Hello Guys,
I want to root my my HTC ChaCha , S-On is still on. I tried different files and threads but never succeeded. Sometimes incomplete info and sometimes missing files. Is there anyone who can give all the files here which we need for HTC unlock bootloader/S-OFF/Root . Please attach all the files here in one post if you have these files. And please provide some info too about how to use those files. Thank You
P.S I tried with htcdev.com but I was stuck on 5th step where I had to run fastboot in cmd. files were missing.

hi there, i recently bricked my sensation. i have the qpst tool and drivers installed i just dont have the phone image and boot image cannot find it anywhere:/
I have got the kernel source code from htcdev but the two files i need werent in there either.
is there a way of unbricking by rebuilding the source code if no one has the image files needed?
my htc sensation was running gb RUU_Pyramid_HTC_vodafone uk 1.50.161.1 but i unbranded it to this RUU_Pyramid_HTC_Europe_1.50.401.1_Radio_10.56.9035.00U_10.14.9035.01_M_release_223042_signed and then i couldnt update it or even update the boot loader due to not being able to write boot.img so then tried s-on and it now wont turn or or detect the charger. and i cant get it replaced under warranty due to it having a cracked external screen... help would be much appreciated.

it wont let me post there as this is only my 2nd post.. and i have been following there instructions and have go to the point i need the image files to carry on and i cant find them posted anywhere:/

i tried it before, the main problem is the Official Unlock via HTCdev doesn't serve an RUU for my phone's version which is 1.54.401.3 i have no idea what to do!

I'm having the same problem. My phone had a software update recently which upgraded the rom to 1.54.401.3 and now I can't use the RUU tool, as it requires 1.54.401.2.
Is there any way to downgrade back to 1.54.401.2 so we can use the RUU tool?

The only way is to downgrade
but the downgrade guide has broken links and i cannot follow the whole process ...
please anyone try to get us a new guide of how to downgrade from 2.3.5 build:1.54.401.3...

finally i found the solution!
nobody need to downgrade, and you don't even need to download the RUU 1.54.401.3. just skip this step 1 of unlock and go directly to step 2,
i did it my phone now is unlocked and i rooted it!
but before you go to step 2 make sure to enable USB debugging. (From the Home screen, MENU > Settings > Applications > Development > Check USB debugging)
Connect your phone to the computer using the USB cable that came with your phone. Wait a moment for your computer to identify your phone, this may take a few minutes

stuck with <waiting for device>
hi i tried everything given everywhere to unclock my bootloader. But still stuck on <waiting for device>. I need help on-
1) installing the drivers. (i guess i have)
2) how to overcome this waiting for device problem.
my device is connected when it is on, but when i go to fastboot menu after switching it off.. it gets disconnected and the computer says "usb device not recognised".

I tried htcdev.combut i got error 190 in update...i tried this way how to fix it http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=21408713#post21408713 but it doesn't work maybe i do something wrong or i don't know...tell me how to do it easy or otherwise (sorry for my english)

Hi Mate. Please understand that because you have an OEM device (HTC), the only way to unlock your phone is by following the instructions given by htcdev.com. Check and double check that you are following the instructions correctly (that's where people usually make mistakes - myself included).

I can not get which version the phone has, so i have used the cidnum and modelid. Here a picture of the fastboot loader see attachment.
May be you all have any ideas how to fix this problem.I have been trying for the last 3 days without getting anywhere.

Is your phone bootloader unlocked? If yes, just follow this LINK, follow those steps, and you'll be okay!

I had the bootloader unlocked b4 I tried using advance recovery to flash a stock rom but failed many times. So I decided to lock it to run a proper RUU but since I do not have a phone version number I had used cidnum and modelid numbers but that failed as well.
I dont know what to do now any more?
I need the original rom for my device htc one me (m9et).

If yours S-off (like mine) simply flash m9ew RUU. First you need to change into superCID 11111111 then flash any region of m9ew.

Hi, could u please elaborate a little. I am stuck with a brand new HTC One ME (m9et) and its crappy Chinese firmware. Happy to try and get m9ew onto it, but not familiar with firmware flashing on the HTC. Any general guidance would be much appreciated.
