What is this ?
This is a Live Wallpaper, that shows the current Battery Level in a "different" fancy way! It is customizable with different styles.
But it is not too fancy. I want it to match the current plain, simple and clean look of Android 4.4.
Read the feature on XDA Portal Thanks Guys!
Why this ?
Some of you may know me from my other thread "The Rom Fumbler". That is a tool to render and create Battery icons.
Now with Android 4.4 battery icons are drawn on the fly by some Java Class inside your ROM.
The good old 204 png's are gone. And it is much more complicated to modify your Battery icon.
Even more: Now we have "Immersive Mode", Pie and so on, making the statusbar invisible.
So I had some reasons to develope this app:
My Rom Fumbler is a little bit useless at the moment!
I want to have a good look at my Battery level all the time!
I dont want to waste real estate of my screen with a battery widget!
I wanted to dive more into android app developement!
I wanted to have my Rom Fumbler icon-styles back!
Good thing ...now I have much more space to draw my Icons!
Features
12 different styles (more to come!)
Animated on charge
Colors custommizable
Opacity customizable
Background image selectable from gallery
scrolling background image on swipe between launcher pages
plain colored backgrounds
No junk, no advertising, no internet connection ...
fast and no battery drain

Very cool! Can it be moved so that it's not behind the 'hotseat?' Also, is there a way to pull backgrounds from the system wallpaper app instead of gallery?
Good one
Really cool
does not set a custom wallpaper for me. Shows some scrambled image.
For now using a color pattern.

Brilliant app! [Suggestion]
Just downloaded your LWP few hours back and Im already in love with this.
Here is a small suggestion I would like to give for some future build.
I dont generally use LWP but instead I use Zedge to change my wallpaper every hour/day or so. And i assume there are a lot of people like me who prefer the same. I noticed a clash where in, when zedge updated my wallpaper, it turned off the BatteryWallpaper.
So my suggestion would be to create a compatibility with the zedge app or any such app where it keeps the battery percentage over every refreshed wallpaper.
Or otherwise, you could include a similar option of refreshing the BG image after every defined interval.
Apart from that suggestion, I believe this is a brilliant idea. Probably the ONLY LWP I would ever use!
That looks really nice :good:

Bad ass development! Only nag us when I select a picture from my gallery it rotates it 90 degrees counter clockwise lol
Sent from my C6903 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Liking this idea, if only there was a way to use my own wallpaper and have the battery indicator as it is here (sort of an overlay of the indicator part over my own wallpaper kind of thing).
EDIT: Or maybe it does and I need to read more carefully?

I just wanted to give everyone a heads up that there is now a scrollable RSS feed widget in the market named AtomaRSS. It looks nice and works much like the RSS feed widget from sense roms. Enjoy!
Seems to work great for Google news feeds but it won't pick up rss feeds from Engadget or Gizmodo. Has a lot of potential.

I am personally waiting for google reader integration before loading a majority of my feeds. It works awesome but would just be a pain to manually enter every one of the feeds that I follow.

Nice, I did not think, so many would use that.
Cool app. This is what I've been looking for for some time. Does need Google Reader support though (as I mentioned in my market rating).
Anyone else seeing unusually-high CPU usage for AtomaRSS though? I added 2 feeds with a 90 minute refresh, and in the past hour (since I installed it), it's used 4m2s of CPU time. It was at 1m31s of CPU time when I put my phone down in standby mode 45 min ago. Removed widget from my homescreen.
-edit-
Just checked, and CPU usage just passed 5min (with the widget removed from my homescreen), so I've uninstalled.
Very good app, thanks for the work!
Some essential things that I would like to see:
-When clicking a feed it should open in the standard browser, not the Atoma-version
-I would like to be able to adjust font size and space between the feeds, as I think they are not very space efficient as is.
Woow, 100 dowloads already
AtomaRSS v 2.0 is out
Very well done, now with new settings, different widgets...
New Version 2.1.1 in Market
Hi,
just posted a new version (2.1.1) of AtomaRSS to the market.
some comments:
* Let me know if it still uses that much cpu (but only if you don't use the experimental link-preload-function, because then it will use cpu, bandwidth, time,... )
* different font sizes / spaces: please tell which things you want to have changed, so i can incorporate another "news-entry-skin'. Unfortunately I don't know of a possibility to change textsize dynamically within a scrollable widget.
* Google reader integration: nothing that will happen soon, but I think i will look into this
Please feel free to share your thoughts and wishes
Nice update!
-open link in external.. I like that!!
Do you think it´s possible for a share menu? (to share for twitter,...)
I know one can get to external and share then...but..

I think this feature would make it an epic app with exploding downloads and all the hype through big android blogs.
Always remember, many geeks bought Android because we are Google addicted
I'd like if there were an option to pull feeds from Google Reader, kind of like how Pulse News Reader does it. It's a lot easier than typing in each URL individually.

+1 on the weather and battery and sizable widgets (4 x 1 would be my choice)

Yep, weather information would be awesome.
But after all, its supposed to be a clock widget, not something like Beautiful Widgets or Fancy Widget.
The editor by the way is absolutely awesome! great freedom of customization and aligning. Never saw something like that before
And yeah, more Widget Sizes would be muuuuch appreciated!
Testing now, looks promising though! Do you think you could add, if not already there and I can't find it, a vertical option as well?
Kinda tedious to use tuning option. Suggestion would be to be able to drag parts with your finger then use tuning for fine adjustments. Love the widget keep it up.
EDIT: and a left, center and right justify option

Sorry, I was at work and only had a minute to post. What I meant was that I think it would be good for you to add a vertical text option. I posted my lockscreen to show you what I mean. If your trying to give the app a lot of flexibility, that option would add to its appeal.

Thanks for your feedback. Could you tell me how did you feel not smooth?
Very nice launcher, not sure why the other person said it wasn't smooth, ran perfectly fine on my Fire Phone with the exception of not being able to set wallpaper, but that's down to the Fire Phone. The X-Screens worked fine with showing a background.
Keep up the good work!
The only thing that could be improved is the English used for the app, I understand though, that you are from China and it's your second language.

Nice app
Dose this support Nexus 4?
1 ) I can help translate app into polish if youwant
2 ) Is it possible to add option for disabling app drawer and having all on home screens? Like in mui
really good app,and easy enough to use..
if you can add transitions that would be great
i hope i dint miss it.
This is a really nice start.
Here are some suggestions.
1. There does not seem to be a way to make me custom created screen have a grid. Its just free form which makes it hard to place icons precisely with out work.
You can edit the grid for "normal screens"--what is a normal screen?
2. Add a dock editor or dock presets
It says you can do this but after an hour of searching I could not figure it out so make it easier to find if its added already.
3. There are no app drawer settings and I have to use YOUR background?
Other than that this is a great launcher and I look forward to updates.
Thanks for your support. Any suggestions, feel free to tell me!

Concept:
HomeUX aims to revolutionise the way users interact with their smartphone homescreens.
HomeUX provides a simplistic yet highly functional user interface with full integration of Google's Material Design. This is way beyond your typical Android launcher.
Here is why you will love HomeUX:
• Folder Integration - Organisation like nothing you have ever seen before
• Ultra Clean Interface - From apps that always stay where you need them to be and until the Clock widget and easy settings, every element is as elegant as possible
• Color Themes - Your homescreen will always have a fresh look as you navigate your folders with the Material Design colours palette
• Intuitive Control - Natural swipe gestures and attractive Material Design transitions are the core of HomeUX
• Advanced Functionality - Practical simplicity would be the best way to describe HomeUX as tap-and-hold shortcuts, quick access buttons, and extensive options are all inclusive and expanding as more development is being held.
The project originally started as a concept created by @mastermind131 and developed further into reality by @JohnnyBro with myself as the designer from the OnePlus forums. We all shared the common belief that launchers currently available can be improved with a more user-friendly and elegant user interface and this is exactly what HomeUX strives to become.
Availability:
Google Play beta testing, though we are quickly approaching a public release. You can install HomeUX now by joining our beta-testing community and opt-in as a beta tester. The beta version is fully-featured and up-to-date. At release, this version will be updated to the lite version with ability to unlock all features via a small purchase. For now, we are focusing on getting all planned features up and running and for that we need your help, so get reporting!
Questions?
Post below! We will be happy to answer any of what you have. You can find more user-submitted screenshots of HomeUX below (thanks to all those who participated in sending screenshots)!

It took me ~30 minutes to set up all the folders exactly how they were set in Apex Launcher. I love HomeUX so much more. It takes a few seconds to load up initially, but after that it's smooth and laid out in an easily viewable way. Doesn't feel overloaded or like I'm missing out on any features. Great mix of minimalism and features!

Liking it so far.
If I may say, it would be nice to be able to change the color of the App drawer (setting it transparent/solid color etc) in the future
Hope your launcher will go far
It's way smoother than I thought it would be, props to you for this awesome app. I hope youll be successful.

I'll try it its good to see new developers
Best of luck with this project. I must say what an interesting launcher, this was something new
One idea is to be able to change the background color of applications list or maybe even be able to set a picture there.

Thanks everyone. I'm glad to hear that.
Now I'm working on context menu for apps (long tap on app in list). It's have some difficults, but I have idea how to solve it.
Also, I add some transparency parameter to block's background. I hope you can enjoy it and app context menu in 0.2 beta.
Please tell me about issues to fix and suggestions in this thread.

So far no bugs encountered seems pretty stable for being first release. Though that might be to its easy way it's built but it's a brilliant idea

Thank you, since Zeam was discontinued, I was looking for a simple, light and fast launcher like this.
Link doesn't work says file doesn't exist. Perhaps try hosting on a different site?
Installed it and I like how minimalistic it is. For a beta, it's very well done. The idea is awesome. I'm looking forward to further updates and development.

Now I attach APK file to OP post. Have fun.
Nice launcher! I wait for update and official version! (Beta looks and works really nice).

Hello everyone! I update launcher to 0.2 beta. And I add color picker for background (see Preferences to set). Now you can make background fully transparent.
Also I add menu for applications in block "Applications" (hold on item to open menu). For now you can delete app quickly.
Block "Favorites" still in development. It's caused by some troubles in code.
New APK attached to OP post. Have fun.
Change colour of gradient would be bad either :3
Maybe a gray scale mode for battery saving feature could be great regards
