I did use your kernel but it is definitely TheWhisp sources because when he squashed update,he fixed the bugs and he was the one who ported ION to our device which requires a lot of C++ and C programming knowledge to be able to do that.If its your source,it cannot be filled with only several commits because squashed updating requires a lot of bug fixing and the amount of commits you have is only around 30+ whereas TheWhisp had 10,000+ commits so it has to be TheWhisp sources.Anyway i mean no offence and i am just speaking from a developer's point of view.Linux kernel is an opensource project so its about more of sharing your works with others and at the same time, helping one another to fix bugs. This is how every developer work in Linux

NO CM10 ALPHA 4 SUPPORT YET
Hi XDA members and fellow Galaxy SL users:
My name is Ooi Kai Sheng, and I'm a 8th grade student, and currently attending schools everyday. A little while ago, I started working on the current 2.6.35.7 kernel (Released by Samsung) for our device. As some of you know, our device doesn't have a fully stable CM9/10 yet due to the lack of some components such as DSSCOMP and ION in our kernel. Therefore, me and Adi_Pat(a.k.a Aditya Patange) have started the work of backporting them from the OMAPZOOM 3.0 kernel. Our current progress is at a state that we have to backport some parts related to memblock in order for the ION memory allocation functions to work.
THIS KERNEL IS BASED ON SAMSUNG & dhiru1602's GitHub Jellybean Source Code. So it is COMPATIBLE ONLY WITH SAMSUNG GALAXYSL (a.k.a. i9003) JB/CM10 Builds.
Installation Instructions:
Here's a step by step instruction to install this kernel:
1. Download the file from below (via phone directly or to a PC).
2. Copy the downloaded zip file to somewhere in /sdcard.
3. Reboot into CWM Recovery.
4. On the selection menu, select "install zip from sdcard', followed by"choose zip from sdcard".
5. Navigate to the path where the file is stored.
6. Select the file, select yes in the confirmation screen.
7. Reboot your phone.
TO DOs:
Backport the ION memory allocation functions into current 2.6.35.7 kernel.
Changelog:

For Kernel Devs/ KANGers/ Developers etc:
Just a statement regarding kernel source: The Kernel Source is of course covered under GPL version 2. Free software does NOT mean no work or time was spent working on it. I have donated a large sum of my free time to this kernel. If you want to include my kernel in your project or use my source code, please mention it in your post, give proper credits and a link to this thread. Also, please send me a github pull request or PM whenever you find bugs or think you can help improve my kernel further. This way the entire community will truly benefit from the spirit of open source. Thank you.

Thank you for coming up with this.
If iam not wrong this is the first custom kernel compatible with JB builds for SGSL.
A request: Please post the original kernel Tar file. If any one wants to shift back to normal kernel so they can.
Nice. No obligations but can I request you to make a version that's compatible with MIUI since the MIUI I linked is based on Dhiru's CM10 Alpha 1? Tried flashing this on the latest MIUI but I got a bootloop.

HW Composer
Sorry if you take this as a noob question, but does this kernel include the experimental HW composer features that dhiru introduced in the experimental alpha 12 of cm9? Some people reported them as working. Also could you please list all the governors that you have included in this kernel.
Thanks.
thanks for the kernel, good work,
it is smooth and can feel the the difference of speed,
but device gets too hot I had to get back to 1ghz
Please do add more governors to the kernel base like smartassv2 and lionheart.
Being using it for past couple of hours phone feels smooth, everything works fine too.
Just suggesting a name for the kernel.....
How about terminator kernel?
Thanks for this great effort! could you add Dhiru's default kernel in case we want to go back? thanks :good:
but I see a new kernel
ho my god! it's party here
consume this small jelly moderation MouHaHa ?§!
I thank you test
is good because I have a lot of custom rom nexus of a port
I feel that the wheel turns for our i9003
it was time
wowww.....!!
Working like charm.....!
Tried this bluetooth fix http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1896171 with this kernel and it is working perfectly.
Initial release so expecting alot more in terms of governor.
All the best
in test !!!
for now ty for your great job

I am sorry for crashing the party, but there isn't much difference between your and tilaks ROMs.
The thing is the so many features you are advertising are all based on build.prop
But half of them don't do anything. If you see the article analysing build.prop tweaks, there are about 10 of the most popular tweaks that are said to improve performance or battery life which don't even do anything.
Half of the build.prop tweaks either only work on 2.3 or simply they were carrier specific or manufacturer specific.
Only a handful of build.prop tweaks actually make any difference in stock ICS. And the story isn't different for jb.

Kitakami doesn't use sdcardfs, so it's useless to add it

thanks dear for update
Satsuki Single Sim is now finally supported
Your PDesire
Finally Flashed it! (on a clean stock rom), E6883, came from a Lollipop rom, didn't upgraded before as afraid of a too hot/drain battery/not stable phone. Now, although Stock rom is not that pretty and customized as custom roms, I will love the battery and stability. (Successfully restored most of the apps with settings, so look the same but feel smoother)
Nougat(32.4.A.0.160) was out of my expectation, it is fast, just hot sometimes, after with this kernel the battery really last longer, and super stable (Looking forward for the EAS version). Thank you PDesire!
Now I want to know if you guys recommend Greenify and antivirus for this? (you know, Nougat + DevElite kernel sounds more secure and optimized than ever)
First, thanks for all the hardwork
Flashed in a stock clean room 6853. So far
the boot is way faster than before.
Runs smoother
Runs faster.
I'll keep you updated
Kernel works like a charm, very smooth! Is it possible to use it without root though? I use Samsung Pay and it's getting upset at SuperSU.
After 24+ hours of normal use, I encountered that some Google apps close suddenly when using, especially Gmail, it happens more frequent than others. (These apps came preinstalled with Nougat and I can't uninstall and install them again). Any idea about this?

I haven't experienced this issue after ~72 hours use.
I'm not responsible for any damage that might happen to your device!
As I'm still learning I hope you can forgive me any mistakes that I could've made!Have fun testing!

1. Make sure you are running an AOSP 7.1.2 rom ( RR or LOS )
2. Flash the kernel using latest TWRP
3. Use the recommended app to control the kernel - https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=11050483647474831695
4. Have fun and report everything suspicious that might happen :fingers-crossed:
The project started on the Sony Xperia Z2, with the help of many great people I've met throughout the years I spent on XDA I managed to make my dream come true. I compiled my first kernel. I always wanted to somehow collaborate on my favourite forum and I knew this was the way to go. Finally, after many days of learning how things work I compiled the kernel for my new device, the Galaxy Note 4 Exynos.

Wow, development for good dead device is rejuvenating.. Thanks for the love Sir!
Very nice to see development happening for this device which is almost 4 years old now. This is a great gift for the aosp users. Will try this out when I have the time. Thanks
Many thanks for your hard work! *DOOM theme playing*
Downloading for testing in 3, 2, 1... :crying::silly:
Congratulations! Hope to see U a RD !
@DahakePL nice job and quite effective tho ?
Benchmark AnTuTu about 100k with stable system - that is not bad at all ?
All the best on your new devevelopment projects. Thx for ur efforts!!
PS. Maybe TouchWiz Nougat/MarshMallow as well - my suggestion ?
I know that the build says that it's Initially for N910C devices, but will there be plans to support N910H as well, since it can also run LOS and RR?

Alright after reflashing Lineage, I can confirm that kernel does support N910H as I haven't had any issues whatsoever as of right now. Thank you for creating the first AOSP kernel for our Exynos devices DahakePL.
Working great. Xbox controller is also working ))

Where it's best to download the LineageOS or Resurrection Remix OS for Note 4 Exynos? Here? https://forum.xda-developers.com/no...10c-n910h-lineageos-14-1-resurrected-t3786487

If you are asking which one is better, it depends from person to person. LOS focuses more on battery optimization at the cost of lack of customization, while RROS focuses more on customization but at the cost of battery and perhaps performance. Overall, it just depends on what you prefer really. FYI, I would probably suggest asking this question here, since this thread is for the kernel for AOSP ROMs.

I didn't see it in the description and haven't tired the kernel yet but does it have support for DT2W? If not can you add?
Also thank you for your efforts and taking the time to develop it.
