PIN lock and notifications on lock screen - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey XDA,
As of yesterday I'm back on Android! I switched out my iPhone 4s for a Nexus 5, it's good to be back.
Is there a way to get notifications and widgets on the lockscreen when using the PIN unlock? Because of security requirements for my work I have to use PIN unlock.
I'm rooted and switched to using ART.
Thanks!

If you aren't running a custom ROM which has lock screen notifications built in... Another way is xposed module notification mod which allows you to pull down notification tray when secure locked

The Slidelock app seems to be able to do what I want. I am running ART so I can't use Xposed.

[Q] Can't Override Smart Lock

Hello XDA. I have been running the cm12 nightlies and it has been amazing. I just have one problem. That problem is that when using trusted location with smart lock, touching the lock icon does nothing, whereas it used to lock the device until I entered my pin code. I am bootloader unlocked and rooted with TWRP 2.8.5.1. I also have xposed 3.0 alpha 2 and the following modules:
Always expandable notifications
Chromepie
DisableFlagSecure
Gravitybox [LP]
Greenify
Heads Up Hide
Lolistat
Native Clip Board
Network Speed Indicator
PlayPermissionsExposed
Screenshot Delay Remover
Text Xposed
Tinted Recent Planels
True Silent Mode
XInstaller
Xposed GEL Settings
YouTube Background Playback
Sorry for the long list. Just wanted to get it all out there. Is anyone else experiencing this behavior?

[Q] How to disable selected notifications on lockscreen only

This bothers me since Lollipop is released.
Is there a way to block selected notifications on lockscreen but still showing up in statusbar?
I'm using pin lock and want to have the music widget on the lock screen but when I enable the lockscreen notifications also Tasker is shown there.
The only option I have is to block Tasker completely which also prevents Tasker from showing up in the statusbar.
Its like everything or nothing.

Yeh but its only possible to block an notification completely but I only want to disable it on lockscreen and have it still showing in the statusbar when the device is unlocked.

I know this is not exactly what you need but this could help a bit, go to settings, sound n noti, when device is locked, dont show notifications.

Toggleable Pattern/PIN Lockscreen?

I think this is the right place to post, since it's a security thing, although it's nothing to do with hacking.
When I was on JellyBean (turns head and spits) and SlimKat I used Secure Settings and Tasker to switch the pattern lock on and off depending on my situation (I mean, I had Tasker and SS change all my sound, screen and radios settings at the tap of a scene button). Now that I'm on Lollipop I can't use SS. Is there a way to easily toggle a pattern or PIN lockscreen on and off? The stock lockscreen and 3rd party apps require the pattern or PIN to be reinserted TWICE to enable them. I want an app that remembers it and doesn't require it to be re-entered to enable/disable.
(GS5 Neo, rooted, stock 5.1.1)
I've found something I can work with. Using shell commands I can emulate touches to activate/deactivate this:

How to filter notifications on Nexus 5 / Marshmallow?

My Nexus 5 has not been rooted, but if I need to root it, I will do so. I would like to be able to filter on a per-app basis all notifications. For example, I have Ultimate Rotation Control and Custom Quick Settings installed. Both place notifications on the lock screen. I would like to eliminate these notifications from the lock screen without blocking other notifications from these apps or other lock screen notifications. If possible, I would like to be able to save the filters as profiles so I can easily change them.
Can anyone recommend an app for per-app notification filtering?

Xnotifications. Or GravityBox. But for those you'll need both root and the Xposed Framework.
Before you do any of those though, doesn't your stock ROM give you the option to block certain notifications on the lockscreen?

There is no mechanism to specifically block notifications from appearing on the lock screen. It's possible to "hide sensitive content", but the notification still appears, taking up just as much space. Other than that, the only choice is to block all notifications. It's an incredibly stupid oversight for android to not provide a mechanism for per-app blocking of lock screen notifications. Another gripe is the silly requirement for a notification to be in the notification bar or solely to enable an app to listen in the background. There should be a setting to hide such notifications. (Hiding should be the default.)

I have the option to hide such notifications in the lock screen. But I'm running a custom ROM. Seeing that you're not rooted, I'm assuming your still on stock also. Which is pretty surprising seeing that you have a Nexus 5. Which is almost synonymous with root and custom ROMS.

Android Lockscreen notifications like IOS

Hey,
in iOS 11 you're able to hide the notifications on the lockscreen and show them when the phone is unlocked through the fingerprint, but you're still on the lockscreen. Is there any way or app to make the same on an Android Smartphone? I can hide the notifications from the lockscreen but when I unlock the phone I'm directly on the homescreen. My Phone is the Galaxy S9.
