I recently got a new ROM for my sgh-1727r, the cyanogenmod 10.1. Now when my phone boots up it won't connect to my mobile network and I can't send calls/texts. Help?
You have to install the "radios" search for them and update them that should fix your problem
this link might have what you need

Thank you so much for helping! I successfully flashed it, however, I still don't seem to be getting any service. Was I supposed to clear cache/data before flashing the radio?

i recently flashed mighty rom onto my sprint tp2 and lost all internet connection. when i try to setup a new connection sprint is not on the list. if some one could please help me out i would greatly appreciate it
ok so i wiped the memory clean and when it rebooted the wifi started working but still no data.. i installed the sprint carrier provision cab and still nothing.. when i went back to the carrier provision settings it still shows up telius tho. so idk whats goin on here.. some help would be cool
nobodys got anything on this?
You don't mention what ROM you flashed, but I had a similar problem when using NRG's stunning "Leo" ROM in 6.5.3. Nothing I could do would bring back the internet connection until I flashed MightyROM and things worked properly again. I suspect that flashing back to a stock Sprint ROM would also work, and that was my next step if MightyROM didn't fix it. Note that hard resets and re-flashes accomplished nothing. I'll re-load the NRG ROM when I've got more time to screw with this thing and see if the problem returns.
hi there! i am new to this forum as registered member, but i've been often here in the previous months.
now i have a problem.
i have made an s-off and installed cyanogenmod a couple of months ago. the version was definetly 7 but i can't remember which one. back then i had problems with wifi and gps, none worked, but i googled it, and found that flashing the radio via clockworkmod helps. i used one of those standard versions of radio found on cynogenmod webpage. the versions 3.35.15.31, 3.35.19.25 and 3.35.20.10
and that solution not only made wifi and gps work again, but it made gps work better, it took total of 2 minutes to find satellites and get a good fix.
but two days ago i updated my cyanogenmod to 7.1.0.1-buzz and the problem appeared again. so, ok, i'll flash the radio again.
the first problem was the clockworkmot, since i upgraded it to ver 3, but i managed to downgrade it via rom manager and install the radio drivers (not sure if "driver" is a good term for it). but it helped only partially.
so i tried all three possible radio drivers, but all i managed is to make the gps work. it works fine, but when i try to connect to a network it gets stuck at "obtaining ip address", then it says "disabled" and tries to connect once again. and that goes in circle constantly!
i tried to google it, and search in this forum and several others, but i cant find the solution. always before i install the radio drivers i wipe the dalvik cache, but that doesn't help either. i tried it via rom manager, by rebooting into clockworkmod, i even tried to reset the phone, then wiping dalvik and then flashing radio, but that doesn't help either... does anybody have any idea how to fix my broken wifi? any help would be appreciated! thanks in advance!
p.s. should you need any info regarding my phone, just ask!
still nothing? guys... please... help!

I have exactly the same thing. HELP US
Hi all,
So like most of you, I flashed to the newest version of CM (10.1.0.2). After doing that, my phone wouldn't read my sim card, so I tried the latest nightly released on 7/1/2013 and it worked! Only problem....my phone wouldn't make phone calls/texts/ I wasn't connected to the network.
So then I flashed to a stock rom via odin, did a factory reset, and upgraded to the latest OTA. Problem is, I have 4G, I can text, use data, etc. But my phone won't make phone calls. Every time I try, it says "dialing" and then the call ends.
Is anyone else experiencing this problem; does anyone have a solution? I could really use the help.
Thanks so much,
El dep.

I've been chatting with Verizon all morning to figure out how to fix it. I'm in the same boat as you.
Update Verizon is sending me a new phone, i've gone through all of their steps to find a fix, but we can't seem to find one. My phone is stuck in roaming, and we can't seem to get it. So they are sending me a new device. Hopefully you guys will have better luck. I will no longer be placing roms on my new device.

Haha this is just brilliant. I hope you come up w/ a solution. I'll let you know if anything works on my end. Fingers crossed!
Kind of long, but it's just a difficult explanation, please read and try to help me. Thank you.
Okay, so I have a really weird problem, and I can't seem to fix it at all. I unlocked the bootloader and rooted my Sprint Motorola Photon Q, and had no problem with data loss, then I flashed PAC Man Rom, and everything went fine and it flashed but then I noticed that I had no data. No 3G, 4G, or 4G LTE, the phone lost network signal, but what was weird is that I could still receive texts and phone calls.
So, then I read that wiping the Dalvik and the regular cache would fix it, and it didn't. Then, I also tried flashing a different ROM which also didn't fix it. I RSD back to stock firmware and the problem was gone. I even tried rerooting and just installing a different ROM but, it still had the same issue, so I just went back to stock again.
Can someone please help me fix this? I've looked everywhere and I can't really find anything to help me out with this.
Thank you in advance.
Is your provider Sprint as well...?
I'm not sure, data works here on custom ROM's... which version are you flashing? Have you tried CM11?
There's some new device unification going on, the newest KK builds are going to be under the "moto_msm8960" device instead of xt897...
No I haven't tried CM11. Where do I find the IMG for it at?
I have Flash Wireless, which is Sprint prepaid. I have tried CM11 and still nothing. I don't understand what is going on....I'm getting real frustrated because I want to put a good custom ROM on my phone....

Perhaps that's the issue. Did you check your APN settings? Is it using Sprint's network?
Hey everyone, thank you for reading this post. I recently purchased an AT&T z998 and I have a problem with the data connection. My carrier is Airvoice Wireless (it runs on AT&T networks). I had to factory reset my phone with a small google play problem and after that, the data connection would not work anymore. Everytime I open the browser, it would just give me a host error. I followed the instructions at airvoice.com to add the apn again and it would still not work after that. I am rooted running cwm. I used framaroot with the gandalf exploit. There is an option in cwm that says format carrier. I didn't want to risk anything so I didn't try that. I tried flashing a rom that was a simple tweaked version of the stock rom and it would not work even after adding the apn on that rom. I am really stumped and not sure what to do. If anybody has any advice or fixes, I would be grateful. Thank you again.
