Hi Guys!! This is my first post.
After flashing some custom roms our APNs are lost i.e we dont see anything in Access Point Names(APNs)settings in our phone..
For mmx a110q this happens with Color Os and Lewa 0S 5...dont know maybe there are more..
.
.
So this is the solution for restoring APNs for all mobile operators.:victory:
Steps:-
1.Install APN Backup & Restore from the attached folder.
2.In your SD Card make a folder named 'ApnBackupRestore' and copy the attached 'apns-20140311104651.xml' file to it.
2.Now install Lucky Patcher from the folder.
3.Open Lucky Patcher and grant SuperSU permissions.
4.Now find APN Backup and Restore app in it.
5.Open options and select convert to system/app.
6.Wait a while, after completing reboot your phone..now APN Backup & Restore is your system app.
7.Now open APN Backup & Restore and from option select 'Disable ICS Check'.
8.Now select Restore APNs and choose the backup named 'apns-20140311104651.xml'.
9.Wait till the APNs are restored...
10.Reboot.

Hello guys...first of all, i would like to thank you for your time reading my thread and about my problem
And i am sorry if i posted this on the wrong section.
I have been searching for days and in many forums, also googled about my problem...but to no use
I hope the pro's out there can help me out.
Okay..i am playing maplestory live deluxe game from the play store.
The problem is that i want to restore a maplestory live save game file. The save game file is from another link on the internet, which someone else played and uploaded it for other people to use. I want to use it. The save game has many godly items that i need.
But i dunno how to patch the save game file to my maplestory live file, so that i can use that save game.
I use android device (samsung galaxy tab 2 7.0 gt-p3100)
It has [email protected] rooted
Already install titanium backup
The person who posted the save game link said that, the save game file must be extracted and placed under sdcard/titanium backup folder on my device. Then open the titanium backup app and search for the folder...then hit restore.
The biggest problem is, my titanium backup could not detect the save game file that i got from the link.
I know the file is not corrupt cause other people who downloaded it has no problem whatsoever in restoring the file.
I already tried menu>prefrences>backup folder location>detect>whole device on my TB, but it says "no backup location was found"
The save game file is there under sdcard/titanium backup. I can see it clearly...but for some reason TB cannot detect it under the backup/restore tab.
I have also tried reboot to recovery and fix permission...but the problem persist.
Do help me...and thank you in advance
Anyone??...help..
I'm not sure but what i think is u already have a backup in ur titanium backup so it wont show to restore data from the new saved file.
So try this
1. Take a backup of tb folder (in case u mess up)
2. Except the apk file in tb folder in sd card delete other 2 files.
3. Then try the same procedure as above (i.e. copy the data to tb folder again....and so on)
Sent from A2 running
System 1 : Jb leak 4.1.2
System 2 : Useless (Almost)
System 3 : Slimbean
System 4 : Slimkat (latest)

Sorry..but i don't get what u are saying.
Delete other 2 files? Which file?
There are 3 files on your tb folder
1. Apk
2. Tar.gz (data)
3. Properties file (all compressed)
U have to delete the tar.gz (the data file) in ur tb folder and then put the new data file in that folder and try restore again.

Negative...does not work for me.
Okay...its my first time using TB..
I think the main problem is that i dunno how to access folder or file from TB.
Whenever i hit the Backup/Restore in TB it only opens a list of app that says "Ordered by app name (click to change)"
The list of app name is very long and have 3 colours : red, green and white.
Well i know the red coloured is the OS Kernel and can malfunction your device if u delete or wipe it.
But i do not see any file or folder to access from there (Backup/Restore)
So, how do i backup or restore any file or folder if it isn't there..?
For example, u said to backup my tb folder...i know that the tb folder is under sdcard/titanium backup..
But i don't see it in the Backup/Restore in TB. Is there something i'm missing here?

I didnt mean backup/restore tab ... what i said was just copy your tb folder from sd card to pc in case u mess and can restore easily.
And can u just send me the file so that i can check on my side if it works.
Ok..i dunno how to put the file in this post.
But u can get the file here.. http://www.mediafire.com/?g9pvpg26gqtfg
Its a list of save game that this person uploaded and share with other people to use
I need the maplestorylvdelx.zip file and having trouble with it.
Like i said..when i extract it and put it under sdcard/titanium backup...TB just not detecting it.
When i hit Backup/Restore in TB and click on Maplestory icon to restore data...there is no restore option...only backup option.

Well the problem at last .... its not a tb backup file..
If u wanna see how does a tb saved game file actually look like, download a7 (i.e. asphalt 7 game file) from the same link u gave me and open the zip.
Those are the tb files needed to restore game data using tb software like i told u previously (tar.gz and properties file).
Now for your solution
As your file is simple save game data file......
You only need to copy the downloaded file (i.e. maplestory.zip) to root/data/data
And start the game and u will get the saved data.
Hit thanks if i helped you

Okay...first of all, thank you for your patience with me.
Now i finally know the difference between a TB save file and a normal save game data.
Just one last noob question...
U said to extract the maplestory.zip then put it under root/data/data right?
Errr...where do i find the root/data/data folder?....lol
When i open My Files under storage>sdcard , there is no root or root/data/data folder..
But, i do have ES File Explorer and ASTRO File Manager app..
When i use both this app to look in my device...there is also no root/data/data folder... BUT there is a folder named root that is located under device...along with other folders (acct, cache, config, d and so on)
Is that the folder u are mentioning? But the root folder is empty.
And exactly what do i see in this root/data/data folder anyway?
Is it empty or have something in it?

Normally, to restore SMS or MMS from an old backup, one can just restore the nandroid backup, use a third party SMS backup program to backup the data to sdcard or gmail, restore or install new rom, then restore the SMS from the third party backup software.
However, in my case, I had a nandroid with data on it that I wanted to keep but that wouldn't boot.
So I did some searching and others have had this problem before but I figured I'd put it here for others that may have the same problem. I am not taking credit for this I just found various pieces of info around the web and xda.
Requirement:
1. Winrar.
2. CWM backup
3. Windows
4. Brain
Here's the process:
To restore SMS/MMS from a CWM backup using MS Windows:
1. Install Winrar on your system
2. Open CWM backup folder
3. Now extract data.ext4 on your system
4. The contents of the data.img will be extracted to this folder. Wait for extraction to complete
5. Browse to data\data\com.android.providers.telephony\databases in the extracted folders
6. copy mmssms.db, mmssms.db-journal, to sdcard
7. use root explorer to copy these three files to \data\data\com.android.providers.telephony\databases
To restore contacts/call log from a CWM backup:
Repeat above process for \data\com.android.providers.contacts\databases
contacts2.db, contacts2.db-journal
Note: Be aware that replacing the existing files with those extracted from the backup will remove the existing data so if you're not 100% sure what you're doing, change the names to mmssms_OLD.db or otherwise back them up before pasting the files from the backup.
NOTE : You can also use Nandroid Browser , Nandroid Manager
Sorry to say.....not worked for me....
good work
Thank you, it works on my Samsung Galaxy S2 Gt-I9100,
you are my Hero.
I had no luck with this as the app versions seemed to differ. But there's this awesome python tool on github -- github.com - t413 - SMS-Tools -- which let's you export the db file's content into an xml file which can then be restored with "SMS Backup & Restore". That worked!
Hi everyone.
Today I'm posting a method to change your status bar, dialer, contacts or any other system app with a custom app that's usually more beautiful and works better. This method, as for me, is much safer than flashing. Also I'd recommend this if you want to avoid the chances of a person at the service center (if you brick your device while flashing a new Rom) detecting that your phone's rooted by finding the recovery installed.
BEFORE I POST THE TRICKS I'LL HAVE TO WARN YOU, AS A FORMALITY THAT ANY DAMAGE CAUSED TO YOUR DEVICE IN ANY WAY DIRECT OR INDIRECT DUE TO THIS POST SHALL BE SOLELY YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.READ ANY FURTHER ONLY IF YOU AGREE TO THIS.
Why would anyone want to use this method ?
Because the flashing method didn't work or maybe coz it bricked your phone. You might also want to try the lucky patcher method out if you don't want to install CWM or just for an adventure Here's how you do it :
1. First, download the given zip file or the file/folder which has your required SystemUI.apk.
2. Extract the systemui.apk in the zip to ur sd card.
3. Backup ur rom (just in case) and also backup the status bar app using titanium backup (preferred) or copy SystemUI.apk n SystemUI.odex to any location on ur sdcard.
4. Force close status bar/ the system app using defaulttask manager.
[Optional]
5. Use any app like root apps uninstall or titanium backup (preferred) to uninstall the system app status bar or using any root enabled file browser delete /system/app/SystemUI.apk and SystemUI.odex.
6. [mod edit: Lucky patcher references removed]
7. Go to tools, select patch to android, and check the first three options. The phone will reboot.
8.Open the app, Touch the rebuild and install option.
9. Select sdcard n browse to the SystemUI.apk u extracted. 10. From the list of options select install as system application. Click yes when asked to reboot.
11. After reboot you'll see ur new status bar/ newly installed app.
NOTE: DO NOT USE THIS Method to install the framework-res.apk or to install any framework mod as it won't work. Also I personally would recommend that you keep away from flashing/replacing the framework-res.apk as it bricked my phone when I tried to.
DON'T FORGET TO HIT THANKS.

Hello Friends This is my first TUTORIAL.
DO, ANYONE RATHER THAN ME (AS A NOOB) NEEDS SOME SYSTEM OR USER INSTALLED .APKS from CWM (clockwork mod) Backups? It would be easy to get them just by Re-installing the Backups. But in some Cases we don’t want to restore the whole system backup instead of SOME APPS or DATA Only.
So Here’s the Tutorial to Extract the .APKs or DATAs From the Backups which is in the .tar format. (CWM RECOVERY only.) found By ME. (I don’t know if anyone Other than me have already found this Method. Coz I Didn’t find any.)
Steps:-
1. The BACKUP of your ROM (from which you want to Restore .APKs / DATA)
2. A Computer / Android Device.
3. 7 – Zip installed (for a Computer PC) / 7 zipper (free in the Play Store) Installed (for a Android Device)
4. Now go the Backup folder and Open It.
5. If you want to restore System (Pre-installed) .APKs of CWM RECOVERY find the File Named “system.ext4.tar.a”
6. If you want to restore your USER INSTALLED .APKs of CWM RECOVERY find the File Named “data.ext4.tar.a”
7. Open it with the Respective Installed “7-Zip | 7 Zipper” via the Device you have.
8. And Navigate to the Folder “system --> app” for Pre-Installed | and for USER installed APK.s “data --> app”
9. Now you’ve got to the Respective Place and you have the Whole .APKs of your Android. Restore / Copy them Which ever you want.
10. By this Method you can obtain much more than just APKs. Coz it has simply all the Vital Data or Information of your ROM.
Note: For Installing SYSTEM APPS you have to put it to your Root/System/App folder. And give it the Appropriate PREMISSIONs.
I hope You find it Helpful Noobs. just like me.
Thanks. & Regards,

hmm... thanks for your advice sir.
but does it offers to restore odex files.?
and other kind of files like built.prop etc.?
Most of the moto e5 users have the same issue where after reverting back to stock rom from a custom rom, mobile data doesn't work, auto rotation doesn't work, it won't detect when you pick up your phone- and others... So these issues are related to sensors and connectivity. I found that my imei number gets lost in stock rom. Let's fix it and get our old Motorola back-
Before Starting
You have to backup certain things from a custom rom where everything (Data & Sensors) works fine-
You must use MT File Manager
1/ Boot into TWRP, click on backup, select storage- sd card, select FSG, EFS, PERSIST. Then swipe to backup.
2/ Open Mt file manager. Backup sensors folder from /mnt/ vendor/persists/sensors.
3/ Backup APN settings from /system/etc/apns-conf.xml.
Download & install stock ROM
1/ Download & install rescue and smart assistant tool from here
2/ Boot you mobile into fastboot mode and connect it with PC.
3/ Open rescue and smart assistant tool & it will detect your device.
4/ Rescue menu will automatically open up. Click on download button to start downloading the rom.
5/ After completing the download, open file explorer and find the stock rom zip that you downloaded. If you can't find it in RSA program files directory, simply search for it (You can search a keyword from the name that you saw while downloading the rom in RSA. For example- nora users can search "nora"). Then cut and paste it to a convenient directory. Extract the zip to folder name.
6/ Copy all files of platform-tools folder & paste them to the stock rom folder.
7/ Download the attached flash.zip file, extract it and move the bat file to stock rom folder.
8/ Make sure your device is connected to pc in fastboot mode. Then double click on the flash.bat file. It will take 5 to 10 minutes.
If you see no service on top then try the fixes. If one doesn't work, try the next-
Fix- 1
Boot into TWRP and restore FSG, EFS & PERSIST backup. Reboot.
Fix- 2
Open MT file manager. In your left side, Open the backed up sensors folder. In right side, Go inside /persist/sensors/. Then copy and replace the 3 files from left to right side. Reboot.
Fix- 3
Open MT file manager. In right side, go inside /system/etc/. Then copy and replace apns-conf.xml file from left side to right side. Reboot.

Ahh, my bad. It's a serious issue of stock rom for a long time. That's why I thought it should help people in the ROMs section. Anyways ..
