Try restoring the app from the play store then restore data only with tibu.

Hi
A week ago i flashed my first Rom on my DHD. Before this, i backuped my apps and settings using Titanium Backup. It seems like i forgot to wipe my DHD befor flashing the new rom, because after flashing all my shelfinstalled apps and my settings were still there. So i never needed to restore my TitaniumBackup-Backup.
Now i want to flash a new rom. So i need Titanium Backup again to backup my apps and settings. But Titanium Backup isn't installed, or better ... i can not find it. It isn't in the App-Launcher and i can't find it under Settings --> Applications.
If i try to install Titanium Backup from the Market, the setup failed. "Nicht kompatible Atuallisierung" (in Englisch ~"not compatible update")
Can some one help me?
(Sorry for my bad englisch!)
Have you already tried restarting then downloading from market? I have had that issue.

how can i upload a new rom and not have all of my apps gone...?? i hate having to download all my apps and ish again, is there away to avoid this
Use Titanium Backup and backup all of your current apps. There is a free version of it on the market
You can also use cwm.

Well the only time you have to Factory Restore (delete everything) is when going from 2 different roms. If you are on stock, you'll have to wipe and format to go to CM7. BUT if you are on CM7 and just want to upgrade to a newer version... no wipe is required. Once you flash, everything will still be installed and configured like you had it.
So if you are forced to Factory Restore and wipe everything, it is always best to just do it. Just do it and set up everything back up on the new Rom, then just upgrade that from then on.
When you use Backup programs, they tend to "carry" over stuff from other roms that can cause bugs and instabilities. A typical rule of thumb is to not restore a backup that was created on another rom. Will it work? Probably. Should You? Probably Not.
I use the free App Backup and Restore. It works, and keeps links to purchased apps intact at reinstall (e.g. it will prompt you to download the app or license file from the Android Market if needed): https://market.android.com/details?id=mobi.infolife.appbackup&hl=en
I also use APN Backup and Restore to ensure my 4G info remains intact: https://market.android.com/details?...mNvbS5yaXRlc2hzYWh1LkFQTkJhY2t1cFJlc3RvcmUiXQ..

I used titanium backup and had good results when I was on eaglesblood. I recently flashed to weapons and all my titanium backup data was gone so I couldnt restore. I think this was due to wiping and then formatting data as the instructions say to do when flashing the rom.

It's because LG ROMs use internal storage as primary storage.. Change your backup directory to sdcard/External_SD/Titanium Backup and it should work.

I know, but one of my pet peeves when installing a new ROM is having to type in APN settings manually after reinstalling my apps, so I threw that in as a bonus.
thank to everybody who helped oon this!
Hi,
Before changing ROM from stock to Paranoid Android, I did a backup with Titanium and restored everything successfully. The only thing that I can't restore are the contacts. A popup tells me that it was done with a different ROM, but I ignore the prompt, and continue with the restore. However the contacts are not shown in my Contacts app or in the telephone directory. Unfortunately with the stock ROM I hadn't synched with Google, so I'm asking for any ideas how I could get this backup to restore... One option maybe is to go back to stock, do a Google synch, and then move back to Paranoid Android, but that would involve too much work... I don't know maybe the Titanium backup could be converted so as to be readable in Excel and I copy them manually??
Thanks for your help!
Try another tbkp version...
Me too, but now i use google contact and my contact already restore after login in playstore

Hi, what do you mean using another Titanium backup version? The backup was done with the same Titanium version. The problem is that it was made with a different ROM and wouldn't restore in the new ROM.
Hello All
I am having trouble restore apps to CM12 Unofficial with Titanium Backup.
I moved from CM11.
I could restore calls and messages fine, but general apps get stuck restoring.
Any ideas?
I've tried using all the modes etc but no luck.
I searched but could not find anything.
Merry Christmas
Scott
Open TiBu, Menu, Preferences, all the way at the bottom is App processing mode, choose INTERACTIVE. You'll have to manually restore each app and go through each app's permission requests and what not but it does work.
Thanks, but I tried that. App restores but the data does not, even when selected to. Any other way to fix it?
I had the same problem on CM12, I think the problem has to do with Superuser.. After flashing SuperSU in recovery, I was able to Batch Restore my Titanium Backups without issue..

I'm pretty decent with root ROMs etc, but I've always been **** at backing up properly. Any recommendations on apps (old or new) and instructions on how to backup and restore my phone so I don't have to relogin to apps, or reset up apps that don't keep my settings within apps that don't keep them even if they have a log in.
Any help would be appreciated. And no, google backup won't work. Doesn't do what I want

Hi, have you tried Swift Backup?
I always use it when I switch the ROM.
Not only apps and its setting, it can restore SMS, call logs and wallpapers though it can't restore entire system.

Haven't tried it, but will on next Evolution ROM update. Do you just not do a restore when clean installing the rim? Then root and install swift, and restore? That simple?

Yep. Just backup apps before doing clean install procedure.
And install Magisk on the new ROM, then install Swift backup and restore apps so that I can use apps just like before without any 're-configuration'.
