Recommend against flashing 2.7. I would wait for a couple revisions before flashing 2.7.

Try Flashify
forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2349847
koeASOP 4.4.2 w/ Franco kernel + F2FS

v2.7 flashed with Flashify and everything seems to work. (backup, wipe, settings, & flash)
This update is especially faster.

+1 for flashify

ERROR 7

Hi.
I have problem ERROR 7. I try flash some ROMS, and last flash crashed and write ERROR 7. I found some solutions, but every time you need copy some files to memory on phome. BUT.. my System doesnt start, then I have no chance to copy files to phone. When system start, every time go to recovery
How can i fix it?
PLS help Mi..
THX..
If I'm right, error 7 is an issue with the updater-script. Try redownloading the ROM, because it could be a bad download, but if it still doesn't work, switch recoveries

If you were trying to flash KitKat without CWM 6.0.4.3 or a wrong ROM for your phone you'll get this message.. It is generally due to the updater script..
What phone do you have, and what rom were you installing?

Preferred kernel flasher apk.

I have used franko.kernel updater before and I really like being able to flash and backup a kernel from within the app, I have not flashed a custom kernel on the nexus 5 since I got it so the question is:
What good alternatives are out there to flash kernels from the phone itself?
Thanks.
Sent from my Nexus 5 using xda app-developers app
Falsify if it's an image file. Your recovery if its a zip.
I totally forgot I could flash a kernel via recovery, I also downloaded "kernel tweaker" from the play store and it seems nice.
Thanks

Why don't you just use FKU?
I used it when I had a nexus 4 a long time ago, I was looking for a new alternative just to see if there was anything better.

Great app but this isn't an official one.
The XDA thread has been closed and there's no update on Google Play for 2 months.
I don't know if jmz still has other projects... Flashify is also a great app to directly flash the img files without a PC.
I heard that
Code:
fastboot flash recovery TWRP.img
works pretty well...

It doesn't hurt to know all the options and procedures. Actually OP would have already known this if he hadn't used a toolkit to root in the first place
-1 for toolkits
But yes, options are:
Fastboot flash img
recovery install zip
Flashify flash img
Thanks to all for the help suggestions , but yeah I used a tool kit which means I don't know how to do it manually that's why I asked for the easiest way to update .

It would be good to learn how to do it manually. It's really pretty easy. And you'll know your phone better and know how to do things yourself.

[REQ] Android-L Bootanimation

I would do this myself, but to be honest, it's proving more difficult than I thought. We need it in an MP4 format--but the way the bootanimation loops makes a difference here. If you haven't seen the Android-L Bootanimation yet, check the video below. It's probably the nicest bootanimation I've ever seen (it fades to the lockscreen and loops everything perfectly, yet stops looping right before your device has fully booted).
I've attached the bootanimation from my Nexus 7. Hopefully someone can make this work!

It's not so much the animation, but the timing of the looping that's a nice touch.
I would try it to see on my maxx. But it seemed a little simplistic the moto x animation is much more involved. I guess I was expecting more.

Its not a bug. Its a lack of development
No recoveries on any snapdragon 800 device could get the correct time until we understood how the Qualcomm time daemon worked. Once we knew, it was implemented in Philz and TWRP. CWM doesn't bother implementing anything modern. Its a dead recovery.
