I have bought one 100 rs OTG cable from market ...and tried connecting my pendrive with handset but no luck ...can someone help me on ths...as if it works then it wo b really handy to transfer files..

You must be using a pendrive above 8 gb, or the otg cable is defective.
I have found that any pendrive above 8 gb is not supported..

P.S: I have connected 16gn pendrive.
I think the porblem is with OTG Cable.
ya i think problem might be with cabke but ...on more thing i want to tell that whn i connected usb mouse wid same cable it was working fine ...Why is it so ?
i am using 32 gb mem card whch is full expandable capacity and was trying to connect 16Gb pendrive
is it possible to connect to additional memory whn u hav utilised full expandble memory ?

otg issues
Hei,
OTG cable is working fine however whenever I plugged the usb,
it detects "safe to remove external USB".
The pendrive was working fine with the phone. Problems started soon after I pull out the cable unexpectedly
Hope this helps: otg cable working with other phones , samsung s3 tested
pendrive works 8 gb
I recently used the pendrive for booting windows .??

Check the format of the pendrive.
Format the pendrive in fat32 format and not NTFS.
Works with mine!!

I don't think that the recent versions of FWs do have TVout Support
but in most of the sites it says in their specification that it has got a TV out
How about usb on the go? Nobody has a word on it... Anybody having the cables should test it.. I suppose rex has them., it'd be nice if we get a confirmation atleast on usb OTG...

the phone doesn't have any USB port like in computers it has mini usb and pendrives doesn't have have any mini usb

sorry can't help don't have such kind of cable ....
This phone's chip definitely support tv out & usb otg facility...but samsung has purposefully disabled it...!! Otherwise no one will buy samsung galaxy S. But I am sure if we can change kernal & make it compatible to support these facilities...but sad part is that our phone is ignored by developers & not that much famous as compared to htc or motorola android phones...!!!! At least for now we cant expect such wonderful facility on our phone....!!!

i did get the tv output with a Nokia tv output cable. both video and sound worked... cant remember the firmware version though.
and for the OTG thanks to sztupy, it son the way....
I've used TV out with jvu and semaphore 2.5.0, worked well, got a cable from ebay specifically for the sgs i9000, cost £2 or £3

Found two files related to tv out when decompiled Settings.apk...
Also found many strings related to tv out in public.xml.
Cant figure it out why those files are there..?
Using apk manager it shows error when decompiling settings.apk
Any idea..?

Hey guyss... I am new to xda and this is my first ques.. I don't know where to ask questions.. so I am posting here (sorry for inconvenience).. actually I have brought Micromax a116 canvas HD yesterday. And I am facing some issues with it.
1) Whenever i connect canvas hd to charging the touch responds wrongly and apps open automatically. This only happens when i connect the charger. I have replaced two phones but still having the same issue. Is there anyone to fix this issue?
2) camera is not clear as 8 mp should be and not as HD
3) and now silly ques...can we move apps to ext SD card w/o rooting the phone.
Plz help me guyzz...

1) Are you using the charger given by MMX? I used a samsung to charge my A116 and it performed badly. But no problems with the MMX charger. Its happened to me with some other phones in the past.
2) It is what you get in low end phones. Image Quality does not depend entirely on MP of camera. Its just a number.
3) No. You have to root the phone to swap internal memory and external SD.

Sir I m using original MMX charger but still there is issue...and sir there is one more issue...battery is getting drained very faster..

Sir tried it but app does not work. Plz help me.
try the following
1.remove the battery of your phone and re insert it and restart ur phone
2.and as u mentioned u bought ur phone just recently, take it to the service centre.they will not charge u anything (u will be charged if their was a mishandling on ur part)
3.u can also try a custom rom for ur canvax
4.it is also possible that the software installed on ur phone is corrupted and the battery is not charged properly.also read the troubleshooting guide of d user manual.it will be of great help.
1) This happens in every Micromax device due to comparatively low quality hardware. The screen starts receiving the voltage and gives false output. This generally happens ONLY WHEN battery is below 30% and u use it during charging. So first let it charge above 30% n then use while charging.
2) Camera in Mmx JellyBean devices is not up to the mark. Camera is at its best in ICS.
3) I would HIGHLY recommend u to root ur device to enjoy most out of it. Try custom roms like JMP for A116. :thumbup:

When you do App2SD, it transfers only the installed app to Internal memory not the external card. So to transfer app to external SD, sadly, YOU HAVE TO ROOT THE PHONE!

Hi,
Just try with a different branded charger it will behave correctly. when used the mmx charger given along got the same problem but now when i use samsung, its good and no problem... try it cheerz

Is there any option to use card storage as default write storage. My whats apps and other downloaded vedio images saves in Internal memory, even i have installed link2sd card. if any option please share.

just go in setting> storage ther u can see default storage option internal or external
select external and you done.
if u want to install apk in sd card u must have rooted device.

You can try swapping internal and ext SD card. See the below thread on this.

I had installed OMINI ROM in my note2 gt n7100. But my memory card has been blocked after this installation. I am unable to change its data anyhow. Even then windows7 is also unable to harf/soft format it.
