Gnow. It's the main reason I updated to JB in the first place.
Any help I could get would be greatly appreciated.
thanks
I'm running into a similar problem too. the difference is that when I click on the mic it shows sound waves and such and even shows what I said, but the problem is that mine doesn't do anything, just kind of stays in the same page and nothing happens. Google now works fine, when i type in the searches it works flawlessly, only the mic part of the app seems to have some issues.
I'm currently running stock ICS 4.0.3 on my rooted GT-N7000.
Any suggestions of what to do?
I don't know if this helps but i have HTC Evo 3D running STOCK ICS 3.6 and i installed MikeyXda's M6 zip of Google Now and it works flawlessly.
Try getting back on ICS and try installing.
Good Luck.

Three day old HTC One S, got first system update, problem was present before and after.
Google Search (Audio/Mic) complains, intermittently, Microphone not Available.
None of SkyVi nor any other microphone based apps can obtain use of the microphone, typically complaining "It looks like the microphone is being used by another application".
Htc NOTES complains "Unable to record because another app is currently recording".
NAVIGATION complains "Audio problem".
Seeking a utility or advice to help find what bad-app is holding control of the microphone.
And Vers: 4.0.3, HTC Sense: 4.0, S/w: 1.84.531.2 710RD, SDK 4.11, HTC Entens: HTCExtension_403_1_GA_4
Phone not rooted nor altered.
Probably unrelated
graduated from HTC MT4G, Sim replaced, m/b copied
One S hangs upon Hangup failed call
Very poor WiFi Calling on my Fast TWC
I'd browse through the menu/app and see what apps have mic permissions.
I'm having the same problem. It appears to be a software issue because I can talk on the phone with it. I tried recording video with it and it just closes upon me pressing the record button. This just started yesterday. I did do some app updates but I'm not sure which one triggered it. The phone didn't get wet nor did it drop.

HTC Sense version 4.0
Android version 4.0.3

I forced SkyVi to close through settings>apps>running it somehow had exclusive rights to the microphone even thought it says another app had control
"AUDIO PROBLEM" resolved!

Thanks for this hint/info! Freezing Skyvi (TB) immediately returned normal mic function to my Samsung Galaxy Tab/i800, resolving hours of "audio problem" errors I thought were related to a recently installed app (Maluuba). Darn misleading Skyvi error message (indicating some other app was using mic) pointed away from the problem.
Hi,
I brought Moto G last week. 2 days before i noticed an issue with my rear camera. After taking 2-3 photos it goes blur. Even if i restarted the camera app, Same issue is showing again. I informed this issue to Flipkart. They told me to install an app called Smartcheck. They remotely checked my device and told that there is not issue with my device. I updated all the apps even android latest update too. But still showing the same issue. can anybody help me to fix this issue ?
Are you using the aosp camera? I had the same issue with that app, myself on a CM -based rom. I had to switch to the google camera app, and everything worked just fine.

Someone tried it?

I tried, but the problem is that the Xperia Companion gives me an error saying that my device doesn't support Developer Preview.
I will try to flash a non Operator customized firmware.

That's what you will need to do. Carrier branded firmware not eligible for beta
Anyone try Camera2 probe APP on Android 10 Beta?
Maybe support RAW?lol
Mine had EE UK firmware, I changed to Custom US firmware to try the Q preview mode.
All I can say is that it's not worth to leave 9 behind just yet. It's pretty much stock Android without Sony stuff in it, kinda miss it already, but all in all I only noticed one bug.
Connecting earphones with Jack will still have the speakers playing music, but you're fine with Bluetooth connection.
The gesture thingy is pretty weird by the way, fortunately there's the option to go to the classic three buttons.
Don't know if this answers you question but here's a snapshot of the raw Info
Tried it last night, some of the open issues makes it quite unusable.
Setup wizard can sync down backup data from google account/cloud, but not restore via BT/Wifi from other Xperia device
Delay with black background after the “Android Beta” information is shown before entering home screen
Camera functionality and quality are limited compared to Xperia SW
Camera button press is not starting camera, but double press on power button starts camera
Chromecast does not work for audio/video as cast icon is not shown
Media playback support is not on par with Xperia SW.
External SDcard is not fully supported for media playback and MTP
Audio routing with PHF is not fully working
Adoptable storage is not supported
Sd card is basically useless. So is dual sim.

Thank you bro.
It looks still not support raw
Hope xz3 can use Gcam on Q
This is a copy from the website and seems to not give a full actual experience..... I've been using all day and it runs well .... The Google cam app that's in it is crap bit I've installed open camera and it works great ...... And I can also play videos and use the SD card as normal ... No issues ....... Google camera does not seem to be compatible as of yet .... Until it's developed specifically for Sony I guess
It seems more stable than the Android P Beta that was pushed for Xperia XZ2 Premium. I have it installed and using it without too many issues yet either. SD card is normal but camera is very basic. All apps installed and are running well also which wasn't the case with P Beta.
Out of curiosity, how many versions do Betas usually get?
I rolled back already btw, I was already missing all the quirks that Sony brought to this phone. Also that bug I mentioned earlier - about having headphones connected *physically* and still having sound coming out of the phone speakers - was annoying me.
I installed it right after it was announced and only sort of regret it. It's stable-ish but so many things have been made useless. I just got the xz3 two weeks prior so I'm still in my adjustment phase. I think I'll stick it out until the next beta in June. Lack of SD card slot use, camera that barely works... It's not pretty.
Beta time-line described here:
https://developer.android.com/preview/overview
I rolled back as well. I have been with Sony phones for twelve years and like the skin and apps also. I do enjoy test driving the new Android version as well but only temporarily.
In order to Flash a Customized UK version & update to Q, I unlocked the bootloader . Guys, do you know a way to lock it back, since Flashtool doesn't support it and also when I try from command lines it gives me command not found. Do I have a chance to restore it back to original state ?
Don't think so. No need to unlock bootloader to flash another regional firmware.
The folder 'c:\ProgramData\SonyMobile\Update Engine\[date]\localstorage\' contains the firmware downloaded by the Xperia Companion stored in *.file ~ 2.3 GB. I extracted and seems to be all the files that FlashTool downloads. Did someone tried to flash Android Q like this ?
Does it have Wifi calling for T-Mobile USA?

I don't know if it's network related or not, I'am on US firmware and Wi-Fi calling feature is missing. On Original firmware the feature was present.
Hello everybody,
I've got a u11 dual-sim India_SEA origin ( CID: HTC__060 ) which got updated to Pie a few weeks ago via official OTA update.
Current build number is 3.35.400.1
I just noticed that I have the following two issues:
1) Front camera ( selfie ) not working at all, apps that use the selie cam either crash or go back to the non-camera menu, the official HTC camera app shows the blurry image we normally saw instantly when changing from the rear camera to the selfie camera, and sticks there.
2) Google Maps timeline ( Location History ) not working at all despite having all the settings done right.
Any ideas ? Am I the only one with these issues ?
Still same issue?
Hello,
Are you still facing the same 2 issues which you mentioned..? Is it resolved or not? If yes, how did you resolve it..? Did you find any other issue in the device.? Pls clarify..
Thanks.
