Hi. I use Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini with Cyanogenmod 11, TWRP kernel.
Since I flashed the new ROM (from stock to CM) I am having troubles playing video with BS Player (Google Play) from my external SD card (MicroSHDC 16 GB) .
I remember having some problems with SD card when I flashed it on my old Galaxy S2, but not this exact one.
I still can play the videos with default player and VLC player (VLC can't see any files on SD card in the bulit-in browser, but can play them when opened from a file explorer), which is quite weird.
I want to use BS Player because of it being able to directly download subtitles, which is very handy (czech subtitles).
For now I can either flash the stock ROM, always copy the files fron SD to internal memory or use different player with external subtitle downloader.
If this was already posted, I'm sorry. I couldn't find it, please refer me to the topic.
Petr.

Hi
I've upgraded my Samsung galaxy 5 i5503 from android 2.1 to android 2.2 and i rooted my device & repartitioned my sd card 2 partitions so i can use link2sd everything is great exceot this problem
The music player wont read the mp3 files and the gallery also says "no items found"
n.b: when i format the sd card from the mobile it works fines but the link2sd wont work cuz of the abscence of the 2nd partition
any solutions ??
Thanks,
Did you check for any .nomedia files and remove and reboot afterwards?
I know there is a limitation regarding deleting files on external SD card with KitKat; but I read in the FAQ it was supposed to be corrected.
With 1.7.26 version, I can not delete files on external SD card from the MX player Pro app.
I use the Samsung Galaxy S5 (4.4.2, NOT rooted).
This functionnality is OK when I use ES Explorer App.

I can do it if I use ES Explorer.

@bleu8888 could you take a look at this?
Workaround was added on 1.7.25 but this workaround looks like being blocked again.
Unfortunately any other workaround is not known as of now.
Tried many app can't find mp3 in SD card, like Apollo in CM rom.
Please advice.
Thanks
Except someone will help too.
Try vlc media player or es file explorer.
Hello,
I have read the found threads but none was able to explain better or solve this problem.
My friends GT-P3100 is running a Rooted Stock 4.2.2. But the Stock Music player would not detect the Mp3 files in the SD Card. I copied a few into the Device Storage and it found it.
Does that means i have to move all the files to device? Any optional Player to work perfectly?
Thanks
