[Q] How to safely remove default apps

The reason I ask how to "SAFELY" remove them is that in the past I have used Root Uninstaller and it seems to cause problems with FC of a gapps apk (can't remember the name) when rebooting the phone or accessing the market. Also, the market became iffy.
Although I tried to reset data/cache for each crashing app, I ended up having to reinstall the ROM to get control again.
Anyone?

[Q] Camera/Video Issue

I am using a htc sensation coredroid 2.7 rom and 1.6b1 bricked kernel. When I'm looking through my photos or browsing my videos, my phone freezes and i have to reboot it manually. Is it the rom or kernel causing this issue?
might be either of them. my suggestion is to wipe dalvik + cache and change the kernel, that being the easyest of them. if you still have the problem after switching kernel then it's the rom.
might also be a problem with the gallery app, so before proceding with the kernel/rom change, try settings > apps > manage apps > find gallery app and delete data + clear cache.

[Q] .apk file not found (freezing an app help)

Hi guys so I froze certain T-Mobile apps that came preinstalled with the phone and everything was working perfectly; the apps were gone. After I reinstalled the rom over the first rom (to get back to the rom's original theme) the apps are back. When I try to freeze them again it says that .apk file not found and it also shows that it's already frozen. I'm using Antek app manager and the same thing happens on Titanium Backup. Is there a way to fix this?
The obvious fix would be to flash and wipe data.
To fix without loosing your current data, one would need to know how Antek app manager freezes the apps.
It is most likely done through the package manger, maybe take a look at this:

[Q] Trouble opening Downloads app

Alright this has happend a couple times in the past to and I did not think much if it. It has began happening again ever since I flashed the latest Mahdi ROM. Now it might be a problem with the ROM but It has happend with many other ROMs as well. I was wondering if there is some sort of fix...When I go to open the Stock Downloads application it always say "Unfortunately, the process android.process.media has stopped working" now I can download everything fine but I just can't open the application. I tried going to the app and clearing the cache but that did not do much...any help would be appriciated.
Try reinstalling gapps
Hi,
Have you deleted or froze (with Titanium Backup for example) some system apps?
Because this has happened to me when I froze, don't remember exactly, some files like:
Code:
GoogleBackupTransport.apk
SharedStorageBackup.apk
BackupRestoreConfirmation.apk
And maybe one or two others..., sorry I can't be more precise because now I don't use DowloadProviderUI.apk (deleted), the stock download app if you prefer. Did you flashed the Gapps, if yes which ones?
Im gonna try and re install the gapps now, I did use bloatware remover to get rid of some apps. Im using the pa_gapps-modular-mini-4.4.2-20131230-signed gapps...
clear data for the app in the main phone settings, apps, all..
