Please Help!!!!! I have a rooted Samsung Galaxy S3 that I have a problem with. I was going through my phone trying to get java to work on the phone and I noticed you had to copy a file into the lib folder, so when I tried to start all over to see if I had done something wrong I deleted the lib folder and right when I did that the phone kept saying touchwiz has stopped working, so i turned it off and turned it on and then it wouldnt get passed the white samsung logo and then went straight to Android update recovory and if i put reboot now it just keeps taking back to the recovery state, I also did wipe data and factory reset but that didnt work either. I have tried to flash a custom firmware that i flashed on it to get it rooted but the problem stays the same is there anyway i can fix this and get my phone back?

Which recovery are you running (stock, CWM,TWRP,Philz etc) ?
As I see it, you've got 2 options:
1- Flash back to stock rom using Odin (see S3 thread FAQ)
2- Download other custom rom (I suggest the one i'm using), copy it into your device (you can mount your device SD in recovery mode),
perform wipe data + cache wipe + delvik wipe, and flash the rom.

My friend has a Captivate. He lost all his google apps, android market, gmail, etc. He flashed gapps.zip from his recovery and now his phone is not working right. When he flashed a new rom to his phone, and it brought up the welcome screen it shows it for about 2 seconds and then reboots. He is also almost unable to access the recovery becuase of this, but even when he finally was able to access it and wipe everything, dalvik, cache, data/system, it still has issues. Nothing is fixing the issues from the gapps.zip. He was wondering if there is a way to wipe his entire phone from a update.zip file. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.
Please note that even when he wipes everything in recovery and flashes a new ROM, it still reboot on the welcome screen and he is unable to resolve this issue.
Ok, so he has now wiped all cache and system files, now instead of showing teh galaxy S logo with the cyanogen logo underneath, it shows just the AT&T screen, but it will not go any furhter, it just sits there. He says that because he is now unable toget into android he cannot access the recovery and the volume up/down is not responding. Is his phone Bricked?
Have you used Odin 1-click to revert back to stock?
had my friend use the Odin 1 click and he said it still did not work. He cannot get the volume up/down trick to work, when before all this it worked just fine. I am going to guess that the only thing he could try is the jig method. He swaers that Odin3 is not doing anything
Hi guys, well I decided to install the latest cyanogenmod.and forgot to hit clear cache so for that reason (i think) the latest update broke my phone. So I was no big deal go back to download mode with CWM... nope it was wiped so I was stuck using Odin, once again I was like whatever I have the original rom of GB and ICS let me simply put it on.
Well I was able to successfully install on the phone but once the phone reboots I see the android installing the app then reboot and it stays stuck on the Samsung Galaxy S2 LTE logo. I left it there for close to 2hrs and nothing.
Please help, I need my phone.
get into recovery wipe caches and data reset
I rooted my phone using the guide found here on the forums. Everything went fine. I then downloaded the google wallet installer.apk , ran it, my phone restarted and would not boot all the way, It would stay at a black screen and vibrate every few seconds. I pulled the battery and now it will get to the Samsung Glaxy S III logo and freeze. I can still boot into recovery and download modes, I tried doing a factory reset, and cache wipe and system wipe from recovery but with no luck.
Did you make a back up before installing Google wallet? Do you still have a ROM on in your Sd Card?

No and no, right now im trying to use odin to flash back to stock and see if that works. I know I was dumb not to back up before hand.
Why have you not Odin back to stock then?
God bless the American people
Hey guys hope someone can point me to the right direction or knows this problem:
Galaxy Tab 10.1 Wifi (P5110).
Device will only boot recovery no matter what. (both with stock or custom recovery AND stock or custom rom installed - tried all combinations already)
Stock rom has been installed with odin and pit-repartition has also been tried.
When I turn on the tablet it boots straight to recovery. On stock recovery it says something about update, then "no command" and when I then choose reboot system, it says error and powers the device off.
Please help.
nobody an idea?
I had this kind of behaviour on another device before - dont exactly remember if also was samsung - but the solution was to clear out a stuck OTA update which was stored in a special partition which would normally not get wiped of flashed over. (by reformating or writing it full with /dev/zero)
Thinking back I dont think it was a samsung device though - but the "error picture" is the same.
But in this case I'm unsure where ota updates would get stored other than cache partition. Already tried clearing out some partitions on this thing - since its a wifi only model - can I clear EFS or use "reformat all" (dunno how exactly that option is called in odin) without totally bricking it? (never had to do this but since I'm out of ideas... )
Please anyone.. =)

definitely tried that. But no longer have the device, so cant try it out again unfortunately. But thanks for your reply!
ok. my tmobile s6 is stuck on tmobile logo. things i can do:
-reboot into download mode.
-reboot into recovery.
things i have tried:
-wipe factory/data
-RE-root using newest odin - boots to an android is upgrading "starting apps" but just keeps looping with no change over 5 mins.
-wiping AFTER rerooting. goes back to tmobile logo.
possible cause:
did the volume hack mod in tmobile section but never changed permissions to 0640 (or whichever number its supposed to be). my phone has been rooted for 2 days with no problem other than monir battery drain.
anyone have any ideas? im thinking odin or flash a stock factory image but i dont think samsung has posted a tmobile factory image yet. anything else?

Did you try plugging it into computer and running KIES it has a recover device option or something like that. I haven't used it years so don't know if it is what you need, but might be worth a shot just to see if it even connects.
kies hasnt been updated to be compatible with s6 yet. called samsung and they verified they are working on it. man im out of ideas.
