It's because your rooted snapchat doesn't like root its picky. Some have issues and some don't

Private mode not working with root?

Heyo,
Anyone had luck fixing private mode not working with root?
The old xsecurestorage module doesn't seem to do the trick anymore.
Any ideas welcome!

It works on my rooted s7 but you can try out an xposed module called "xtouchwiz". In that module's security hacks you can fake the system status to official and see if it helps or not.

I'll give it a crack. Thanks.
Are you using xsecure or just working rooted without any fixes?

I'm on a custom rom with xposed, but didn't have any problems in root either. But if the module doesn't work, you can try to flash a custom rom and see if it then works.
i think that it is a bug
On S5 secure storage work with Root and Xposed without any Xposed Module. You only must do a factory Reset. Or deleze some files in Data Partition.

Did you solve this? I think it has something to do with xposed. Private mode has been working with root for me but since I installed xposed, I have problems. What did you find out?

You need a modded file in /system/priv-app plus a permissive kernel

It includes decompiling apks, so best way is to use a custom kernel which already supports this from beginning

XPosed buggy

Hi,
First I'm french so sorry for grammar.....
I have a oneplus one with android 5.1.1 / Cyanogen OS 12.1.1 / nethunter (link)
My phone is rooted and I have XPosed Installed but my phone bug a lot. I got reboot when watching yt video or playing game ; phone totally freezing so I need to force reboot ; home button not working.
So I uninstalled XPosed and nothing no bug at all.
I'm thinking XPosed makes all the bug but I need XPosed form other apps
Anyone has any Idea why there is all this ****.
Thanks

Hmm,substratum doesn't work with 5.1.1 so you're dependent on xposed for theming...well,you've to prioritize here..

Nope, further development for nethunter has been closed so I don't think even they will be able to address these issues.

I use those too but you have to be careful what you are deactivating. If you know how to handle these apps they are extremely powerful.
I have the same problem, with GPlay and WhatsApp! Am I the only one?

yeah, i ended up uninstalling both that apps (naptime and servicely). now im only using the module and franco kernel with some tweaks to lower down the perfomance.
I used to have this problem. The best way I could fix it was to ignire the OTA updates and download the full new rom update and flash that and clear the cache before booting up. Never had the problem since updating this way.

I always update with full rom zip, bcoz I'm rooted. didn't get this problem on 9.0.1. at least the module help to stop the battery from draining.

Me too, since 9.0.2. I don't have root access, so maybe a full wipe and installing the full rom next time will fix it.
